Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

I stopped taking prenatal vitamins around March this year, long story but after the miscarriage in January and then covid my partner had a mental breakdown and now suffers with panic attacks, anxiety, depression.
Before the breakdown we were eagerly trying again to get pregnant but during his issues which took from March to June to become stable we had not been trying too hard and having to work around his medication, mood, anxiety etc.
Anyway it’s now September and he is stable his medication helps him a lot with his mental health but it hasn’t done amazing for his libido. And probably too much info but he can’t always finish.
So anyway I stopped taking the vitamins because they had run out and with the stress of everything i though what is the point.
While on the vitamins the folic acid had extended my cycles- and I averaged 32-34 days with ovulation on day 20.
And I’ve been following this cycle when tracking ( I also ran out of OPK’s in June)
I’ve just checked my Ovia and realised that since April my cycles have tracked at 28day except for June which was 31 days.
In June I used my last OPKS and checking Premom my peak was on day 19.
Peak CD16 in April and cd15 in May.

So coming to the point of my post. My HR is a bit strange this month that I am now on cd21 and it’s rose again I have elevated from 60bpm to since cycle day 14.
Now assuming like last month this month is a 28 day cycle I could have ovulated between 14 and day 16 possibly.
We managed to do the deed On cd13 and haven’t since.
You may remember that I said I felt a pain in my left side a few days ago - around cd19. This would be 6 days after we had sex. I had a rise on day 14 of 2bpm and then it was stable for a day and since then it’s risen.

Sorry for the long post.
I’ve been feeling deflated recently that my partners mental health is affecting our baby journey- my partners mental health comes first and I’ve been careful not to put pressure on him. But I’m 36 and every Cycle that passes I get this sinking feeling that it could have been my last chance, I find the feeling overwhelming somedays. It was particularly hard last week as that would have been my due date and I returned to work from 2 week holiday that I had booked to lead into my maternity leave.

Anyway I’ll see what happens in the next week see if AF arrives.

@Kona84 af might not arrive 😳 xxx

Kona84 · 12/09/2020 16:05

@Mrsi2020 fingers crossed it doesn’t.
I wish I hadn’t spotted the trend I was convinced there was no chance this month and I have been rehearsing my conversation with my partner on how we can overcome our obstacles and how important it is to me.

LS2020 · 12/09/2020 16:59

@Mrsi2020 still massively nauseous but might also be because I haven’t eaten regularly since I found out and have had 2 hours sleep so baby is probably thinking wtf is this life 😂
I don’t know as my line manager had hers at 9 weeks just through normal process so think I’d wait to see what week I get and then see? I’d want OH there too and not sure how that works atm

Mrsi2020 · 12/09/2020 21:01

@Kona84 how nice if it doesn’t and you don’t have to have that convo!! Fingers crossed for you, I think even though it prob means as much to them they’re not consumed by ttc 24/7 - my dh isn’t anyway. He thinks “it happens when it’s meant to” 🙄

@LS2020 I think our hospital isn’t having partners atm so that was another reason we booked a private as he can go to.

Girls my rhr is dropping, the first dip is ov. I’m panicking xxx

@mumof23188 shared a chart on the 10th that showed fluctuations in HR while pregnant. I know it’s hard by try not to worry remember that hydration, sleep, activity can all affect it.

LS2020 · 13/09/2020 07:52

@Mrsi2020 yeah if we can’t have partners I will 100% do. Again going ofF my managers experience that she got to have hers there at 12 and 20 week scans (she had her 20 this week) so hoping I can have him there.

Please try not to worry, mine dropped a bit today too but I’m not too worried given that I barely slept yesterday it would have been super high. I’m right there with you though terrified that AF will show as it’s due today :(
Nausea and boob soreness is still there tho so 🤞🏻

HansBanans · 13/09/2020 11:44

So AF is two days away going by my shortest cycle. Here's my chart and I've had some brown CM. Did an FRER with SMU yesterday but was blank so not holding out hope!

