@Iloveoreos hmm does seem like something odd is going on. Will be interesting to see what the levels come back as! I would definitely mention the long cycles too. The provera I'm going to take to kick start my cycle is something your GP could consider giving you too
How long have yours been missing?

Stabal · 02/10/2020 13:17

@Iloveoreos I'm only on CD32 but no sign of ovulation. I've been at this for so long I'm not willing to wait it out for a bleed and I've used provera before so I'm unfortunately a pro at restarting my cycle lol

Was ur gp ok to give it? I remember about 5 6 yrs back i missed my periods for about 5 months and my GP refused to give me anything! I had moved countries and started working after finishing uni so it was a big change which might have caused it but gp didnt give me anythinf back then and i was well annoyed

Iloveoreos · 02/10/2020 13:46

This is what my cycles been like over the past yr - looking at it again now doesnt seem very regular does it :/

Stabal · 02/10/2020 23:26

@Iloveoreos yeah they were but I was originally prescribed it from gynae years and years ago because I had been bleeding constantly for 6 months. It's used to treat endometriosis and I have it and PCOS. I've used it off and on for years to stop continuous bleeding and to bring on a bleed when I haven't bled for months. But it's definitely worth saying to your GP that you've researched and you think it would be helpful. I've been irregular my whole life up until about 14 months ago. Your cycles don't look particularly regular, have you ever been tested for PCOS?

Iloveoreos · 02/10/2020 23:42

@stabal
2 3 yrs ago i was sent for ultrasound after a long missing cycle and they said i might be "borderline" pcos or or it could be due to hypothyroidism...they werent sure themselves as i didnt have any other symptoms other than these dates and my fertility blood tests were all ok. So not sure :( im going to wait a week or so if no AF will call GP again

Stabal · 02/10/2020 23:45

@Iloveoreos hmmm seems like a fob off. Was it a transvaginal scan?

Iloveoreos · 02/10/2020 23:49

@stabal i had the normal one ( on the tummy/pelvis area) not the internal one

Iloveoreos · 02/10/2020 23:53

@stabal
Also after this ultrasound i went to visit my parents in my home country (im not orginaly from uk) and went to see a private gynae consultant since its a lot faster . Showed her what gps here said and she , she did an utrasound too and said its all ok and nothing to worry and said to take vitamins etc 😂 now i think were both fobbing me off

Stabal · 02/10/2020 23:53

@Iloveoreos the transvaginal is used to diagnose PCOS. They should only do the ultrasound if you've never been sexually active. I would for sure be back at the doctor and say you want some proper answers because you're TTC and don't give in until they do something 🤞

Stabal · 02/10/2020 23:55

@Iloveoreos gah! I'm so sorry, I've totally been in the position of someone not listening or taking you seriously when you know there's something off

Iloveoreos · 02/10/2020 23:56

@stabal yea will do thanks hun. Ill try calling surgery this week .

Im scared at the thought of the transvaginal utrasound. Sounds too painful

Stabal · 02/10/2020 23:59

@Iloveoreos it's really not painful at all and I think some women really put the fear into others over it for no real reason. It's less uncomfortable than a smear. It's more like a slight pressure but never been painful for me and I've had too many to even count 🤦‍♀️ 7 alone from the first pregnancy scan I had in April!

Iloveoreos · 03/10/2020 00:02

@stabal that gives me hope and helps to dial down my fear a notch. Thanks dear xx.

Stabal · 03/10/2020 00:04

@Iloveoreos you're welcome. They make sure the "probe" is lubed up to reduce any discomfort from anxiety so I promise it's not as bad as you imagine! Keep us updated xx

GNKx · 03/10/2020 10:23

Hi everyone sorry it’s been a while AF showed up yesterday after nearly a 50 day cycle. 🥴
How are you all getting on? Are some of you in your TWW now?

LT103 · 03/10/2020 11:19

Hi everyone. How are we getting on??

@stabal @butterfly5291 did you get your peak opk??

Sorry I’ve been mia last week or so, kind of just not feeling it this month. 8dpo and not googled one 2ww symptom. I don’t think we have too much chance this month with our timing so kinda just not really thinking about it all and will start afresh next month

Stabal · 03/10/2020 11:30

@LT103 I didn't but @butterfly5291 did ovulate eventually. I gave up lol. Will take provera to restart everything. A little break does our minds good, ready for the new cycle 🤞 for you

LT103 · 03/10/2020 11:42

Ah that’s rubbish @stabal your lines were def trying to get there too. Hopefully the provera gets everything back on track!

I kind of just forgot all about ttc for the last week which hasn’t been the worst thing. I think I’ve been focusing on it more than I wanted to be doing so I do need to find a balance. Still haven’t even attempted to have the conversation about timing with my oh 🙈. Think I’ll just wait til I’m telling him af is here then have a chat then. I’ve just not been feeling it, work been busy etc etc

LT103 · 03/10/2020 11:44

Still been temping. Pre ovulation temps all over the place, missed loads and was having lie ins when I was off work haha. Seems back on track now at last.

Stabal · 03/10/2020 11:50

@LT103 temps definitely look okay now! I've continued temping too. I maybe ovulated 2 days ago, I guess we'll see in the next few days. I need to restock my tablets too and I'm like, "what's the point" lol that's the kind of stage I'm at with it all!

Conception: TTC Baby no1. The crazy lot. Thread 3!!!
LT103 · 03/10/2020 12:08

Oh yeah. Be interesting to see if your temps stay up 🤞🤞🤞

butterfly5291 · 03/10/2020 14:15

@LT103 your chart looks good... what if you adjusted the temp from yesterday? Would it still go down and back up today?

@Stabal woohoo! At last....fingers crossed this is it.

My temps aren't particularly high.

@butterfly5291 I don’t think so. I took it a little later than usual so I think if I corrected it, it would make it lower? I often have a 1 or 2 day dip in my charts around this time. Maybe just progesterone or something?

Stabal · 03/10/2020 16:25

@LT103 the dip at that stage is an estrogen dip, totally normal

@butterfly5291 as long as they're higher it doesn't actually matter how high 🤞
