@kerrym87 you sound so similar to me. Fiancé has 4% morphology. We've been TTC for 18 months. Spent most of that mentally torturing myself that something was wrong with me but so far they haven't been able to find anything with me only my partners borderline low morphology. I did get him to cut down on booze, caffeine, fizzy drinks, etc and I make him take a bunch of supplements daily but I don't think men Appreciate the journey for women. He only thinks about it when I'm in my fertile week. For me my whole life is ruled around what CD I am. Temping every day, taking opks, taking a bundle of supplement, checking my CM and position. It's an everyday thing not just one week of the month. I'm the same though, get me a big fat glass of gin when AF arrives 🤣 we are waiting for our referral to the specialist so 🤞🏼 we have some luck then onward! ✨

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/11/2020 09:53

@Unicornsparklez mine has 2.3% morphology and they said the parameter was 3%. Everywhere else I look it says 4%, so weird! So my Dh thinks that his isn't too bad as he believes the 3% figure 😬 count and motility were also low though so he does see that he has a way to go yet! I hope it's improved since August, should be getting the repeat one this month if he makes the appointment next week. I will be on at him daily until he does 😂

Its worth saying ladies that my husband has 2% morphology and we conceived within 4 months the first time! Sadly ended in miscarriage and here we are 12 months later still ......but even with poorer quality sperm it can still happen naturally :D

Annny27 · 15/11/2020 12:44

Its quite funny how almost all of us here have male factor!

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/11/2020 13:52

@Annny27 that is comforting thank you! Remind did your hubby have a low count and motility as well? Mine only has 14% motility, needs to be above 32% I believe. His count was 5mil per ml, should be above15mil. Yeah it is nearly all of us isn't it! Probs why we're still here, men take so long to take action and chase up appointments etc.

OP posts:
Annny27 · 15/11/2020 14:11

@notyetamumbuttrying yep I think women always thinks its their fault so they are quick to make appointments haha!!

And he has slightly low sperm count (13 mil per ml when it should be 15) but his motility is fine - I think the combination of fast and slow movers was about 50% when it should be over 32%. So they move well but they have weird shaped heads and tails and there's a few less than there should be 🤣

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 15:13

Ladies can I use your line eyes?! This is an IC from this afternoon at 9dpo. I did a frer this morning (crazy early for testing I know!) which to me didn't even have a squinter but I'm doubting myself now! 🙈. Thanks!

@SS123456 can't see anything at all on the frer and the IC looks like an evap sorry :( could be wrong though!

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 15:21

Thanks @Annny27 that was my thought too! I think after so many months staring at these you start imagining lines in the end 😂

Annny27 · 15/11/2020 16:01

@SS123456 totally! And because I have been pregnant before I know exactly where the line should be so it makes it even harder because I imagine them more 🤣🤣🤣

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 16:09

I'm glad it's not just me @Annny27 😂. I miscarried last month but kept all my tests so I've had the box of those out today comparing them too. Ttc for this long has actually turned me crazy!

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/11/2020 17:16

@Annny27 at least motility is good then and the counts not too far off what it should be. My Dh's is shocking as seen!Just hope they've improved as would love for it to all happen naturally but who knows at mo.
@SS123456 I thought I could see something on frer but 9dpo is pretty early. Test again at 12dpo so that it's more conclusive. Something on the ic but I've never used them so don't know the difference between a true line and an evap. Hope somethings there in time!!

@Unicornsparklez I think he's holding out for this report test 2 weeks later and is being falsely positive i feel that 5 days of not drinking before repeating and slightly looser underwear will make a massive difference. I have said a few times things can affect sperm for 3 months and he does bring up stress (he was very stressed and anxious a few months ago for 6 months at least) but i wish he'd accept there's an issue regardless of what caused it and do what is within his power to do. Just waiting for AF Thursday as I can't see how there's much chance. Really hit a wall now although referral is being done to fertility 😥

RobinRose · 16/11/2020 09:50

Hope everyone is getting on ok this month, I have got a little lost where everyone is 🤦🏼‍♀️

@kerrym87 sorry the results weren't what you were hoping for, they could very well improve with the repeat sample! Have you got a date booked for it? Sorry if you have already mentioned but does your dp take any supplements?

Does anyone have a problem with a lack of ewcm? The past 2 cycles i have been drinking 100% pomegranate juice every day until after ovulation and I have had 5 days of ewcm around ovulationShock incase anyone is interested!

