@kerrym87
Yeah I did yesterday and it was negative ☹️
I guess I'll just add it on to the list of things for my ultrasound referral!

kerrym87 · 12/10/2020 16:20

@Originalusername6432762, sorry to hear that. Its hard to know how to chart it isn't it? Do you chart bbt at all or track cervical mucous? Might give some indication but not always. Hopefully some other girls on here might be able to shed some light x

Unicornsparklez · 12/10/2020 17:25

Hoping to sneak in here. Sorry if not welcome. I’m currently on cycle 18. 6po. I’m 31 and OH is 28 TTC #1. We have had tests. At first they said my prolactin levels were high, then further tests they said showed they were normal, had ultrasounds also and so far not been able to identify anything medically wrong. OH had 1 sperm analysis. This showed all normal except borderline low morphology at 4%. We’ve both been taking supplements and trying to improve his morphology. I was using one step ov sticks before but this month I decided to really try everything. Used clear blue digital to detect fertile week & peak day. Got a thermometer and tracking BBT so noted my pre ovulation dip & post rise and DTD every other day through fertile week until 3 days of raised temp to pinpoint I’d ovulated. We also used preseed for the first time every time we DTD as i seem to have a big lack of EWCM. I feel like we honestly couldn’t have done anything more this month and can only pray something worked this time! Good luck and baby dust to you all ☺️✨

Originalusername6432762 · 12/10/2020 17:49

@kerrym87
Thanks, I've been trying not to track and just using my period dates to guess and relax more? I'm not relaxed though just pretending 😂😂

So I just read that it's 6-12 days from ovulation to implantation and then I think it was up to 19 after that until you can have enough hcg to get a positive test, is that right or have I read this wrong???

Originalusername6432762 · 12/10/2020 17:50

@Unicornsparklez
Hi! Sounds like you've done it all! Good luck for this month 😊

Unicornsparklez · 12/10/2020 17:56

Thanks so much. Just a waiting game now 🙃✨

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/10/2020 18:36

@Unicornsparklez welcome and best of luck for this cycle!! Another thing you can try for EWCM is evening primrose oil tablets from day 1 to peak opk. Hopefully you won't need to though 😉

@notyetamumbuttrying ah thank you! I will look into it. I was also told that drinking grapefruit juice is meant to help but it was too late this cycle so I thought I could give that a whirl too. Il try anything at this point 😂 x

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/10/2020 19:21

Yep grapefruit juice is the other one! @Unicornsparklez I was doing both and noticed a difference for sure! Should start bk again seeing as I'm cd7.

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck with this month! I hope the very best for you! I'm trying not to take any tests until at least Sunday then il be 12dpo ish. I have one first response and I'm saving it. However I usually get very tender boobs & other pre AF symptoms around 5 days before AF is due onwards so i figure if I get that il assume AF is on route and not test at all until my approx due date.. I don't want to get crazy too this month 🤪 x

Annny27 · 12/10/2020 21:35

Eveninf :) had my progesterone test this morning so fingers crossed my levels are all okay :)

@Unicornsparklez welcome lovely! We are also about 18 months in to ttc number 1!

@notyetamumbuttrying I tried grapefruit juice but honestly it tastes sooo gross it wasn't worth it haha

Narwhal88 · 12/10/2020 21:51

I also tried cough medicine to increase EWCM and seriously it did work 😂😂😂 tasted so bad though I only did it one month. I need to step up my ways to increase EWCM as I have a severe lack of it as well which can't be helping to get the very low normal sperm that are there to the right place! I feel like I've mostly given up trying to conceive naturally now though. I'm so fed up of it, just take me to the IVF already!

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/10/2020 13:56

@Narwhal88 I feel exactly like you now!! Sounds like we have similar issues with our partners sperm issues and just not really trying anymore and waiting for ivf to start. I've kinda had enough now!
@Annny27 good luck for the results! Yeah it's not the best tasting juice is it 😝
@Unicornsparklez thanks, and to you! Keep away from the tests 😂

Period is definitely here now. Back to day 1! I'm going to be positive though, look forward to another cycle, try to think of a project to keep me occupied and stop trying to find stuff on google that tells me I'm pregnant when I'm not 😂

Chel93 · 13/10/2020 21:44

Hi im from the previous thread went a bit quiet as needed a break and found out my little boy has a suspected brain AVM so need to focus on him at the minute, coming up to the 24month and still no baby, my partner had a semen analysis in September I got the results today in the post as I don't see the fertility doctor again until the 1st December.
It says he has a normal sperms count and movement but there was a reduced number of normal sperms and its called teratozoospermia, im hoping we will still be able to conceive naturally, dont really know what this means and what we can do to help

Motherofkittens28 · 14/10/2020 13:00

Hi all, just had my first acupuncture session and she has recommended some different supplements, both for me and my OH to help with the morphology issues. I'm sure its nothing but I am now getting lots of little pinches in my lower right uterus and secretly hoping this could be a good sign as I'm 7dpo today!

Tofu35 · 14/10/2020 14:03

Coming up for the FW again, increasing the amount of exercise I'm doing (lockdown and me being a couch potato go hand in hand!) and trying to eat healthier in the hope this might be the month! ⛅

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/10/2020 18:58

@Originalusername6432762 home improvements are always a good one!
@Chel93 sorry to hear about your son! Hope he's ok! So it sounds like it's his morphology then, he should start on supplements if not on any. Do you have a follow up call to discuss it? If not, schedule one.
@Motherofkittens28 what was recommended? Hope it is implantation!
@Tofu35 I'm in FW too and just waiting patiently for DH to finish work so we can get it on!! 🤪

Hi all, is this a thread for anyone to join?

First day on mumsnet and currently at 12 months ttc, starting to feel as though it will never happen and was looking for others in a similar boat

Sorry if I've just jumped a private post, still learning how to use 😊 x

Annny27 · 14/10/2020 22:00

Its foranyone to join @Katie12346 :) welcome lovely but sorry you find yourself here too :(

11dpo now for me and no symptoms, feels like af is gonna come as usual!

Motherofkittens28 · 14/10/2020 22:03

@notyetamumbuttrying I've attached a screenshot of what she told me to get. For him was the zita West for men, the macca root and the DHA. For me the zita west for women and the DHA. Apparently DHA improves egg and sperm quality. Its pricey altogether but anything is worth a try at this point!

@Annny27
Nice to meet you 😊

I'm currently 2 days late for my period but
I did a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon which came back negative

I did it in the afternoon so wondering does it matter if you don't use your first wee of the day if you're already late? Or could doing it in the afternoon have affected it?

I don't have any other symptoms other than my boobs look a little bigger, but I'm not sure if that's my imagination as I want to be pregnant. 🙈

So frustrating!

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/10/2020 23:02

Welcome @Katie12346! Sorry you find yourself here tho! U started investigations with the drs yet? You should use first morning urine so try again tomorrow. I would've thought a faint line would've shown up in the afternoon though, but perhaps not.

@Motherofkittens28 I take those dha tablets now along with coq10 and folic acid. Trying Soya for the first time this cycle, just low dose. Hubs was on wellman but now proxceed plus, he won't take multiple vitamins annoyingly. Hmm
