Eek how exciting @Daffodil21 !! All my fingers are still crossed for you!
And congratulations @CEW19 ! Hopefully this is the start of a cascade of announcements like this!

Daffodil21 · 21/01/2021 10:33

Thank you all, hoping it continues like this!

@CEW19 how are you doing? Sunk in yet??

CEW19 · 21/01/2021 11:31

@Daffodil21 Doing ok thanks, trying not to think about it too much haha! Boobs sore, lower back sore, but that's it so far. Around 4+4 now and desperate to tell someone but decided not to for a couple of weeks. How are you feeling?

Daffodil21 · 22/01/2021 09:45

@CEW19 so exciting!! I don't know how you've managed not to tell anyone! I'm ok thanks, hasn't really sunk in that so far so good. I still feel like I'm lying when I say I'm pregnant! Going to be a long two weeks until the next scan, but I'm fortunate they've allowed me extra scans. If we get to 12 weeks that will be my 4th scan (one was private) so it's been really nice to see things progressing as they should for once

How are we all doing this week? @bramleyapples13 @acaciabluebell where are you in your cycle this month? I'm in the FW, so the TWW is looming over the horizon!

@daffodil21 @cew19 how are you both doing?

CEW19 · 27/01/2021 11:07

Morning! Doing ok thanks @Tofu35, occasional waves of nausea, sore lower back, and sensitive boobs. We caved and told my parents on the weekend, just for someone else to talk to about it other than each other. Have my first call with midwife tomorrow which might make things seem a bit more real. Still just trying not to think about it too much, it'll be a long 6 weeks otherwise!

Hope everyone else doing ok?

acaciabluebell · 27/01/2021 11:37

Hey @Tofu35 I am on 8dpo today so nearing the end of my TWW. AF due in 4 days, on Sunday. I'm not sure if I ovulated this month (no ovulation pain) and I don't feel any PMS symptoms at all either. I started a drastic new diet this month so I wouldn't be surprised if my period was weeks late or if I skipped a period altogether. I did have my Day 21 bloods at 6dpo, haven't got the results yet

Tofu35 · 27/01/2021 13:28

@acaciabluebell that's great you had your bloods this month, fingers crossed they come back ok. What is your new diet?

acaciabluebell · 27/01/2021 13:35

@Tofu35 It's basically the keto diet (very low carb), plus calorie restriction and intermittent fasting 😂 Triple whammy. I'm determined to whip my body into shape. I've lost 9lbs so far in under 3 weeks so it's going well.

I've got my day 3 bloods on this coming Monday too, hopefully (if I'm not pregnant) AF comes on time and I don't have to cancel it like last month! I want to ask if I can get an internal scan and HSG too, but not sure if the GP will request those or if I have to wait for the fertility clinic.

Daffodil21 · 27/01/2021 13:35

I'm ok thank you, just waaaaiting until next scan next Thursday.

@CEW19 glad you're doing ok but sorry to hear you're suffering with nausea. Wow you got your midwife app super early!

@acaciabluebell glad you've had your bloods done but sorry you're in the tww. Hope it's not going too slowly for you!

@Tofu35 hope you're getting busy Wink

Tofu35 · 27/01/2021 13:44

Haha @daffodil21, I got the solid smiley on the CB test a few days early so it's the "quick, DTD every day so we have a good chance" time of the month. Busy indeed!

CEW19 · 27/01/2021 13:53

@daffodil21 the nausea isn't too bad, and not every day. The way I've described it to DH is when you've had too much to drink and you're trying not to puke in the back of the taxi lol. Once I've eaten something it passes then. I think it's just filling forms but excited for it anyway, feels a bit more real then. Just left the house properly for the first time in two weeks and my jeans are a little snug too. Not sure if that's down to lockdown lbs or not though haha. How are you feeling? Any symptoms?

Daffodil21 · 27/01/2021 14:23

@Tofu35 good job you were testing if it was early!

