@Originalusername6432762 I’d imagine that will just be progesterone related. I always get that in 2ww 😂

Every cycle I’ve had had been fairly normal until this one. Maybe I’ve just been more stressed this month 😢

Originalusername6432762 · 27/10/2020 11:03

@LT103
My period was 4 days late last month for no reason, but now I think maybe it was late ovulation instead. I think too much thinking about it doesn’t help!
My tummy usually goes haywire when my period starts, probably just making something out of nothing though! Maybe just the pizza at the weekend with the jalapeños on it 😂

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 18:46

@ReiRiko fingers crossed!

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 18:47

@ame88 @ReiRiko I'm 10dpo and have all the symptoms of af so feeling disheartened. Fingers crossed for you both xx

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 18:48

@Mia1985x @Originalusername6432762 @LT103 sorry to jump in your conversation but I see you were all talking hycosy and scans. What scan were you on about?

Mia1985x · 27/10/2020 19:04

@dobzyj no worries at all. It's a Hycosy scan we were discussing. I have mine in a couple of weeks. Some private places only offer HSG but they are pretty much the same thing, HSG just uses xray instead of ultrasound so hycosy can check for a few other things. They both are to check fallopian tubes for any damage or blockages but alot of evidence that they improve your fertility greatly for 3 months after having and loads of success stories on here of people getting one and falling pregnant straight after. Hope that helps.

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 19:08

@Mia1985x thank you SmileI only asked because I had a hycosy last October and it wasn't just a scan....... I actually had my tubes flushed out. Are you having that done?

Mia1985x · 27/10/2020 19:12

@dobzyj ah I see. Yes I'm having that done. How did you find it? I've read some people say its agony and others say just like a smear. Was that over a year ago you had it then and are you still TTC? Have you had any further treatment since?

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 19:20

@Mia1985x I'll be really honest. I was pleasantly surprised because I worked myself up something silly. Partner came in worh me. You sit in a chair leaning back and they inswet the same tool as the smear. Puts the balloon thing in which you can't really feel then takes the clamp thing out while she does the rest so it's actually quite comfortable. She puts the stuff in which takes seconds, just feels a little crampy but nothing major at all. Then she looks at the scan. She showed me one side the stuff flew up the tube. The second was a bit slower so that flushed it out. Then she could see that yes I had actually ovulated. So I left feeling really positive. I defo think you're doing the right thing. It's a year exactly this month and yes stil TTC but she told me to give up the sticks and thermometer and let nature take its course and gave me 6 to 12 months that I should conceive naturally as there are no issues ( had his sperm tested too).

I still haven't conceived but you know I actually think it stressed me more not doing the sticks etx cause then I wasn't sure my ovulation day enough so I think that had an effect. Now I know exactly within 2 days so I just start to use opk 4 days before and use the clearblue. I'm hoping now that because I have pin pointed it and I can relax a bit more then hopefully it will happen but at 40 who knows i I actually ovulate every month...... good luck with yours you'll be fine and I felt really positive after so hopefully you will! It fixes you a boost. Just get DTD straight after haha

Originalusername6432762 · 27/10/2020 19:23

@dobzyj
I was under the impression that they put [something] in to help them visualise on the scan and assess if there are any blockages etc, but I’ve not had it done yet.

Originalusername6432762 · 27/10/2020 19:25

@dobzyj
Oh missed your last message, never mind!
Thanks for the info :)

Mia1985x · 27/10/2020 19:32

@dobzyj thanks so much for all that information, very helpful. I hope I have a similar experience to you. My consultant is referring us for ivf at the start of next year and hycosy is last check I need to have done. Have you discussed/considered ivf? I am also the same as you and actually feel more stressed if I don't temp and opk as I like to know when I'm ovulating. It won't stop me thinking about it all just by not doing them but actually just made me question more the months I tried to 'relax' and not do them.

@Originalusername6432762 yes they put dye in and thats what they see flow through. If flows freely then no blockages and they can also check for any damage. The flowing through of the dye can flush out any debris (as my consultant put it) even if there aren't actual blockages. And I think it's this flushing out that they think can improve your fertility.

Originalusername6432762 · 27/10/2020 19:42

@dobzyj @Mia1985x
Yes you can see how that would work for the fertility. If I do go private I’m going to ask for that ASAP

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 19:47

@Mia1985x exactly! My friend had ivf at 43 and was successful..... in Barcelona! The clinic looks incredible!

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 19:47

@Mia1985x I can't have ivf on nhs because I'm too old so it's just the expense.....

dobzyj · 27/10/2020 19:48

@Originalusername6432762 yes defo. I had all the normal Bloods etx for progesterone levels and so they referred me for that due to my age. I actually felt very positive so if you can have it done I highly recommend it. I was on and out in 15 mins!

ReiRiko · 28/10/2020 06:06

Used an FRER and a clear blue digital this morning and definitely not pregnant according to these. My nips are still sore and forgot to mention that on clomid my cycles are longer than usual. It might be a case of waiting another week before I test again. They will do my 21 day progesterone again tomorrow as they thing they haven't caught the progesterone surge last time. I assume the level will be higher tomorrow because of the sore nips but we'll see in a few days !

LT103 · 28/10/2020 07:10

So I still feel like af is coming. Had cramps for last 3 days. No peak opk though ff has decided I’ve ovulated. I’m not convinced but will see what happens with temp. I normally stay at peak for 24 hours so would be odd to have missed it altogether unless strips are faulty but they’ve always worked before.
I think I’ll just discount this month and wait on af 🤦🏻‍♀️

butterfly5291 · 28/10/2020 09:36

@LT103 it does look like it could be right with your temps although like you said strange for you not to see a peak. Whereas I've never seen a peak on OPK...I don't know if that's a cause for concern?
Have your opks dropped now?

LT103 · 28/10/2020 11:54

@butterfly5291 who knows haha. I’ll check again tonight and see. I didn’t bother doing one last night or this morning. I’m done with this month. I like when things go to plan 😂😂

LT103 · 28/10/2020 11:56

@butterfly5291 it would fit as I had spotting the day it says I ovulated which would fit I guess? I’ll wait and see what temps do the next couple of days. If they go back down then I have no idea what’s happening.

butterfly5291 · 28/10/2020 12:05

@LT103 yeah that would fit.
I'm on CD15 now and noticed some EWCM but absolutely nothing on an OPK at all. That seems strange don't you think?

OP posts:
LT103 · 28/10/2020 12:15

@butterfly5291 yeah. I usually get a few days of ewcm before ovulation but it’s a good sign it’s maybe coming in next couple of days!! 🤞🤞

Stabal · 28/10/2020 12:49

Hi all! Just awaiting tomorrow's temps to see if I ovulated on Monday. Anyway, wanted to pop on and say I got a letter through for my HSG on my next cycle, hoorah! I don't have to wait until the year mark from falling pregnant next March! This has made me ridiculously happy, who'd have thought. @Mia1985x, we will be test buddies 😂

@LT103 I think your chart looks promising now and you're in the waiting game for tomorrow just like me 🤞

@butterfly5291 it's not uncommon to not catch your peak, some people's are really quick. Your temps on previous cycles have shown you're ovulating so try not to panic. If you have EWCM just keep DTD to cover yourself

LT103 · 28/10/2020 13:08

@stabal that’s great news!!!! So glad you don’t have to wait!! Hopefully it all goes ok.
I spoke to my partner last night so decided to wait and see what happens this cycle, then will call doctors for a phone consult and see what they say.

If only I could go back in time and start trying earlier!!
