Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 3

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

Had another rise today- doesn’t look unlike the rise before AF so only the next 5 days will tell.
The only thing that has been different this month is sometime last week around ovulation I had the worst migraine ever. Ended up in bed by 10 which is very unusual for me. Maybe an hormone spike

Evening, how is everyone?

@2alreadywantanother So cruel 😔

@SarahTTC2020 Thank you! Sucks so much 😔 yeah my last cycles have been 26 or 27 days which is good. Wow, are all your cycles so long? Hmm that's really confusing then and to not really know exactly which stage your at. What's your CM like?

@mumof23188 Thank you, it sucks but I'm doing a bit better today thank you. I've managed to book my ultrasound for Tuesday so they can see if there's anything going on. Soo sorry that AF has arrived for you too, it was sooo promising for us both. How are you feeling?

@LS2020 Thank you, that's nice to spend some time with your friend. That's ridiculous at the doctors!!!! Sorry you had such a bad experience today. Will you ask to speak the gp?

@Juno231 Thanks, it's really rubbish. 😔But just trying to turn my attention elsewhere really. Hmmm that's strange, are you DTD anyway? As my opks go straight from low to peak most of the time.

@basilsenia welcome! Definitely normal to see a dip around 7DPO.

SarahTTC2020 · 20/08/2020 23:13

@Fran2020 my cycles are usually around 42 days but the last one was 33 so I was hoping they'd got shorter!
I've been really wet since I was due AF a few days ago, just clear or white but not like ewcm.
Hoping AF comes tomorrow or Saturday though to get it out of the way!

SarahTTC2020 · 20/08/2020 23:13

@ls2020 ah man that's really shit about your appt! Why is communication so bad 🥺🥺🥺

mumof23188 · 21/08/2020 10:01

Girls help me!! I just got these even tho I am bleeding? I don’t know what to do!!

Juno231 · 21/08/2020 10:10

@mumof23188 might be a CP? I'm only saying that as the FRER is very faint considering the DPO I am assuming you're at by now :(

@LS2020 I'm still fuming for you, I even had a rant about it to my OH last night...

@fran2020 yes I'm still trying to DTD every 2-3 days so we're somewhat covered. Woke up with a temp dip and a twingy ovary today (although I've had the latter on and off for the last 5 days already) so was hopeful but the OPK is still completely blank.

@mumof23188 oh god, what a nightmare you’re having with possible bfp’s and bleeding etc.

I think I’d agree with @Juno231 in that it seems like a chemical pregnancy. When I had my 3 chemicals I could still get a super faint positive the day after my bleeding finished.

For how my dpo you’d be and for how long you’ve been seeing faint positives you’d expect the free line to be darker by now as the hcg doubles every 2 days.

I hope it’s not and that it does turn into your real bfp though!

mumof23188 · 21/08/2020 11:50

@Juno231 😩 yes I expect so. It helps me as I know it wasn’t all In my head. Hoping you get your ovulation day soon 🤞. Hopefully before the weekend! You might have to have some quickies 🤪.

@Moominmiss thank you so much. I think it’s a chemical too 😩. Shall I test when the bleeding has stopped to make sure? With your CPs was your period heavier than usual? Hope you are doing well?

@Fran2020 how are you? Hope you are doing ok? Brilliant news you have your ultrasound so soon. I’m pleased for you. Hopefully all will be well with it.

@LS2020 that is absolutely appalling on their behalf. How could she not even know!! Ridiculous!! So frustrating for you. I hope you get to the bottom of it.

Moominmiss · 21/08/2020 12:50

@mumof23188 with my chemicals the bleeding started around the time when my af would be due, or a few days later.
It wasn’t any heavier or more painful than my regular periods (in my experience), but I know some women say they did find it heavier etc.

If I were you I’d take a test once the bleeding has fully stopped, if it’s still positive then I’d retest in 48 hours, and if that’s still positive then I’d contact your gp or the EPU as your body might be retaining products, or it could be that the pregnancy has stuck. But if the lines continue to stay faint I’d want checking out as very slow building hcg can be a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy.

I really hope it all works out ok for you though, I know how heartbreaking it is to keep getting your hopes up and be wondering what’s happening. I will keep everything crossed for you.

I’m ok thank you, currently cd11 and no sign of ovulation yet so just making sure we’re dtd regularly to cover all bases. Then it’ll be the dreaded tww.
Having had my day2 and day 21 test results has eased my mind in knowing things look good from that perspective, but it sort of confirms to me that my issues are likely down to poor quality eggs and my age.

