@Motherofkittens28 glad it went well lovely! You are supposed to be more fertile the month after the procedure so fingers crossed!

11dpo for me, nothing of note symptoms wise its pretty normal to most months. I am a bit run down but nothing too unusual

Motherofkittens28 · 09/11/2020 11:09

Thanks @Annny27, frustratingly ive got mega ovulation symptoms this month, boobs are agony, but we had to abstain for the hycosy. Interestingly the dr told me he could see i had ovulated on my left, which is the side I felt it on this month, so clearly I'm not just imagining the ovulation pains! Good to know ovulation is happening.

Originalusername6432762 · 09/11/2020 14:31

@Motherofkittens28
Good to hear there's no problems for you :) fingers crossed you'll be extra fertile like people say

kerrym87 · 09/11/2020 21:33

@Motherofkittens28 how did it go?
So, quick question to anyone.....dropped OH's SA off 4pm on Wednesday....GP surgery has already rang him today to say GP will ring him Thursday to discuss results. Really hoping they're just really efficient and want to talk to him before doing fertility referral as I've already had appt at GP for this.....part of me thinks it's bad as it's come back so quick 🙁

Motherofkittens28 · 09/11/2020 21:41

@kerrym87 I wouldn't worry, both times my OH's came back really quick. They have to do all the analysis within a matter of hours of sample production so really they should be able to get it to you with a few days.

RobinRose · 09/11/2020 21:50

@Motherofkittens28 glad today went ok for you!

@kerrym87 wow that didn't take long for the gp to contact! I am sure it is nothing to worry about Smile

Tofu35 · 10/11/2020 08:36

Having my phonecall with the fertility clinic today, so hopefully I'll find out what the next steps are :)

Yellowbaby1 · 10/11/2020 08:37

Hi ladies
Apologies I haven't been on here for a few weeks
Cycle 14 ttc
I've started peeing on ovulation strips (abit late I know)
I'm testing twice a day
Not had a clear positive yet and I am cycle day 18
I have longer cycles (32-34 day) so it should be soon??

Questions
Do they sometimes not pick up the LH surge
What is the best time of day to test

Yellowbaby1 · 10/11/2020 08:37

Just read a few messages, love and hugs to you all going through various tests

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/11/2020 08:49

@Tofu35 good luck for today!
Hubby has his testes scan today...
@Yellowbaby1 hiya! Depends what brand you're using. If clearblue test in the mornings, if internet cheapies test in the evening after a few hour hold. The clearblue ones have instructions to read. Best of luck!
@kerrym87 that's so speedy that's great! We had to chase for our results as the bloody gp left and didn't hand his work over 🙄 good luck for thurs!
Lots of testing happening ladies, fingers crossed for us all!

Tofu35 · 10/11/2020 09:54

Wow I almost said 'good luck to his testes'. But you know what I mean @notyetamumbuttrying 🙈

Annny27 · 10/11/2020 09:55

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck for your DP!

@yellowbaby1 I test twice a day and make sure me urine is quite concentrated e.g. 9am and then about 3pm

Motherofkittens28 · 10/11/2020 11:40

@notyetamumbuttrying fingers crossed for good news on the scan!

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/11/2020 12:10

Haha 😂 @Tofu35 his testes thank you too😆 and yeah I getcha, cheers chick! What times your call?
@Annny27 thank you! How are you? 12dpo today then. Do you test or just wait now? I finally started just waiting after finding out about Dh poor sperm.
@Motherofkittens28 thank you! How you feeling after the hycosy? Do they have to do it at certain times of the month?! When do you get results?

OP posts:
RobinRose · 10/11/2020 12:12

@notyetamumbuttrying hope the scan goes well and brings positive news! Do you no when you will get the results?

Tofu35 · 10/11/2020 12:30

@notyetamumbuttrying had a grumble in the other thread I'm on about the call- person was lovely, checked regularity of periods, and brief medical history. For some reason, I thought the call would focus on me so didn't ask husband for his SA results (1 private, 1 NHS). So quick SOS text to him (unanswered because he was in a meeting) and I find out the NHS test used an out of date tub so they couldn't analyse the sample.

They're calling back on Thursday when I get the numbers from his private test so they have the full picture.

At least it isn't a long wait, but still frustrating!

Originalusername6432762 · 10/11/2020 13:27

@Tofu35
Was that an nhs consult with specialist or something else?

Tofu35 · 10/11/2020 13:34

NHS consult with specialist. So if I needed IVF, that's where it would happen. I think on Thurs it'll be talking about scans and other things to do before we start down the IVF route @originalusername6432762

Annny27 · 10/11/2020 13:36

@notyetamumbuttrying I did one today just to confirm to me really and it was bfn as I expected! Really gutted but used to it haha!

I have seen that my area only does q round of nhs ivf so I am going to start putting aside some of our savings for ivf now just incase! Best to be prepared

Annny27 · 10/11/2020 13:36

Only does 1 round*

Originalusername6432762 · 10/11/2020 13:38

@Tofu35
Ah ok, it sounded like they didn't really do much but if you've got more on Thursday that's good.

Originalusername6432762 · 10/11/2020 13:39

@Tofu35
Sorry if you already said but how long did you have to wait to get the referral?

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/11/2020 13:49

@RobinRose thank you. I hope he can tell him there and then if he sees any blockages or whatever. If not then I guess a week or so. I'll ask him when he gets in later.
@Tofu35 omg how enraging! Mine nearly got caught up in that but luckily the receptionist said look these aren't the right tubs but that's all we've got, ring the hospital. The hospital said it's fine, just come in and produce it here instead..saved the mad dash across London then! I'm glad there's a relative quick solution for you.
@Annny27 our cancelled Barbados trip from March is paying for our first round! I'm not sure I have the patience to wait on the nhs 😬 esp if they say we need to be trying for longer! It's 2 years in our area and we're 14 months now. Although surely with male factor, timing shouldn't matter?! Still waiting on our referral so that we can discuss all this, just taking so bloody long!

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 10/11/2020 13:53

@Originalusername6432762 when I hit the year mark I spoke to my GP. I'm in my mid-30s so don't know if age+TTC period were taken into account.

Referral took about 2-3 months. Around that time I had blood tests and smear test too. So it didn't feel like a "wait" as I was busy doing 'fertility admin', if that makes sense

Annny27 · 10/11/2020 13:59

@notyetamumbuttrying Good planning! Yep 2 years for us will be in June/may 2021 and I cba to wait basically another 7 months!

Yeah totally it shouldn't matter for male factor unless his 2nd analysis improves ofcourse! I am gonna try and forget about ttc for the time being but its soo hard when it takes up so much of my mind
