@SS123456 have tried that as heard it too but no lucky this end! His swimmers go in circles or backwards anyway as his morphology was so low...2.3% so it's ivf for us!
@RobinRose can they check your tubes? Get a hycosy or a hcg?
@WicketBasket thanks, must keep my positivity up! Just hard sometimes but I'll get there. Wow that could be any time at all! How unhelpful of them 😣
@crazycatlady1981 great news hun! Pleased for you ☺️

I'm sorry to hear that @notyetamumbuttrying 😔, hopefully ivf will do the job 🤞🏻😊

WicketBasket · 17/12/2020 13:20

Can anyone offer any advice about the Premom app? I basically normally have 35 day cycles, pretty much on the dot. The last few cycles have been off, shorter by a few days so I think my app is adjusting the date of next predicted AF to next Wednesday (23rd) However, if I’m going by my ‘normal’ cycle length, I’d be due AF the Monday after (so the 27th).

However, I got a peak on my OPK on CD16 which was the 8th of December. Would it be possible for me to have a luteal phase of 16-19 days (if AF were to arrive on 27th) or is it more likely that the apps predicted date of AF on the 23rd is more accurate, giving a luteal phase of about 13-14 days?

Sorry for the long winded post, I’m just trying to get to grips with my bloody cycle (pun intended 😛) because it keeps moving around!! Thank you lovelies xxx

crazycatlady1981 · 17/12/2020 13:57

@WicketBasket I think the luteal phase tends to stay the same each month, but the date of ovulation can vary 🤔 So af always arrives the same amount of time after ovulation each month. If that’s makes sense.

Annny27 · 17/12/2020 14:01

Yep agree with @crazycatlady1981,

My ovulation date can change between cd13-17 but my period always arrives 14 or 15 days after ovulation:)

WicketBasket · 17/12/2020 14:03

Ahh I see @crazycatlady1981
This has been my first month using OPK's so I never actually knew when I ovulated but would it be safe to say that its most likely going to be AF arriving 2 weeks after ovulation rather than almost 3? Thank you hun! Smile

WicketBasket · 17/12/2020 14:05

Thanks @Annny27! That means that I may well be expecting AF next week rather than the week after.
It's such a faff with all this unknown up and down cycle business Grin
xxx

crazycatlady1981 · 17/12/2020 14:16

@WicketBasket you’re welcome! There’s a lot to get your head around with this ttc stuff! I find it amazing that about 2 and half years ago, I didn’t even know at what time in the month you could get pregnant!! Not that it’s really helped me any further along now that I do know! 🤣 amazing what you learn about your body during the process though! 😊

Tofu35 · 17/12/2020 14:21

This thread loves a pun today! Loving your work 😂

@crazycatlady1981 such good news, hoping it helps with the FW!

I think seeing me having cramps and being a bit sore after the hycosy the other day has inspired the couch potato OH to take some action. More fruit and went on a run! He said 'youre doing your bit, so I should do mine'. Granted this is only day 2 but it's some good news :)

Annny27 · 17/12/2020 14:36

@tofu35 thats promissing :D yeah they really don't have to do much compared to what we go through haha!

@wicketbasket yep my cycle is constantly keeping me on edge.....including this month when it was a day late leading me to think I was pregnant 😭

RobinRose · 17/12/2020 15:02

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm not sure, I guess so? Will have to wait for the appointment to come through. God knows when that will be!

@crazycatlady1981 my dp has been really tired with work the past couple of weeks so we weren't able to dtd much in my fertile week, I think we may have actually missed it! Would be awesome to conceive before the end of the year but I highly doubt it. Month 15 for us! How about you? (Sorry if you have already mentioned) hooe dps results come back ok!

crazycatlady1981 · 17/12/2020 18:05

@RobinRose we’ve been trying since July 2017, but with a few breaks here and there so I estimate roughly 2 and half years in total. Always tried to be fairly relaxed about it but the body clock has really kicked in this year as I just turned 39, so unfortunately it looks like ivf will be our best option.

@Tofu35 good to hear that OH has stepped up a bit! 👍🏻 Hope it’s continues!

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/12/2020 18:18

@SS123456 yes I hope so! Feeling hopeful it will do the trick considering they won't have to swim anywhere so hoping if injected into my egg and put in me it should work!
@Tofu35 whoop so pleased he's moved and made some effort! Here's hoping he'll keep it up!
@RobinRose hope not too much longer! I swear ttc is just a whole lot of waiting and disappointment 😔 let's hope we all get these bfp's one day and it'll all have been worth it!

