I have just called my gp to get a call back to see if i can get my bloods done to see if iv ovulated, fingers crossed for me x

@Anitaatje33 thats wonderful news! Congratulations! Im just about to have my second acupuncture session and as soon as AF arrives will be booking my hycosy so hopefully its all lucky for me too. All the best wishes for an easy pregnancy!

I have a question. So at my work there are some things you are not meant to do when you are pregnant. So when I finally do get pregnant do I need to tell my work immediately?

@Anitaatje33 that's great! don't worry about telling us as its great to have some positive stories after so long. gives us all a bit more hope! I was going to ask what tea you have but I don't have very irregular cycles just long ones that vary by no more than 7 days but have multiple episodes of EWCM. don't think we have accupuncturists where we are (looked previously for other reasons) apart from NHS for pain relief but might look again! congratulations again

@notyetamumbuttrying @Annny27 I'm only 4,5 weeks now, got a super clear positive from 12 dpo. I've been reading so much about fertility and alternative TCM treatment including many success stories with male infertility as well, definitive worth looking into this if your partners are up for it... might take some convincing ;)

@kerrym87 The herbal tea is prescribed only by a qualified herbalist/acupuncturist specifically for your symptoms, mine is a mix of 12+ Chinese herbs. Not something you want to try and figure out yourself. If you're up for it definitely give it a go, prescribing the herbs can be done virtually I'd say...

@Originalusername6432762 my partner doesn't want me to share our fertility stuff with people in real life which is quite hard for me! He doesn't mind me chatting about it in general but doesn't want to discuss our specific problems which is fair!

So I find it helpful to rant and chat on here haha!

@notyetamumbuttrying I think it is just sheer luck to be honest, you can be really unhealthy and have no fertility problems at all or super healthy with all manor of problems! Hope the urologist appointment goes ok!

I have my day 21 bloods appt on friday morning although i will be cd 24 as i only got a peak ovulation test 4 days ago, what can i expect from this test? She did say that i would more than likely be referred after this test.

Yeah in real life only two people know we are trying. Once I went to the doctors I felt it was ok but my other half won't tell anyone. This problem is mind rather than body but it's not gonna get fixed by him pretending everything is fine!

@Anny27 I'm thinking about it, think I need the reassurance as I don't believe it myself ;)

@xoxochellexoxo when I had my post ov bloods, they were able to tell me if I had ovulated and checked for things like pcos. They can compare levels at start of cycle and end to ensure things are at the levels they should be. Which can offer some reassurance if levels are fine, or can kick into gear other tests if something is lower or higher than it should be.

@Tofu35 will it not matter that my other bloods were taken 2-3 months ago? She said on the phone they checked me for pcos on my last bloods aswell as my thyroid, LH and FSH. Fingers crossed i have ovulated and they are normal readings thank you x

@Annny27 wouldn't that be amazing! 😏nhs next week! It was really quick too. Still not had the fertility referral through but got this one through in about two weeks!
@Anitaatje33 can you post any good links you found for the male factor infertility please. I haven't seen much myself in way of alternative therapies, just the usual diet, exercise and supplements.
@RobinRose yeah there's no rhyme or reason is there! Thank you. What's next for you and your partner?
@xoxochellexoxo I'm glad you're booked in now. I think it'll just be a progesterone test if they did others on day 3.

@Hayley19835 you're the same as me on both fronts then! Although the Nov appointment we're waiting on is Dh's second SA test. Still not got my referral through to the clinic. Must chase up today!

@notyetamumbuttrying we've got a 3rd and final SA on the 2nd for my OH before the apt on 17th to get results and decide where we go next. Hope you get your apt through soon 🤞🏻

Hi ladies sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks. Really great to see a BFP here!
On cycle day 35 now. Took 4 tests this cycle as I was convinced things felt different. All negative. My cycles vary between 28 to 34 days I just wish AF would hurry up now as I want to start a new cycle and have this PMT lift.

Morning all, AF arrived this morning and unfortunately the hospital has now told methat they only do the hycosy appointments on a Monday between 9 and 1pm and they can't fit me in until 9th of November! This means we have to abstain this cycle because you aren't allowed to dtd before you have it done. I've just been in floods of tears, I know a month doesn't seem like much but I'll be 39 in 3 months and I'm just so scared I'm too old and every month makes it less likely we will get our baby. We got referred for this scan a month ago but had to wait to book it until first day if the new cycle, in hindsight I should just have lied about where I was in my cycle to get it booked in sooner.