But I’m managing to stay positive! Just impatient as ever 😊

mumof23188 · 21/08/2020 14:18

@Moominmiss thank you so much for your reply and advice. Really appreciate it. Will test when the bleeding has stopped. Mine has not been like my usual periods. They are usually super painful and heavy but I just have very mild cramps and red blood. Am I ok wearing a tampax do you know? Just wish the symptoms would go. Main ones are nausea and headache and hot flushes!
When is your usual ovulation date? Hopefully soon! That’s brilliant that you had good news about your blood tests. Ah I do hope that’s not the case. It’s tough isn’t it not knowing what’s going on inside! Wishing you all the luck in the world!

Mrsi2020 · 21/08/2020 15:09

@mumof23188 :( god love you. I guess CP too, it’s a catch 22 should You be sorry it didn’t work out or glad at least you got preg. It’s a hard one. :( hope you’re ok my lovely. Xxx

@Juno231 have you ovulated ?

How is everyone else? I started taking my bbt , not sure how accurate or well I’m doing it xxx

Mrsi2020 · 21/08/2020 15:11

I am cd6 today, might start opks in the midday over the weekend xx

@mumof23188 no worries, I’m glad I’m able to help in any way. I know what the limbo feeling is like and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

The fact you still have symptoms seems positive. I lost any symptoms almost immediately so without giving you false hope, maybe you aren’t out after all.

Is your hr still high or did you take your Fitbit off in the end?

As for using a tampon I wouldn’t tbh. I know when miscarrying you’re advised against it to prevent infection and allow everything that needs to come out, come out. Plus if you were still pregnant then a tampon wouldn’t be safe so I’d probably just stick with pads for now.

Well I can ovulate anytime from cd13 which is the earliest it’s ever happened, right through until cd22 which was how it used to be until I started taking soy isoflavones to bring on earlier ovulation. When I take those then ovulation is usually between cd13 and 16 so we’ll see! I’ll just keep testing and hope for a peak. Last time I tested in the morning and it was a real faint line and by the evening it was a clear peak reading.

Thank you, I must admit knowing I’m not perimenopausal was reassuring and knowing my body is producing all the right amounts of hormones is good to know. But unfortunately if the eggs that I have left are just not much good then nothing I can do will make any difference. I also need to lose weight as I weighed myself and even though I’m only a size 12-14 (but I’m short at 5,1), my weight outs my bmi high and classes me as obese 😩 so that’s my main mission, to lose weight to get back to my old weight. I was much lighter when I had my children years ago!

Sending you lots of luck too! X

mumof23188 · 21/08/2020 16:08

@Mrsi2020 😩 it’s sad isn’t it. I keep looking at my little pink line. Praying for the best but everytime I see the blood I can’t possibly think how it stuck! I’m ok thank you. Hope you are too ☺️. Hope the BBT works out for you.

@Moominmiss it’s horrible! Keep looking at the test and my thoughts run wild! Yes still having symptoms, I’m also exhausted. I’m definitely not feeling hopeful but praying for the best. Luckily I have a few pads so using them now but will have to get some more.
Really hope you get your peak soon. That’s brilliant that it worked and brought it forwards. I can imagine that it’s helped you relax a bit knowing that all the levels are good. How long have you been trying? The bmi calculator is crazy, I can’t see how it can put you as obese 🤔. I remember when they did it at my daughters school and some parents were outraged as it put some of their children in the overweight category!

Moominmiss · 21/08/2020 19:51

@mumof23188 try to stay positive, at least for now until you know for sure one way or another.

SO many women bleed in early pregnancy, and even throughout their entire pregnancies and everything is fine.

We’ll have been trying 12 months in September. I can’t believe we’re already coming up a year, it’s not felt that long. With my children I fell pregnant within 3 months with each of them so the fact things are taking this long, or failing when I do get pregnant indicates it’s my age/weight that’s causing it. But wow losing weight at 38 is way harder than it ever was losing it in my twenties!

Bmi is crazy! I know I’m overweight and put on a lot, but to look at me even I know I don’t look obese. Like I said I’m a 12-14 but even still wear size 10 jeans. But my god it makes you feel crap when the bmi calculator comes out with that! I’ve read that if your bmi is 30 or over that you need to be taking a higher dose (5mg) of folic acid so I’ve ordered some. Just got to stick with trying to lose as much as I can. I don’t want to fall pregnant and be classed as not only a geriatric mother but an obese one too!

