Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 3

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@mumof23188 usually about day 12/13 depending on the cycle but it’s a bit weird after the CP as from my normal AF it would have been now I O but because bleeding was 5 days late, the app says next Thursday.
Hmm I think you need to adjust down by 0.1 for every half hour later but that won’t change much on your graph!

poptypingchef · 27/09/2020 20:23

@mumof23188 i thought that too but it bounced back down about an hour after I posted - that’s the second time it’s done that in the last couple of days 😩

Mrsi2020 · 28/09/2020 07:26

I add .1 for every half an hour bbt taken early. And I minus .1 if I take my temp later. I thought I was doing it right 🤣

Scan tomorrow and I can’t bloody wait! I just want to buy something 🤣 xxx

LS2020 · 28/09/2020 07:38

@mumof23188 had a flashing smiley again today so think I am in my FW, will be due a peak Wednesday so not long til I know I guess!

@poptypingchef that is the absolute worst- I was having a great rise this week and then all mine have revised and I’ve been pretty flat now for the last 4 days 😭

@Mrsi2020 how have you held off buying anything? I only got 5 days and I had bought everything on Amazon 😂

SarahTTC2020 · 28/09/2020 08:49

Hi ladies, just checked my rhr and it's dropped by 2 since yesterday 😭 so now I'm scared that it's a chemical. Got a digital reading today as well
@LS2020 is this similar to yours?

@SarahTTC2020 I honestly wouldn’t worry too much on RHR, when I was worried about mine, I googled it obsessively and was all kind of outcomes. I do recommend taking Fitbit off, although in a way it did prepare me for mine a bit more.
It’s really hard to say, mine started dropping about 15dpo but I kept getting lines til 17dpo (when I stopped testing), unfortunately I think you can only see what tomorrow brings but I would try not to overly worry about today. Sending you lots of hugs though because it’s nerve wracking. Do you have anymore FRER so you can follow your line progression?

SarahTTC2020 · 28/09/2020 09:17

Thank you @LS2020 , yes I'll stop googling 🙈 and try and accept that's what meant to be will be.
I have 2 more frer , are they any good on SMU or maybe I'll just wait till morning

mumof23188 · 28/09/2020 09:22

@LS2020 ah nice to be in FW again. Not long til OV now for you 🤞🤞. Crossing everything for you!

@poptypingchef 😩 I absolutely hate it when it does that!! What’s it doing today? When are you testing?

@Mrsi2020 😁😁😁 what time is your scan?

@SarahTTC2020 I really do think HR fluctuates so much in pregnancy. Mine did with my last baby. It’s so hard but try not to worry. Take each day as it comes. Early pregnancy is so nerve wracking.

Think I’m going to get a peak OPK today. Had a decent pink second line this morning. So going to test another couple of times today! HR is still on 63! God knows about my BBT 🤣

Girls I caved and tested with an IC today at 10DPO - BFN. But I just had a big nosebleed in the office and that is legit the first nosebleed of my life so I am inevitably getting my hopes up seeing as it's an early pregnancy sign!! Dammit body for trolling me.

OP posts:
Juno231 · 28/09/2020 09:25

@SarahTTC2020 I'm sure the drop is normal fluctuation! Don't you worry about it and maybe consider taking the fitbit off if it's stressing you out?

OP posts:
LS2020 · 28/09/2020 09:26

@SarahTTC2020 my advice is leave because it’ll likely be a weaker line because it’s SMU and that’ll just stress you out more, you got your digital today so it’s strong 🤞🏻 Plus for its are annoying and will probs revise it back up in a hour 😂 it does go up and down. When was AF due?

@mumof23188 fx for you too - enjoy DTD haha 😂

mumof23188 · 28/09/2020 09:31

@Juno231 sorry for the BFN but it’s still early! Think a nosebleed would get anyone’s hopes up! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞. What’s your HR and BBT doing?

