@Missgoldilocks I bet you feel better for chatting it through! No idea what to say apart from we need to do it more outside of the FW or he has to wank. Sometimes we don't do it the whole tww and he doesn't wank so no wonder I'm getting backwards swimmers come FW 😂 I have said this before so it's now FW so I guess I'll say it again next week. We've done it once so far and I wanted to try every other day instead of everyday. But I just don't want to initiate...I've screwed myself there tho as he's definitely gotten lazy over the years and knows he doesn't have to cos I always do! I do find myself seething at him these days tho, it's bad innit! I think i blame him now and I know it's a sperm issue 😬 he is trying to fix it tho, so I need to cut him some slack, think I'm still coming to terms with it all..

@Missgoldilocks @notyetamumbuttrying ah we only DTD like once or twice in the other 3 weeks of the cycle outside of FW as well. This has been a problem for us a good year before TTC though. I say problem but OH is perfectly happy with it and I'm the one feeling neglected and unloved lol. So actually, forced DTD during FW has been a blessing for me as it's the only time OH puts out regularly and without tooo much grumbling!

Ladies, another hand hold!! Getting out of school, ds fall, properly, broken trousers, big hole, not just a scratch, blood down the leg up to the shoe, by the time I reach the office for first aid, blood drop surprisingly bright against black shoe, call dh for transport home, walking wasn’t happening, screams at home to clean it, but now calmed in the sofa with the iPad, sensory overload of seeing blood plus the superintensified pain, he even accepted calpol, reserved for near death situations...
On the af front, I thought it was coming this morning but nothing arrived.

@Juno231 yeah it was an issue for me before ttc too. It was once every two weeks sometimes! At least I get it more in FW but it's still me initiating and I just get fed up with it all now!
@Franklydear ahh what an ordeal! Glad he's ok. Are you gonna test at some point today then or wait until tomorrow?

@notyetamumbuttrying he is ok, is just the autism makes everything so much more intense... to be fair he is getting better at an appropriate response, he had much bigger dramas for a lot less,...
I’ll be testing on Sunday, crazy I know, but dh wants me to test when he is here and not just in the 2 minutes before he goes to work, I might test an evening if I could hold my wee for 4 hours...

@notyetamumbuttrying aaah same! at its worst it was once every two weeks as well and always initiated by me. Now with FW I literally have to tip toe around it to not put him off - eg no more than every other day and negotiate like "okay if you can do it today then I promise you won't have to until Wed" etc. There's no option to not tell him it's FW either, otherwise he just wouldn't be up for it more than once that week!

@Juno231 I do the same bargaining! "You can have with me this evening or in the morning, your choice'. So romantic haha

@Juno231 so similar to us apart from I could get him to do it 4 days in a row in fw but we'd always miss day after ov. Now that I wanna go bk to every other day I'm scared he'll just forget or something lol! So we should do it tonight but he's gone into the office today, already told me he didn't sleep well last night so I already know he'll need coaxing round. I just don't have the energy myself. I might just wait until peak and do it then and be done with for fw. That will be a grand total of twice then 😂 feels pointless until he sperm gets better anyway. I've already resigned myself to that and on the infertility threads now 😣

I think it is tricky if you already have mismatched sex drives isn't it. There can be so much pressure on both sides from reading here. Talking is the only thing that we can really do. I am lucky in the sense that DP and I have an equal appetite. However, he worked away so much the last 2 years of TTC we have missed so many FW. End of May/early June we conceived, and so it was the month I got my one and only BFP we had sex 17 times according to my sex tracker, when Glow tells me people my age get pregnant from an average of 5 times a month. However, it didn't 'work' in the sense that obviously something was wrong with the genetic makeup of our baby and who knows if that was because the sperm quality was so low from too much sex?!

@SarahTTC2020 haha yes! spot on! Plus I tend to have to do most of the work as well as he gets lazy - "okay but as long as I don't have to do anything" is a common line in this household lol. Is that the 28th of Sep or Oct?

@Franklydear your poor DS! That sounds like a nasty fall, can't believe it literally had blood reaching his shoes.

@Flittingaboutagain wow that stat from glow is pretty interesting! What age are you if I might ask? And yeah tbf I think my main discontent is that our BD drives were matched up until 2 years ago, i.e. 9 years in to our relationship lol.

