@RobinRose thank you! This is month 15 and we have private fertility tests booked in for the 22nd Dec! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤞🏻😊

RobinRose · 13/12/2020 10:36

@SS123456 Month 15 for us too but I am not expecting a miracle, only dtd once during fertile week, dp has been working so much , he is shattered. Hopefully you will not need the fertility tests! Have you told your dp?

SS123456 · 13/12/2020 11:00

I have all my fingers crossed for you @RobinRose you never know! 🤞🏻

He was asleep so I left the digital test on top of toilet lid for when he got up. He went in the bathroom and said 'you'll left one of your wee sticks on the toilet, is it meant to be here?' 😂. I had to tell him to take a look at it in the end and even then he was asking if this meant I was pregnant lol

Annny27 · 13/12/2020 12:04

@SS123456 congratulations lovely how amazing!!!! How many dpo are you??

@notyetamumbuttrying no not yet, due anytime between today and Tuesday morning. Usually I come on at 15dpo which is tomorrow

@kerrym87 they would have been able to detect pcos through the hormonal profiling and then confirm with US I think

SS123456 · 13/12/2020 12:14

Thank you @Annny27 ! 😊. I'm only 9dpo so I was super shocked! I only tested so I could get horrible feeling of a bfn done and dusted today rather than it ruining my Monday morning 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/12/2020 13:26

@SS123456 congratulations 🥳 what excellent timing!! We're month 15 and our fertility appointment is booked for 22nd feb! Praying I get a miracle like this too! So you hadn't started any investigations yet? And bless your Dh's reaction, so cute! Wow only 9dpo too, that's a good line for so early!
@Annny27 ah I see. Here's hoping you don't and a chain reaction has been started!!

Thank you @notyetamumbuttrying ! 😊. I'd had cycle day 3, cycle day 21, and thyroid bloods done. My OH had also done an at home SA as well but we were due to get a proper test for him and more involved tests for me next week! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂. I might see if the clinic can do an early scan at some point for me instead as I am super anxious this time around after mc'ing in Oct at 5 weeks

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/12/2020 13:42

@SS123456 what was the outcome of his at home SA? Yeah good idea with the early scan instead!

OP posts:
SS123456 · 13/12/2020 14:57

@notyetamumbuttrying it only showed colours rather than readings if that makes sense but it seemed to show high count and motility but I'm not sure how accurate it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh wow @ss123456! Congratulations on the bfp, a great early Christmas present!

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/12/2020 16:27

@SS123456 oh I see! Hard to read. Anyway, doesn't matter now as you're pregnant so all must be good! 😀

OP posts:
kerrym87 · 14/12/2020 06:23

@SS123456 that's great fingers crossed! My OH is always cheerful and says we might have a Xmas miracle but I try not to get hopes up, but ovulation has happened this cycle but unusually can't pinpoint exactly when so it'll be a surprise when AF arrives (or doesn't!). Would be the time were trying to get cd1-5 bloods! 😂 our first appt is 6th of jan so maybe some of your luck will rub off on us all! X

Tofu35 · 14/12/2020 09:35

OH grumble time- last night I mentioned to him that some of the Mumsnet OHs had a similar issue to him (low morphology), and the positive impact diet and exercise seemed to have. He scoffed and said "if you read the research, those things don't have any impact". So I snap and say "neither does sitting around doing nothing, so maybe give it a go???".
I'll now be told I'm 'nagging' him if I keep suggesting he goes for a run/walk/stop playing computer games. But if I don't, he literally will sit on the couch and think to himself "I'm taking the pregnacare vitamin, I'm doing all I can".

Ugh.

Annny27 · 14/12/2020 09:38

Morning ladies :) 15dpo and period due today. Not had any spotting yet but trying not to get excited as my period likes to surprise me sometimes 🙄🙄🙄

If I have not had any spotting yet tomorrow I may be tempted to test

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/12/2020 09:46

@Tofu35 how frustrating! Mine only really changed his act once he got his SA result and spoke to the dr. Has he had the SA yet?
@Annny27 defo test tomorrow, best of luck!
Off to a funeral today. My Dh's grandma so bit of somber day today x

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 14/12/2020 09:53

That's the thing @notyetamumbuttrying, he's had his SA done twice and because all levels were within normal range except mophology ('so it's just shape, it doesn't matter') he's been really chilled about it. I'd rather he was trying to get all the levels up, not just two out the three!

Annny27 · 14/12/2020 10:00

@tofu35 tell him that if count and motility increases, then the normal shaped sperm are more likely to get to the egg! So it absolutely does matter. I know you know this which is frustrating for you :(

@notyetamumbuttrying I also feel a bit nauseous but don't know if thats in my mind :p

Sorry to hear about your DHs grandma, hope the service is nice xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/12/2020 10:06

@Tofu35 ah I see! Very frustrating then, feel for you x
@Annny27 do you get nauseous before AF? I do sometimes, so I just recognise it as part of pms now. Here's hoping it's pregnancy for you though!
Thank you 🙏🏾

Little rant form me today.... so our referral from the gp has not been sent! When i first called 2 fridays ago the receptionist said she 'thinks'it has been sent which didn't fill me with confidence. So i called the clinic last week to check they had received it, they hadn't. Called the Dr's on Thursday who advised the gp would call me back. No call back. Called again Friday, advised gp would call back. No call back. Called this morning and the gp dealing with it is not in untill Wednesday so have to wait till Wednesday! Im so fucked off.

Annny27 · 14/12/2020 10:57

@robinrose its so frustrating when things don't get sent off! Unfortunately with fertility we have to take control of our health and chase up all the time!

@notyetamumbuttrying well I just did a test and bfn 🙄🙄 so I guess AF Is just f*ing me around just because

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/12/2020 11:00

@Annny27 I'm sorry hun 😣 and sorry for you too @RobinRose! It's so frustrating when the drs mess you around like that! No one else will look into it for you then?

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 14/12/2020 11:20

Oh @robinrose it's a good thing you decided to chase this up! So frustrating it's not been actioned yet. Let's hope this Wednesday they get a kick up the bum and get things started!

@notyetamumbuttrying sorry love, I missed your comment about the funeral today. I hope everything goes okay xx

Theawkwardblonde · 14/12/2020 15:52

Sorry ladies not been on in a while-how's everyone keeping?

@SS123456 massive congratulations! It's lovely to see a BFP in this thread!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/12/2020 16:10

Thanks @Tofu35, really lovely service. Just 15 ppl but was nice. X
@Theawkwardblonde fine thanks, how are you? X

Motherofkittens28 · 14/12/2020 16:52

Hey all, hope all OK and congrats @SS123456 on the bfp!
Just had my follow up appointment with the specialist and he said that our infertility is essentially unexplained and we either continue to try naturally, go for private ivf or he said he could do a Laparoscopy to see if my endometriosis is causing an issue they can't see in scans. I've said I want to go on the list for the surgery but it's likely to delay our ivf plans as he said he could probably do it in February and there needs to be no chance im pregnant at the time. I'm in two minds but if the endo is preventing implantation I want it treated as it will effect ivf too