PlutosHeart · 13/09/2020 12:09

Hello all, I've stalked this thread for a while as I find it all very interesting. Previous cycles I've had similar trends of rhr dropping and increasing indicating different parts of my cycle.
But this month has been strange. I've had the lowest rhr I've ever had, the 3 years I've had my garmin (only stopped pill 6 months) and its flat linned on 66 bpm, so ups or downs. Worried I've just not ovulated! If I have I'm 9 dpo (ish). Didn't do opks as I was trying to chill out more this cycle - but the opposite has now happened 🙈
I've read through pages on forums and I can't seem to find anyone with the same trend as me

LS2020 · 13/09/2020 13:07

@Mrsi2020 panicked a bit since I messaged you so walked 9km round trip to a pharmacy (tried two shops but Spanish must not be as obsessive as us!) To get a test and it’s come back fine which has helped - could you do something similar?

@HansBanans nice and high! If you think brown CM is potential implantation you want to give it 48 hours before you tested again 😊

@PlutosHeart I had a really flat cycle last month I think. Has about 10/11 days where it was within 1bpm each day and I got my day 21 bloods done at doctor and they confirmed I ovulated so try not to worry. I tend to find my stress and life influences affect my RHR much more 😊

HansBanans · 13/09/2020 13:16

@LS2020 amazing thank you 😊 I'll wait and see what happens and then I'll try then x

PlutosHeart · 13/09/2020 17:48

Thanks for your reply @LS2020, I must try stay more positive! I started back at work this cycle, which can be stressful, so I expected if anything it would have gone up! But I have been sleeping better as I've been so busy.

HansBanans · 14/09/2020 07:33

Well the spotting turned into full blown AF ☹️ BBT has dropped massively this morning but RHR hasn't budged... starting to think there's something wrong with my Fitbit 😂

Mrsi2020 · 14/09/2020 07:49

Hi everyone? How are you all? Sorry for af hun :( Will you try anything different this month? New cycle new opportunity! Xxx

I have been awol for a few days as I was getting so anxious! I think I have a dye stealer today ... altho rhr not promising

Hope everyone is ok.

HansBanans · 14/09/2020 08:32

Ah it's fine. Just so annoyed as it came two days earlier than I expected, so that's now my shortest cycle at 31 days. I was hoping it was an implant bleed 🙈 I think I'm going to try and stop obsessing about my RHR and just go with the flow this cycle but it's so addictive!

Ooh that's definitely a dye stealer! Congrats! Can't really help with the RHR but if your tests are getting stronger then that should be a good sign xx

Mrsi2020 · 14/09/2020 09:35

@HansBanans thank you! That’s prob a good idea. Have you tried Angus cactus or anything like that? Xx

LS2020 · 14/09/2020 09:35

@HansBanans ah sorry AF showed! Weird with RHR, mine would drop massively the day before or the day of so maybe it will tonight?

@PlutosHeart yeah I think it takes the night readings so if you’re in a deeper sleep it’s probably lower than the stress. Do you temp?

@Mrsi2020 oh my gosh look at that progression!! That looks like a happy one! Mines dropped too but still getting ok lines 😊 it’ll go up and down x

HansBanans · 14/09/2020 09:56

@Mrsi2020 no I haven't, what does it do?

@LS2020 I've just checked it again there and it's adjusted itself down by 2bpm so it's definitely moving now!

mumof23188 · 14/09/2020 10:17

@Mrsi2020 lovely dye stealer there! Don’t worry about HR fluctuations. Mine fluctuated all through my last pregnancy.

@HansBanans sorry AF arrived 😩. Just waiting on mine to turn up now!

HansBanans · 14/09/2020 10:25

@mumof23188 thanks x when is your AF due? The waiting is a nightmare isn't it!

ambs1994 · 14/09/2020 10:26

6dpo here and I'm having twinges and cramps so I wonder if its implantation? Feeling very bloated too

mumof23188 · 14/09/2020 10:36

@HansBanans yes it’s the worst part isn’t it! Premom has me down for AF today but my cycle is usually 28-30 days. I’m 14dpo today so max is 17 days for LP isn’t it?

HansBanans · 14/09/2020 11:03

@mumof23188 I think the max is something like that. Hopefully she shows soon so you can get onto your next cycle x

mumof23188 · 14/09/2020 11:24

@HansBanans thank you! I’m starting bbt next cycle!