I really am keeping everything crossed for you, don’t lose hope! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

LS2020 · 21/08/2020 19:56

Just read all your messages and thank you so much for your support 🥰 I feel a bit daft now that I didn’t stand up for myself a bit more. I was so mortified that they basically thought I was making it up, I just apologised and left! But it’s totally what I thought, how have they not heard of them? I’m on holiday next cycle so going to let OH’s SA come in and then call GP about what we need to do next... can’t wait to tell her that they don’t do day 3 bloods if that’s what she says 😂

@mumof23188 how strange for you - how’s your RHR? Only thing I was thinking was could it be ectopic as that gives weak HCG and you still get periods I think? If you get any shoulder pain call a and e!

LS2020 · 21/08/2020 19:58

@mumof23188 sending you big virtual (socially distant) hugs!! Xx

SarahTTC2020 · 22/08/2020 09:05

@ls2020 my AF hasn't even shown yet 😔 20dpo so I don't think I actually ovulated.
CD43 😭 HR isn't really doing anything either

Morning, how's everyone doing? My AF has been even weirder than usual... had the usual spotting beforehand then one heavy day on Thursday. Then yesterday it was very on and off all day and stopped for several hours during the day. It sometimes does that but not on CD2. Weird! 🤷🏻‍♀️ So glad I have my ultrasound on Tuesday.

@SarahTTC2020 Thats so frustrating your still waiting for something to happen. I really hope your cycles get shorter and AF comes soon.

@Juno231 Thats good you're DTD every 2-3 days to make sure you're covered. How's the opk today?

@mumof23188 I'm ok thank you, just trying to focus on my ultrasound now and hope it gives me some answers. How are you? Sorry to hear you're going through all this, TTC really does suck. 😔

@Mrsi2020 Im ok thanks, how are you? Hmmm yeah it's tricky with bbt (never done it myself) - do you set an alarm at the same time everyday to take it?

@LS2020 Don't feel daft, it's hard when actual medical people are saying it and being very grim about it. I'm sometimes able to stand up for myself and sometimes like "Erm, ok then, bye"!! Be interesting to see what your gp says about it all!

mumof23188 · 22/08/2020 20:41

@LS2020 it’s hard at the time isn’t it. I probably would of done the same as you and just left. Ahh lovely, how nice to have a holiday and get away from everything. Good plan! Haha yes imagine what she says to that 🤣. Thank you for the hugs 🥰. Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

@Fran2020 hiya, how strange is that! Are you still bleeding or has it stopped? Yes not long until your ultrasound. Will they tell you there and then the results? Fingers crossed for you that it’s all ok! TTC is so harsh. I’m ok! Just really confused by it all. I’m also having a weird AF that keeps stopping and starting. It’s not overly heavy and not painful at all which is weird for me. Hope you are having a lovely weekend ☺️

@SarahTTC2020 how bloody frustrating for you 😩. Hope it shows up soon! Are you still testing? Any symptoms?

@Moominmiss how are you today? I’m trying to but I think it’s all over. I’m just still feeling so sick which is strange. Also still having a positive OPK daily. Is that normal?
Sorry it’s taking you so long but I am pleased that you feel like it hasn’t been. How many children do you have? Yes I don’t agree with the bmi calculator at all. It’s beyond crazy! You cannot be obese and be size 12-14!! I agree it’s hard losing weight, I just can’t stick to anything. I’m happy with my weight but just need to tone up but I can’t seem to find the time lately! Do you follow any diets at all or just stick to calorie counting and exercise? Oh god that’s awful isn’t it, geriatric! Good luck with the weight loss ☺️. Thank you so much! Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

@Juno231 any luck with ovulating yet? Enjoy your weekend with friends and family.

mumof23188 · 22/08/2020 20:41

Forgot to add my chart! It’s started dropping now 😩

@Juno231 yesssss!! Get it on 😁

LS2020 · 23/08/2020 07:22

@SarahTTC2020 What did you use to track O? It looks like it’s coming down a bit so hopefully AF will show soon and you can get on with your new cycle 🤞🏻

@Fran2020 how strange! Has it changed at all in last day? Hopefully they can give you some reassurance Tuesday!

@mumof23188 sorry you’re still having a bit of a time with it with AF but if your RHR is decreasing hopefully means getting ready for new cycle and we can think about our potential May babies 😊 hope you’re having a good weekend!

@Juno231 yas girl, get some! Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend 😉

Just wondered if anyone could look at my charts & see what you think? Last period 26th july heart rate 54, currebt climbing daily is 62.
