Now on cd5 but think I'm done, I'm not going to open a new box of opks (have an unopened box of cbd advanced sticks in the cupboard) and am getting fed up of temping for it to go nowhere

I've cried myself to sleep the last few nights as I think I'm grieving for the child we can't have. And in fact typing that has just set me off again 😢.

Good luck to all of you but think I'll only pop back in to update you after our fertility app on the 11th November as its too hard to be on here now

Yellowbaby1 · 22/10/2020 12:26

I have a faint line on a first response. I cant seem to get a good picture. It's my 4th wee of the day. I've just contacted my gp to see if they will send me for a blood test
Its there a faint line I'm certain

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm not sure remember me telling you it's been 12 months of trying and I was going to start ovulation strips. Last cycle was only 28 days and from cervical mucus and mood i thought I ovulated early. I'm cycle day 35 today. I've felt different this month. Tingly boobs for weeks. I've tested throughout the month as I was certain I was pregnant
And had 4 negatives. Today midday have a faint line.

Yellowbaby1 · 22/10/2020 12:53

Just shown my partner he can see the faint line too. Hes happy but also were both trying to not get excited. And test again in the morning tomorrow too. Waiting for call back off my gp

Theawkwardblonde · 22/10/2020 13:00

@notyetamumbuttrying jumping on your thread too so hello again!
Some good advice on here. Definitely food for thought going into cycle 14

Tofu35 · 22/10/2020 13:19

Take care of yourself @claireb7rg, sometimes taking a bit of time away from the chatter helps. Good luck for your appointment xx

In my opinion, and it's only an opinion, it's good you were honest about your cycle days as it means your scan will be the most accurate it can be. Better to wait a month to get a good reading, than rush through and have inaccurate results (that may lead to another wait for more scans!), sending love your way @Motherofkittens28 xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 13:20

@Yellowbaby1 I do remember yeah. Well I'll keep everything crossed for you hun!

@Theawkwardblonde hey 👋🏾 you're very welcome! Hope you get some good tips here as well.

On the CB flashing smiley part of my FW now, although my body not playing ball today- no EWCM and low sex drive. Ended up in a debate with other half about his attitude that 'nothing is better than pre-seed lube'. Which may be the case, but if you're wanting this to happen today, "nothing" will lead to...nothing happening between the sheets 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 18:49

@Tofu35 oh jeez, hope you managed to dtd in the end? There's always tomorrow if not!

Tofu35 · 22/10/2020 22:15

Haha thanks @notyetamumbuttrying, can tick 'very functional sex' off the list for today, let's see what tomorrow brings!

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 22:25

@Tofu35 haha I can also tick that off after 13 months of ttc 😂 can be so shit can't it! Confused

@Motherofkittens28 sorry to hear lovely... is it an option for you to book a last minute private hycosy instead of waiting on nhs? Xx

Yellowbaby1 · 23/10/2020 07:36

Not even a whisper of a second line on todays test using fmu. 5.30am. I'm still holding onto some hope as AF not arrived. GP wouldnt send me for bloods to confirm pregnancy.

Motherofkittens28 · 23/10/2020 09:23

@Anitaatje33 i did look into that yesterday but its about £500 to have a private one and that just seems like too much to spend when we are expecting to start funding ivf in January. I'm going to phone them a few times a week to see if they get any cancellations that could move it forwards. If I could have it on the 2nd that would be my day 12 so still a chance for the cycle.

Narwhal88 · 23/10/2020 19:53

@Motherofkittens28 I had to do that last month as the only day they could book my HSG was CD12 which was ovulation day. Tbh it was quite nice having a month off! I had to wait months for mine as they stopped them due to covid. I looked into private as well but like you said it's expensive so I just waited.

Congratulations @Anitaatje33 ! Unfortunately I've just had my cycle after my HSG and it wasn't lucky for me :(

Yellowbaby1 · 24/10/2020 09:05

AF arrived day 37. My faint line on thursday must have been evap line. @notyetamumbuttrying

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/10/2020 11:00

Sorry to hear @Yellowbaby1! Do you think you'll start investigations now? It was the best thing I did. Even though we have an issue, I feel so much better mentally now I know what's up.

Just found out my brother and his wife are expecting again. Finding it really difficult to feel happy for them even a little bit 😢
I’m going to chase up my doctor again about my referral but I’m starting to think about going private. Is it possible to get a private initial consult but still on nhs list?? I’ve got the possibility of borrowing some money from family, but obviously I’d want to keep the cost down as much as possible.

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/10/2020 15:31

Sorry to hear how you're feeling @Originalusername6432762 totally understandable tho! Yes I think a private consultation is allowed whilst on the waitlist. I believe it's just actual treatment that takes you off the list.

Yellowbaby1 · 24/10/2020 16:55

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for replying. I'm going to give it a go with the opk strips and temperature charting for the next 6 months and see how I go. Is there an app you recommend for this?

@Originalusername6432762 it's totally understandable to feel that way.

Originalusername6432762 · 24/10/2020 17:22

@notyetamumbuttrying @Yellowbaby1
Thanks, I feel a bit better after the initial feeling. This will be his third though. I only want one! 😂. Ah well that’s life I guess.
Managed to distract myself this afternoon, just frustrating as we don’t know if there is a problem with me or not. It might still happen naturally but I just want to feel like I have a back up plan!

Originalusername6432762 · 24/10/2020 17:24

@Yellowbaby1
Oh just seen your other post, sorry to hear that :(

Jilly1988 · 24/10/2020 18:08

Hey everyone. Haven’t been for a while so just catching up. Massive congrats @Anitaatje33 that’s such exciting news.

@Originalusername6432762 private seems to be completely separate. I decided to go for a private consultation last month and it hasn’t effected anything. My private consultant actually put the referral through for NHS IVF as he said it was coming up to 2 years so we have just received the forms today. So at least it’s something.

Tofu35 · 26/10/2020 09:11

Small grumble from me today-
Mother in law told us my husband's 19yr old cousin is pregnant ("a surprise to everyone, the family aren't telling anyone yet").

This might be one of those occasions that the "restricted family numbers at Christmas" might be a good thing- don't really fancy hearing about this cousin's pregnancy, or hearing his family make "oh we thought you'd be next" jokes.

I think I maybe woke up grumpy today. Maybe another cup of tea will help.