Theawkwardblonde · 16/11/2020 17:49

Bad news for me ladies. Blood tests show I haven't ovulated this month. So the doctors are now of the mindset that I'm not ovulating every cycle, only on the ones where I've had a chemical. So in 14 months that would be 4 (I think) times. Have to go for additional tests on Friday then they will decide where to go from there. Devastated. I knew there would be an issue with me and I was right.

Motherofkittens28 · 16/11/2020 17:51

Hey all, a little update from me on my call with the consultant today. A couple of my hormone results came back a little off, FSH is higher than they like and my thyroid also. They want to retest my thyroid before they do anything and I have to wait until 6 weeks after the last test for that. In other news AF has started 3 days early (I assume because of the hycosy) and now DP's SA is going to be the day before ovulation! I've asked him to try and move it but I'm not holding out much hope :(.
We also spoke to access fertility today about their unlimited cycle package which is two fresh cycles and unlimited frozen from those cycles. Its £11k plus drugs on top! Even more than I had expected so feeling a little shocked.

kerrym87 · 16/11/2020 21:28

@RobinRose, we've got some for him to start and doing repeat tomorrow. I have the opposite problem with ewcm which I'm sure is pcos but awaiting fertility clinic (referral just gone in). @Theawkwardblonde and @Motherofkittens28 what a shame, we sometimes know there's a problem but it's still a bummer when they find something! Fingers crossed for some solution for you x

Theawkwardblonde · 17/11/2020 11:06

The thing us, I've definitely had chemicals in the past. I've actually started taking seven seas conception about 6 weeks ago and wondering if this has delayed ovulation (read reviews that it can).
That's the only thing different, and this month (first time ever) my period has been significantly shifted which would support not ovulating this month. It's definitely different to my normal bleed. Could it be the seven seas messing my cycle?

SS123456 · 17/11/2020 11:15

@Theawkwardblonde I'm not sure about the seven seas ones specifically but I had cycles which have gone off track when I've changed the vitamins I've taken

RobinRose · 17/11/2020 11:33

@Theawkwardblonde hope you are ok? Hopefully your tests on Friday can explain things more and they can find a solution for you. Can't comment on seven seas but found my pre conception tabs made my cycles slightly shorter. Alternated them last month with just folic acid to see if my cycle lengthen and it did, by 2 days! Ovulation seemed to happy a little later but Can't say for sure.
Changed vitamins completely this month.

@Motherofkittens28 did they say how high your FSH is? Thyroid problems are usually straightforward to fix, if that is the issue. Wow that is expensive, I'd be shocked too!

@kerrym87 good luck with the repeat!

Ugh, realised we are onto cycle 15... don't think the disappointment is getting any easier. 😔

SS123456 · 17/11/2020 12:03

I feel your pain @RobinRose , I'm just about to go onto month 15 too 😔

Motherofkittens28 · 17/11/2020 12:34

@RobinRose, im not far behind, this is cycle 14 for us. My FSH was 10 and they said they like it to be 9 or less. Thyroid should be 2.5 or less and it was 3.65. Its just frustrating to have to wait for yet more tests, I don't have time, im too old!
SA could not be moved so we will have to set an alarm to DTD early morning on day 10 and then DTD on day 12 after he submits his sample. I ovulate on day 13 normally so hopefully we still stand a chance but ive read two days before ovulation is your best shot.
I've stocked up on the pomegranate juice to throw everything at it this cycle and I'm going to cut my soy consumption as apparently that can raise your estrogen, im a vegetarian so it forms quite a big part of my diet normally.

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/11/2020 13:00

@SS123456 @RobinRose @Motherofkittens28 month 14 for me and cycle 17, will by cycle 18 when I come on on Sunday. 24 day cycles so my rollercoaster isn't very long, gets very overwhelming. I barely get anytime to forget about it cos once my period ends I'm into FW straight away and it's just exhausting. I keep meaning to take a month off but I get the fear lol! Mother of kittens I would dtd cd13 rather than 12. If he's given his sample that morning, doing it the same day won't provide much results, the next day will give them time to regenerate a bit.

RobinRose · 17/11/2020 13:05

@SS123456

@Motherofkittens28 that's interesting, mine was 13.2 when I had tests done a few months ago, I thought it was high and asked for a repeat last month but the go said my levels are fine 🤨 now I'm not so sure! Your not too old!! At least everything is moving in the right direction for you. We have dtd 2 days before ovulation a few times and nothing 😑. I have heard about the soy, I think you have to eat a stupid amount of it to raise estrogen levels , but I could be wrong.

RobinRose · 17/11/2020 13:07

@SS123456 rubbish isn't it!
@notyetamumbuttrying 24 day cycles sound exhausting!
