@Narwhal88 sorry to hear you're on too. I'm glad I found you ladies as we all seem in similar situations and going through investigations at the same time etc. 7 years is a decent size gap! Can see why you thought you'd be first!! I told another friend today as she asked me out right and I didn't have the energy or heart to lie to her. Luckily we don't live near my friends anymore as I moved to London and they all stayed in our town. So hubs doesn't see them much, he'll prob see them next over Xmas/nye and I'm hoping we'll be in a clinic by then, and I know Dh won't mind ppl knowing at that point. So far, he's none the wiser! 🤫 could you just tell a select few and swear them to secrecy?

My period has arrived today as expected 😢

We've got our fertility referral on the 11th November. But at this moment in time I'm tempted to cancel it and just proceed with the adoption idea 😢 am so fed up

@notyetamumbuttrying a few people know about us ttc (because we had a very complicated miscarriage so I was quite ill and had to tell people) but they don't know that we are having issues now although I imagine they might have guessed given that its a year later with no bump haha

Dps seamen analysis come back, count still on the low side but the general quality/motility looks much improved so I guess that is a positive thing?

@RobinRose great news!! So what's next then? Keep trying naturally? Can I ask what he did differently? Mine will have his second one mid Nov so want to check he's doing it all 😂 is his count above 15mil per ml?
@Annny27 ah sorry to hear about the MC! They may think you're just taking a break from it. No one would blame for you that!

@notyetamumbuttrying will keep plodding along as we are, maybe look at things in the new year? Might get another test done then. I cant say he has done anything differently apart from taking CoQ10 and a multivitamin. He cut down on alchol slightly but not massively. It says count is 25.81 10⁶/ejaculate and it should be above or equal to 39 x10^6/ejaculate? So no idea 🤷🏼‍♀️

@RobinRose his count is the same as my Dh! Did it show the per ml figure? That's meant to be the one that counts! How's his morphology and motility? My Dh's was abysmal!! 2.3 morphology and 14% motility. Meant to be above 3 or 4 for morphology and above 32% for motility 😬

Other half got the second part of his semen analysis back (he had to chase it up because they only sent count/motility at first). Both those fine, but low morphology. He's already cut down drinking, taking vitamins, and wearing baggy boxers, so looks like my suggestions that he gets fit will finally be taken seriously 🏋️

@Tofu35 here's hoping! Mines started running at long last, although he didn't go this weekend. Gotta keep my beady eye on him 😜

@RobinRose yep, we should introduce them 😂 ooh motility is good at least! Can't believe how poor my Dh's was. He's not overweight so it must be the smoking and Saturday booze sessions! I wish I knew how detrimental it was to sperm years ago and I woulda put a stop to it sooner!!

Morning all, AF is due either tomorrow or Thursday and I'm desperately trying not to symptom spotting with limited success. At least this month once she starts I can book my hycosy so it will be progress.

The pot and form is finally there at GP to collect, nervous but eager to get it done as i have signs of PCOS and long cycles, OH is quite overweight but has lost some weight recently now he's not so stressed at work, doesn't really exercise, drinks a little bit more than I'd like but doesn't binge, he has cut down, eats healthily but scoffed at supplements. Also trying insemination in between times this time as a combination of 12 hour shifts as a nurse with ME and stressed husband with intermittent ED has been so difficult!

Hi can i join 😊 TTC my first and on cycle 13. Iv had day 3 bloods to check hormones and OH has had SA all came back satisfactory. I just got my first peak OPK the other day so im around 3dpo. Sad that im still here a year later but also know that it can take a while so just keeping my fingers crossed tighter each month. I try to keep relaxed but how can you when its such a life changing thing to happen!!

@Motherofkittens28 hope she stays away! Good that you have plans in place for it's potential arrival though!
@kerrym87 ooh get collecting and good luck! Try him on proxceed plus, they're sachets that you mix into a drink twice a day so he might do that over popping pills!
@xoxochellexoxo course you can! Welcome 😊 good to hear all came back fine. Are you going for day 21 bloods as well? Checks you ovulated and your thyroid levels. Is OH on supplements?

Iv had my thyroid checked in the first lot of bloods along with lh and fsh i think, no OH not on anything xx

You should ask for day 21s as well @xoxochellexoxo it's important they check that ovulation occurred. Might be an idea to get him on wellman or something, just as an extra boost!

I will look into that thankyou. I think we got the wellman but they were huge so put him off abit lol but i can look at something else for him

@xoxochellexoxo yeah mine hated taking them! Always complained about the taste. He's on proxceed plus now but they're pricey. Willing to pay it though if it improves the sperm as ivf is far more expensive 😆

Hi everyone, after not posting for a while I was hesitant to post this but want to share my story.

So... I had my very first BFP after 21 cycles of TTC. I'm over the moon and anxious at the same time, but I wanted to share what was different for me this cycle just in case helps anyone.

This cycle started with a HSG scan that might have 'flushed' my tubes to allow for better transport (they say some women have increased fertility after the scan, even if there were no obvious blockages)

On top of that, I started alternative treatment. Weekly fertility acupuncture and daily herbal chinese medicine (made in to a tea) that was specifically formulated to correct my hormonal imbalances (irregular cycles and my ovulation date kept moving).

And boom I got pregnant. Could be total coincidence, but after ttc for so long I don't believe that!

Anyway that's my story and I guess I wanted to create some awareness around alternative therapies in case it helps one of you.

@anitaatje33 aw congratulations lovely. I keep checking the thread for good news. I got pregnant the cycle we did acupuncture as well. So pleased for you. The first few weeks the anxiety is awful. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy x
