@Daffodil21 I've been using One Step internet cheapies and they've been stark white negative.

I'm not hopeful because I had really sore boobs from 5dpo until 11dpo and now they don't hurt anymore, which is what normally happens for me the day before AF. (apparently it's due to Progesterone dip?). I was expecting AF yesterday as it normally arrives bang on 12dpo. I didn't use OPKs though so maybe I ovulated later than I thought, although I got pretty strong ovulation cramping on the day which I estimated was ovulation.

Still getting the dark brown stringy discharge but (TMI) it's only when I check 'inside'. When I wipe normally there's barely anything on the tissue. I did some research and apparently dark brown discharge means old blood. I hardly ever get brown discharge or if I do - it's more like brown blood and only lasts a couple hours rather than this weird stringy stuff which I've had for over a day now!

Daffodil21 · 29/12/2020 13:37

@acaciabluebell nothing is tmi here! It still does sound a bit promising to me but obviously it's not good to get your hopes up! I've never used those ones but I have used other internet cheapies before where I've had a really faint line barely there - SH couldn't see it) but it has got to a positive on a digital on the same day. I've always been skeptics about the brown is old blood thing, for me that's just how AF starts and ends (and also how my MCs start).

@Tabbycat92 16dpo with no AF and no bfp must be so frustrating! Is your LP usually quite long?

acaciabluebell · 29/12/2020 14:28

Scratch all that. Bright red bleeding has started. I don't know why I even bother letting myself think anything is different. Every month is the bloody same. Even if my body tricks me with new symptoms, the result is always the same

acaciabluebell · 29/12/2020 14:31

I had a blood test booked for earlier today as it was supposed to be day 2/3 of my cycle. I had to cancel it this morning as AF hadn't even started. And of course, AF decides to show now.

My day 21 bloods got cancelled last week as well. So now this cycle has been a fail and all my tests have been a fail. I have to start again and somehow try to predict my cycle dates so I can book these tests again for next month. So so frustrating

Daffodil21 · 29/12/2020 16:10

@acaciabluebell that's so so shit, I'm sorry AF arrived again and you've been on this shitty 'journey' (eugh) for a year now. So annoying they cancelled your progesterone bloods as well!!! Sending WineWineWine

Hello everyone. I was hoping to see good news after Christmas for everyone but it looks like a right poo storm!

As an aside from baby things how is everyone feeling? We've had snow! I love throwing snow balls for the dog, he gets so confused when they land 😍

I'm intending on going into 2021 with a bit more of a cheerful outlook on life and just enjoying each day as it happens. Beautiful weather and a full box of chocolates as an example 😂

Tofu35 · 29/12/2020 19:38

Aww @bramleyapples13, that's such a lovely image of your dog being confused by snowballs.

I live too close to the city for a lot of snow, but we had a wee bit this morning. Helps prolong those Christmas feelings Xmas Smile

Bramleyapples13 · 30/12/2020 18:16

@Tofu35 he's an absolute lovely twit. But mostly twit when he's eating rabbit and horse poo and looks amazed when I'm shouting 'NO! DIRTY DOG!' 😂

It's lovely when things feel wintry, like sunny and cold. But not when it's blowing a gale and peeing it down.

Daffodil21 · 30/12/2020 19:36

@Bramleyapples13 your dog sounds adorable! We have snow too 😀

I decided to man up and book myself a scan, I can't deal with the uncertainty any longer. It's at 9am tomorrow - absolutely dreading it!!!

OP posts:
Bramleyapples13 · 30/12/2020 19:56

@Daffodil21 he's a beautiful dog, and very cuddly. He'd be very happy giving you a fuss if you needed one, but he does dribble and trips over his own ears 😍 I hope it's not been what you think, but we'll all be thinking of you and your OH. Giving virtual handholds and hoping that you get some update or some better steps forward than you've had so far.

Daffodil21 · 30/12/2020 20:07

@Bramleyapples13 he sounds perfect ❤️ Thank you. I should be 7+4 tomorrow so there should be a heartbeat, if there isn't then that's my answer, so I'll be out of limbo at least

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 31/12/2020 10:01

Just had my scan - there's a heartbeat and it's all measuring as it should! First time the measurements have ever been as expected and the first time they didn't need to go internally! Heartbeat nice and fast too.

Had a meeting with the consultant afterwards where they admitted they didn't carry out genetic testing like they should have done for the last pregnancy, so I'm not too happy about that. But at least we know now so we can make sure it's done properly if this doesn't work out

Poppyismyfavourite · 31/12/2020 11:56

That's a good sign @Daffodil21, fingers crossed! Are they doing the tests for this one?

