22-28 for me, cycle 6, ttc #1. Starting to worry as I’m 38 but if no joy after this month we will start looking at health checks etc. It is definitely far harder to conceive than we were led to believe, I can’t believe I worried so much about accidental pregnancy when I was younger!

RBCoxie · 18/09/2020 10:47

@MummyToPrince me too! I wish it was as simple as knowing for sure either way instantly 😂 omg at least there was no doubt!! You must have DTD at exactly the right time! I'm going to try to hold out on testing until my AF is due to avoid trying to interpret a line/no line, but I can see me caving early!

Ouuuuch - I cant even imagine a Chinese burn on my nipples!! I hope that eases soon!

HollowayL30 · 18/09/2020 12:37

Hey girls, so I'm coming to the end of my fertile window, it's said my peak was the 15th and we pretty much done it every other day till that day then everyday since not intentionally 🤣
How are we all feeling? I'm trying not to think about it this month and hoping it will just be a massive surprise hahaha! We even decided to change are approach to just missionary (sorry tmi) see if this changes anything. x

HollowayL30 · 18/09/2020 12:37

@MummyToPrince Oh god that's sounds horrible but so positive! My boobs yesterday felt tender but are fine today! X

HollowayL30 · 18/09/2020 12:41

@Mistymonday Haha me and my partner yesterday were saying when your in school they drill it into you that the minute you have intercourses without anything you will be pregnant 😂 I know for some this is the case but it's fare more complicated than that! This is the first time we have actually tried for a baby, my first two were with my previous partner and unplanned, our son came along whilst on the contraceptive patch to our surprise and now we planning a fourth. We're giving ourself till October than going to stop as we have two weddings in Australia next year, once being my brothers that I can't miss. We have only been trying since June when I had my coil out, fell in July and sadly a chemical so not that long. X

RBCoxie · 18/09/2020 16:49

Okay so I totally caved and bought OPKs - I did one yesterday and it was a faint line - did one just now and this is the result.

Never used OPKs before but this looks quite strong to me - other people's opinions welcome
on whether this is peak or not!

For context, my last AF started on 4 Sept and my last cycle was 30 days long - before that I was on the pill so doesn't really count.

Would love to get your thoughts!! x

Pr24 · 18/09/2020 17:43

@RBCoxie I've only ever used the digital smiley face ones but I would say that's peak!! Looks very strong and I always ovulate 2weeks after af

MrsKey2020 · 18/09/2020 18:42

@RBCoxie I would say this looks like a peak result! If you download femometer app it scans the opk and tells you for you! That helps me! I'd say you'll be ovulating within 24-48 hours x

RBCoxie · 18/09/2020 20:07

@Pr24 @MrsKey2020 thank you so much ladies! Really appreciate it 😊 definitely going to download the app too, thanks for the recommendation! Looks like it's time to DTD! x

jules5232 · 19/09/2020 03:26

Hope I can join late! I'm pretty sure I am 1DPO (this is the first month I gave up doing ovulation tests cause I just feel over it) and starting the TWW. I dont know why but I feel both extremely optimistic and negative about this month. We're TTC #1 and 6 months trying.

jules5232 · 19/09/2020 03:30

Oh and @RBCoxie I'd def call that a positive, at least that was my surges always look like!

RBCoxie · 19/09/2020 08:47

@jules5232 thanks so much! I've taken it as a positive result - I'll do another one this afternoon to see if it's dropped off. Very new to OPKs so not too sure what I'm doing yet! 😂 Sending you so much baby dust for this month - I'm only month 1 of TTC but already I can see how it can completely mess with your emotions! Really hope September is your lucky month!! x

MummyToPrince · 19/09/2020 08:54

@Jules5232 Your not out until AF shows got everything crossed for you

@RBCoxie get DTD chick :-) you've inspired me to do one some I'm going to nip into town and pick some up, even though Im almost sure I've ovulate I'm just curious

RBCoxie · 19/09/2020 09:37

@MummyToPrince that's the plan! Think my OH is quite enjoying this whole TTC - especially this week 😂 haha I don't blame you - the OPK made me feel so much better yesterday as I really did think I'd ovulated much earlier and missed the window. I got the boots own brand one - let me know how you get on! x

lepnee · 19/09/2020 09:43

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind if I join? I'm 1DPO Smile

jules5232 · 19/09/2020 14:07

Thanks ladies. Some months are definitely easier than others. Welcome @lepnee looks like we're testing date buddies! Smile

MummyToPrince · 19/09/2020 14:42

@RBCoxie hahaha! My OH enjoys the TTC part too hahaha! I'm glad your not out and you still have time :-).. If mine is negative then I'm going to assume that I ovulate when I thought, but it puts your mind at rest I think.. I shall attach a picture when I do the test :-)

@lepnee of course you can lovely good luck and update us :-)

MummyToPrince · 19/09/2020 15:13

As I'm on CD 16 this is negative so I'm going to assume I've ovulated

Supermathsdoc · 19/09/2020 15:32

@jules5232 I’m also 1DPO today and I know exactly what you mean about feeling simultaneously pessimistic and optimistic. Literally one hour I can feel like it will definitely be this month and the next Ill think I could have a G&T because it’s definitely not happened this month.

I want to try and focus on distraction so I’m not wishing my life away during the wait...

RBCoxie · 19/09/2020 15:38

@MummyToPrince yeah it definitely looks like you have already - that's great though as you're already a few days into your TWW! Have everything crossed for you!

MummyToPrince · 20/09/2020 09:30

How is everyone feeling today?

I'm very crampy with sore nips!

OP posts:
HollowayL30 · 20/09/2020 10:41

@MummyToPrince I'm cramping today too think I'm like 5dpo. I did have a curry last night so not sure if it's that tho 😂

MummyToPrince · 20/09/2020 11:03

@HollowayL30 I had curry last night too 😂 but my cramps feel like AF is about to arrive

OP posts:
MummyToPrince · 20/09/2020 11:05

@HollowayL30 I think I'm 4dpo

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 20/09/2020 11:39

I'm only 1DPO so not feeling anything really - apart from enjoying not having ovulation pain that I had yesterday. Does anyone else get it quite bad? My pain threshold is usually quite good but the pains are like cramps but sharper!