Don't mind at all - I am about to turn 36. I don't know if that means that if we were both younger, we could get away with having sex less from being generally more fertile and my partner having better sperm too?

@Juno231 yes he did, only a line like a thin river, unfortunately for him I am an army brat, special forces, so anything short of loosing a limb is a brush it off in my house...

@notyetamumbuttrying @Juno231 God I'm exactly the same! By the day after ovulation he's like, really again??? Omg I've bought outfits and everything trying to liven it up and he does absolutely zilch, pretty sick of it! I know I'll probably get agitated during the fw now trying "not" to have sex lol. I had the same problem before Ttc also but this has really exasperated it! Like we would do it once a week and it would have to be a weekend? Mate sometimes I want to fuck on a Tuesday 😂😂🥺 I feel so unattractive men just don't get it!! The thing that's really annoying is that just before Ttc our sex life had become really intense but of all of this has blown that out of the water.

@notyetamumbuttrying I understand why you'd feel like that especially when he isn't being enthusiastic enough I totally get you, but try to think positive that his sperm can get better and it only takes 3 months! Chin up lovely. I keep having a go at mine because he's not taking his supplements that could give him a higher sperm count just because his came back okay. I mean if you can get above 100 million sperm why bloody not eh
Imagine if he had no sperm? That would be bloody awful (not taking away from how you're feeling though) but there's still hope xx

So I told OH when he got home and he was so happy it was super cute, although when I showed him the tests (yes I done another this afternoon, plz don't judge me 😂) he looked confused as he couldn't see the second line clearly. I forget that people who don't trawl through MN forums see anything other than two blazing lines as a negative. I think he's cautiously excited 😂 although so am I! X

@KateColx I don't know it all seems to have gone down hill since that first month after my CP and thag turned into a 72 day er so we kind of lost interest after about 40 days! I mean I am complaining it's not terrible but sometimes I do get upseg as I often want it more than him ! X

@lucyrp ah bless you, understandable how all of what you've gone through can have an effect on everything. I know exactly what you mean though, I feel like I could have it more than OH these days however it was different on holiday. I felt like TTC just makes me overthink everything though 😂 x

@KateColx that's what I like to hear! Can't wait to get in that sun!! I've actually stopped with all the grapefruit/pomegranate juice, seed cycling and everything, only thing I'm doing is the occasional opk and folic acid that's it, but obv won't be doing opks this month, might do one the day before I'm expecting to ov when I'm home from my holiday but with being away I'm deffo not taking them away with me and doing them on hol! I really hope so, maybe I have your luck🤞🏼x

@Missgoldilocks I don't even try the day after, he'd probably laugh in my face if I did 😆 omg we were just weekend sex too 😂 I can't believe I ended marrying someone with a lower sex drive than me. I didn't notice it at first as we'd always do it when we saw each other, then when we lived together I knew it'd naturally be less but by the time we bought together it was down to weekends only, 🥱 ttc at least made it go bk up and I too get the sexy underwear out and sex toys, and he just brings his dick 😝 but yes, I know there's still a chance so I better buck up!

@SarahTTC2020 when you get your baby you will be a great mum negotiator...that's what we do with DS to get the outcome we want both options leads to what we want but it's his choice..."do you want to wee wee now or when we get there?!" Similar to "do you wanna put out now or in the morning?"

@notyetamumbuttrying your OH is trying and it could be that a small change makes him feel better too...maybe start complimenting him more so that he feels like it's worth it (I know you've said it's mainly you making the effort so that could be a bit galling but all men like an ego massage) and maybe he has lost weight & looking trimmer if he's drinking & smoking less??? Our IVF clinic said sperm quality can dramatically change in 3 months, they did my husbands sperm collection fir our embryos exactly 3 months after his brothers stag do we realised 🤣🙈😬if his could find their way somewhere after that your hubby's can recover! The infertility boards can be very helpful if a little more Sahara dry like - if I can't leave you can't either!!

@Flittingaboutagain I am 36 & my hubby is too, we prob have sex about 3/4 times a week but mainly that's the latter part of the week & that's when not TTC or like now TTC but with condoms 😂 he got told last time we did our embryos fir IVF when he was 35 that his Sperm was "average" & he was mortified, I was being told my eggs were basically non existent 🙄😳