@LS2020 🤣🤣 thanks you too! We’ve managed 4 days in a row! Going for 5 tonight 😂

SarahTTC2020 · 28/09/2020 09:35

Good point @LS2020 would worry me if it was weaker so I'll wait til morning. Tomorrow will be 14dpo so I guess AF due then 🤷🏼‍♀️ hard to tell with me as my cycles are irregular and last one was 52 days
Thanks @Juno231 bloody fitbits, if it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't be worried so I guess I'll just try and stay positive . FC the nosebleed is a good sign for you!!

poptypingchef · 28/09/2020 09:37

Hi @mumof23188 it’s still 62 😩

Not quite sure what more I can do. I am normally quite restrained and don’t test until AF is due or not at all. I’ve had a gnawing ache on my left side the last couple of days so who knows what that’s about 😂😂😂

If I did ovulate early then AF should appear on the first. At least i can get on to the next cycle i suppose.

LS2020 · 28/09/2020 11:57

@SarahTTC2020 my RHR dropped today and just gone back on and it’s revised back to 57 so honestly wouldn’t put too much stock in it. Any symptoms yet? ☺️

Ah sorry @Juno231, if it helps I think I implanted day 9 last month so wouldn’t have shown up on day 10 🤞🏻

@mumof23188 oh my gosh 😂😂 we’re doing every other day and thought that was generous hahah that is some stamina!!!

@poptypingchef ah how annoying, is 62 high for you?

SarahTTC2020 · 28/09/2020 12:15

Thank you @LS2020, no, just quite regular crampy feelings and wet down there, where you have to keep checking your pants 🙈 just taking it one day at a time now xx

LS2020 · 28/09/2020 12:19

@SarahTTC2020 lots of CM is a good sign 😊 yeah I was all smug like ‘wouldn’t even know I was pregnant, what a daft idiot I was symptom spotting’ then bam, 14/15dpo I was so nauseous I couldn’t move 😂 have you got an active job? Just try make sure you gets lots of rest!

poptypingchef · 28/09/2020 13:34

@LS2020 to be honest I used to start each month around 53 and rise up but the last few months I haven’t dropped below 58 at the start of my cycle. I never seen to get two months the same 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

familybythesea · 28/09/2020 16:44

Hi all, I’ve been lurking for a while and watching with interest. I feel pretty invested in a lot of your stories! I’m currently 9dpo trying for my 2nd after a missed miscarriage earlier in the year. I’ve attached my chart from when I got pregnant in 2018 and my latest chart.
My question is, has anyone noticed they have a dip every time they have spotting? I seem to have an increasingly bad problem with heavy spotting before my period starts - usually it’s 10dpo but this month it started at around 6dpo and then I had a blood clot (sorry tmi) and a heavy bleed at 8dpo but it’s stopped again and my rhr has increased again. I don’t think I can be pregnant and I imagine the drop will come again in the next few days, but my hormones must be all over the place. The only positive is I haven’t seen much of an uplift at all over the last few cycles but I took b6 and vitamin c this month and I feel like it improved things a little (although not on the spotting front).
Anyway, hello! Hoping you all get bfps soon x

Juno231 · 28/09/2020 16:49

@familybythesea hi and welcome! I don't really get spotting so can't answer the dip question but my first thought was implantation bleeding? Or do you get this in every cycle?

Girls I just checked my RHR (first time since Sat) and it's shot up and stayed at 69! I'll attach the pic asap (using MN on desktop vs fitbit screenshot on my phone is such a faff...)

69 at 10 DPO today, marked OD. Interim spike was wine lol.

@Ls2020 thanks for that - gives me hope 🤞

Oh this is exciting @Juno231

SarahTTC2020 · 28/09/2020 17:14

@Juno231 come on heart rate!! Hoping that plus nosebleed means you just implanted at 9dpo and nothing to trigger test yet. FC for you!!

familybythesea · 28/09/2020 17:20

@Juno231 thank you, sadly I get the spotting every month. I have an appointment next month to see a consultant so hoping I can get some further tests done (GP has done basic ones but it wasn’t useful as he wouldn’t do a progesterone one). I don’t know if it’s connected to the fact I have a fibroid or a hormone imbalance or...?

We’re at a very similar day in our cycles - fingers crossed your spike is the beginning of a big rise :)

LS2020 · 28/09/2020 18:23

@poptypingchef I can be like that, I hope the higher than normal RHR is a good sign for you 🤞🏻

@Juno231 that is a very nice jump in RHR!!! Deffo give it another test tomorrow ☺️

@familybythesea welcome - yeah I would deffo get the spotting checked out to make sure your progesterone is high enough but your graph could still be positive ☺️