OP posts:
WicketBasket · 17/12/2020 19:56

Thanks @crazycatlady1981! It’s ridiculous how much there is to learn which makes then boggles my mind even more when others around me are getting pregnant without knowing that the word uterus is another word for the womb Grin
Good to hear your DP is making changes! Fingers crossed for you Flowers

Aww that’s a cruel trick of your cycle @Annny27! Hoping your BFP is just around the corner Flowers💕

kerrym87 · 17/12/2020 21:38

Anyone that's struggling with dtd (We do mostly due to my shift work then I'm so tired sometimes) is home insemination in between and it's really helped with timing and feeling more relaxed. I could believe we hadn't gone for it before and it's helped both of us x

Annny27 · 17/12/2020 22:05

@kerrym87 we did it once when I had thrush! And we have the remaining pots and stuff if we ever need to do it again :)

RobinRose · 18/12/2020 08:41

@crazycatlady1981 that is quite sime time! How do you stay sane? I feel like giving up.

@notyetamumbuttrying it certainly feels that way doesn't it . Feel really down about it all at the moment, probably because I know af is coming

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/12/2020 09:40

@RobinRose I'm down too. Wiped and had blood this morning so that's me on again later. Have a pad on as nothing coming out yet but I know it will later. Was just saying to another group of ladies that it's so hard not to think it still might happen even with the male factor issue as I know Dh is making improvements and it's been over three months now. Ah well, just need to focus on this appointment in feb now. Hope you don't come on! 🤞🏾

OP posts:
WicketBasket · 18/12/2020 10:08

Aww @notyetamumbuttrying sorry to hear you’re feeling down, lots of love and Flowers to you!

WicketBasket · 18/12/2020 10:09

Anybody ever had their usual pre AF cramps and then go on to a BFP? I’m having cramps but I feel they are milder than usual (but I think I’m making that up and it’s all really in my head Grin) so wondering if anyone has anything to share?
Grrrr I hate the TWW AngryXmas Grin xxx

RobinRose · 18/12/2020 10:27

@notyetamumbuttrying that is rubbish, sorry af appears to be on her way, Cake (cake makes everything better!!) I hope i don't either but I just know I will!

@WicketBasket you wouldn't believe the amount of times I have googled cramps as a sign 🤦🏼‍♀️ every month I hope it is but nooo, always af for me!

Wouldn't it be much easier if pissing glitter was a sign?! Would save all this bloody symptom spotting 🤣

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/12/2020 10:43

@WicketBasket thank you 😊 I'm gonna drink champagne later 😂 we've had it in the fridge for agggggges so fuck it, it's getting drunk! I'm telling myself it's to celebrate the last working day of 2020!
@RobinRose thanks, horrible when you just know isn't it! Pissing glitter would be an amazing sign 😂 😆

OP posts:
WicketBasket · 18/12/2020 11:24

Yessss @notyetamumbuttrying celebrate!! Whoo hoo 😂😂 You have to be kind to yourself and I’ve always found that having this kind of mindset at least removes some of the stress Flowers

@RobinRose hahahah pissing glitter would be a great sign and would give you a free vajazzle BlushGrin😛 I think you’re right, I should give up and just move on. Damn TWW AngryGrin xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/12/2020 11:33

@WicketBasket it's making me fat though 😂 I'm forever treating myself when my period comes and with 15 months of it I've put on a stone and a half!! Need to get into shape for ivf so this is the last of wallowing in it now.
You might get lucky though so still keep the hope for now! 🤞🏾

OP posts:
WicketBasket · 18/12/2020 12:08

Hahaha @notyetamumbuttrying you sound the same as me! But you know, at least you’ve decided to make a positive change and I think it’s ok to have the occasional pick me up (Cake yum yum) and still keep yourself on track for IVF! You’ve got this Flowers

Thank you love 💕! I will try and stay hopeful but i think I also need a bit of a reality check- I always have these cramps before AF so why should now be any different? I think I was deluding myself into thinking that the cramps are lighter and then reading loads of threads where people have said they had lots of cramps and swore they were going to see AF but then they got their BFP!
Moral of the story? Stay away from the rabbit hole that is googling symptoms Grin xxx