Bramleyapples13 · 31/12/2020 12:19

Yay!! That's fantastic! Is this the furthest any has ever been? How do you feel?

My OH cousin miscarried every boy she ever had but carried every girl through to term. They should definitely be apologising and trying to get you some answers.

Daffodil21 · 31/12/2020 12:42

@Bramleyapples13 thank you! Yes it is, the furthest previously was measuring 6+3 even though it should have been further along. I'm not really sure tbh! Massively relieved but trying not to get ahead of myself and hoping I don't have anymore bleeding...
I'm so annoyed but not surprised that they f*d it up, but I'm just going to let it go tbh as it's too late now. If I wasn't pregnant now though I would be unleashing the beast!!!!!

@Poppyismyfavourite thank you! No tests atm, I'm not sure what they can test for while you're pregnant? How are you???? How far are you along now??

DressyGerbera · 31/12/2020 22:37

Hi All I haven't really posted in a while and was new to the thread - I hope you are all doing well and congratulations @Daffodil21! The past couple of months have been stressful but my period was late this time, and I got a positive! Just wanted to say thank you to all the ladies here who have posted!

Daffodil21 · 01/01/2021 09:58

Amazing @DressyGerbera congratulations!

Yaaaas @daffodil21!!! Brilliant news, so pleased!

Poppyismyfavourite · 06/01/2021 16:27

How's it going @Daffodil21??? still have my fingers crossed for you!

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow, time flies! Feeling pretty rubbish tbh, terrible joint pain in my lower back and also pelvic pains mean I don't sleep well! But only just over 3 weeks of work left...

Poppyismyfavourite · 06/01/2021 16:28

Oops name change fail! You know me as Poppyismyfavourite!

Daffodil21 · 06/01/2021 16:51

@JustAnotherUserinParadise when I read your post I was like 'who the f is this randomer' 😂 I was so confused!! Wow! I cannot believe you're that far along already!!!!!! That has blown my mind a little!! You must be getting excited!

It seems to be going atm... no more bleeding but then of course I could have a MMC. I've got my booking app with the midwife next week, and a reassurance scan the following week. I'm still not allowing myself to get attached to this though as it's still early days. But this is the furthest we've got with measurements being as they should be (as of a week ago anyway...).

OP posts:
JTB123 · 06/01/2021 21:20

@Daffodil21 I'm also another who keeps checking back to see how you're doing 😂😂😂 all routing for you, how funny! 😂 so glad you've had no bleeding this time, fingers are crossed for you that this is the one ♥️♥️🤞🏼
I'm 28 weeks this week, cannot actually believe how quick it goes once you're past the anxious point of worrying every 5 minutes! (Not that I've stopped worrying) 😂😂

Xxx

Poppyismyfavourite · 07/01/2021 09:30

@Daffodil21 haha sorry! I changed it as I felt like I'd posted so much under the old name it was getting embarassing!

Yes the reality is starting to sink in! I had to admit to myself yesterday that I'm not going to get round to painting our bedroom before the baby comes! I had a massive list of DIY to get done but I'm getting slower and slower and everything is more painful and tiring so I'm just going to end up making myself ill at this rate! Did the bathroom over christmas and doing the airing cupboard now and then I'm done!

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you, when is your next scan?? I think of this thread fairly often actually (in a nice, non-weird way!) Smile

@JTB123 officially third trimester now! How are you feeling?

Daffodil21 · 07/01/2021 10:43

@Poppyismyfavourite I was really confused because you sounded like you 'knew' us, and then when you said you were 36 weeks I thought you couldn't possibly be from this thread - I hadn't realised how fast time has gone! Aww I guess you won't need the nursery straight away anyway?

My next scan is 20th. Dreading it already tbh and just trying not to think about it until closer to the time! I've got my booking app with the midwife next week but I just feel like a fraud tbh.

@JTB123 aw that's so sweet! I'm glad you're doing well!!

Poppyismyfavourite · 07/01/2021 11:01

@Daffodil21 I'm just an idiot :). Thankfully the baby's room is done, although all the other baby stuff like pram and car seat are piled up in there too so it doesn't look that nice!
I hope I'll have time to do our bedroom while on maternity leave lol... my mum will probably be willing to help me!

@JTB123 the worrying really doesn't stop does it! I think I had my first braxton hicks contraction the other day and freaked out a bit!