@CEW19 the forms are so endless! I was there for over an hour filling them all in. They're mostly questions about yours and your family's medical history. They will also ask you if you feel safe at home etc as well, which I suppose is a good thing to check! My jeans were very snug very early on - which was partly due to the meds I'm on. I can't believe how different (and hideous!) my body looks already, but the meds are worth it. I'm alright thanks, just tired and peeing lots (4 times a night!) are my only symptoms, which I'm trying not to overthink! Starting to feel a bit panicky about next week's scan though. I woke up sweating last night, feeling sick and my heart was going really fast so I hope that doesn't mean nothing bad has happened... bring on next Thursday so I can find it either way

@Tofu35 I aren't monitoring it any more because we aren't properly TTC anymore. I've had a think about some things and decided I want other things in my life first. However, saying that, we've made the decision to keep our place in the queue for the fertility clinic because we're assuming we'll be pensioners before we get an appointment!

I hope everyone is getting on okay? I'm so chuffed for all the pregnant ones! And hope that everything is going okay for the others.

I just keep thinking that in March last year we were in a heatwave, so maybe soon we'll all be getting our razors out for our legs (or is it just me that keeps my legs warm in winter?).

CEW19 · 02/02/2021 19:31

I’m having a tough day ladies. Woke this morning to brown blood, freaked out and called midwife who said it could just be old blood and nothing to worry about but to call GP for EPU referral anyway. GP said probs nothing to worry about and referred to EPU. EPU asked a load of questions, told them I’d had period style cramps from the beginning and she said they want to do a scan not because of the bleeding but because of the cramping. I’m now worried that it’s an ectopic. WHY DOES GOOGLE EXIST?! Have a scan tomorrow morning but just can’t stop thinking about it.

Daffodil21 · 02/02/2021 19:45

@CEW19 so sorry to read this, I really hope it's nothing to worry about. Bleeding isn't ALWAYS bad news. I had a red blood bleed followed by brown for an evening and the following morning before Christmas, and all is still ok (as of my last scan on Thursday anyway).

There is no way of knowing how this will go until you get checked out, it's good to be prepared for both outcomes but don't assume the worst. I thought ectopic was sharper pains, and to one side rather than period like cramping? How far along are you? Cramping can be common in early pregnancy too x

OP posts:
CEW19 · 02/02/2021 19:56

Well I have been having some pains on the right side, but they haven’t been particularly painful, and only in the evening really so I just thought it was wind or just normal pregnancy pains. I’m just really crossing fingers and toes that it’s just normal and nothing to worry about. I’ve just been so anxious something would happen ever since I found out and now I just feel like this is confirmation. I’m 6+2 now

Daffodil21 · 02/02/2021 20:55

@CEW19 it doesn't necessarily mean something bad is happening, although of course I understand the worry. Have got absolutely everything crossed for you tomorrow. Try and get as good as nights rest as you can. Let us know how it goes, I'll be looking out for your update x

OP posts:
CEW19 · 03/02/2021 10:32

@daffodil21 Just back from the appointment and all is looking good and measuring around 6 weeks. The cramping is down to some small cysts on my ovaries which I'm told is perfectly normal and will go on their own by the end of the first trimester. Such a relief. Just need to continue the waiting game now for the 12 week scan. Yours is tomorrow isn't it?

Daffodil21 · 03/02/2021 10:40

@CEW19 I'm so relieved and thrilled for
you!! That must be such a weight lifted!

Yes it is, well remembered! Dreading it to be honest. I did have a private scan a week ago because I couldn't wait any longer, all was ok, but that was a week ago so anything could have changed

OP posts:
CEW19 · 03/02/2021 11:21

@Daffodil21, hold that thought. Just had a call back from the clinic. The sonographer has had another look at the images and wants me to come back now for an internal scan for a closer look at the cysts. I asked what else it could be and she said it's very very rare, but you can sometimes have an ectopic at the same time as the 'viable' pregnancy. Going back in for 12.

Daffodil21 · 03/02/2021 12:01

@CEW19 that sounds scary. I have never heard of this. I'm glad they're being thorough with you and really hope that's not the case. Keep us posted x

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 03/02/2021 12:44

Its great the sonographer is on it and has you coming back in for further examination. Hope everything goes okay xx @cew19

CEW19 · 03/02/2021 13:15

Thanks @tofu35 @daffodil21. After the most stressful 2 days ever, everything looks fine and as it should. Glad they took it seriously but oh my god. think my heart is only now beating properly.

Daffodil21 · 03/02/2021 13:27

@CEW19 what a relief!!!! So pleased for you!
