As soon as AF disappears, which will be soon 🤞 me & my partner will be ttc :)
I've been keeping an eye on my cycles for a little while using the flo app & have been taking pregnacare.
Is there anything else we should know or do to help prepare ourselves? :)
Exited to go on this roller coaster of a journey & as no one knows of our plans would be lovely to hear off people ttc too :) xx

@Amy259 yep I came off the pill in Feb after 11 years but only decided to start ttc in August and cycles have been between 32 and 45 days mostly around 34, this month was the first I got positive OPK's but didn't manage to dtd so I knew it wouldn't happen this month. I ovulated CD21 this month like you say it is frustrating because you have to wait longer to try again! I won't ovulate until around 6th October now (fingers crossed no longer!)
I work with young children so literally surrounded by babies and pregnant mum's all the time!

@maudesid ahh my app is guessing around 7th/8th October so we can be buddies at least! Assuming my cycle isn’t all messed up this time because of the chemical pregnancy. Feels so long to wait, I can’t decide which is worse - this bit or the tww!

This bit is rubbish because you're just waiting with nothing going on but the tww is rubbish because you're constantly looking for symptoms and googling and obsessing! God I'm sure people led me to believe that ttc was fun?! Anyone having fun yet?! hahaha

@Amy259 so sorry about your chemical pregnancy that must have been really tough, I hope your cycle settles and we can both be good to go early October haha

@maudesid I'm going to try and hold out until Friday or for when AF is due. (Easier said then done tho 😂)

So I couldn't wait.. 😂 I took one last night & there wasn't even a show of a line no mistaking it was a BFN & then
I took a clear blue this morning 6 days early one and there is the faintest line that deffo wasn't there last night..

I got caught out with this last month tho thinking I had seen a line & then AF came so I'm going to wait to test now for a few days.

Oh wow @rosiej95 that is so exciting, definitely wait a few days (if you can!) but sounds like it could be...

@beckyBP how do you manifest? My friend always talks about putting things to the universe to make them happen, I may have bought a moonstone necklace and am quietly considering acupuncture.. I'm honestly so interested in how anyone calmly goes about ttc?! I've lost the plot!

@maudesid yes fingers crossed my cycle is just like a normal one and there are some early October babies on the horizon haha. I don’t get how people can be relaxed about it either, but I think I’m maybe just really impatient?? It’s like now we’re ready for it, I want it just to happen now thanks 😂

AF due in 4 days.
I've got a FRER so will use that on a morning at some point. There was deffo a very faint line on the clear blue, but I don't wanna get my hopes up 😞

So I've just taken a Sainsbury's one cause I called in shop on way home.

BFN I'm not going to buy a clear blue next month.
Even my boyfriend said there was a line.
So just going to wait for AF now & get ready for next cycle.

AF has just ended for me.. we go again 😅 we were just talking about it and are going to try and have sex everyday of the fertile window. I'm shattered just thinking about it 😂🙈

@maudesid I'm Feeling a bit meh tbh.. we're going to be going into our 3rd cycle which is nothing in comparison to some people 😞 but the waiting is so pants!
Are you going to be using ovulation sticks again this time? 😊

@rosiej95 I get it. When AF arrives for me I'm so gutted and angry but then i use my AF time to just get some head space from it and start fresh when finished.

I'm going into my 4th cycle and as you say, I know that's not long in the grand scheme of things but it feels it!! Xx

@beckyBP how long until your fertile window? Get down the gym and get that energy up haha

@rosiej95 sod those tests for messing you around definitely don't buy those again! I will be using OPK's again because my app uses my temp so kind of guesses your fertile window and then confirms ov after the temp spike so I don't want to rely on that predicting my window especially as my cycles seem to vary in length! I have to say the first positive opk I got last month felt like winning the lottery I was so relieved to see I was ovulating!

@RLou3 I am currently CD4 last month I ov'd on CD21(ish) and my cycle ended up being 36 days so I'm guessing I'll be in my fertile window from about CD17? Assuming a similar length cycle this time, they seem to be 32-36 with the odd 45 thrown in just to really stress me out!

Me and DH just got back from a weekend away (of which I was on my period the whole time how cruel!) and had a chat about babies and really going for it now, before he was very much let's just relax and it will happen (I was never on that page haha) I'm considering accupuncture if my cycles don't settle soon.

@rosiej95 I feel ya - we’re in cycle 3 now too (with a cp last month) and I can’t imagine what it must be like for couples ttc for years, I’m already feeling the strain!! Every cycle feels so long. Sorry to hear about those tests, that’s rubbish ♥️

@maudesid af has just left here too, now for the wait.... cd8 here and I think I’ll ov around cd19/20 if the chemical doesn’t mess it up.

Thanks @maudesid! I managed to have lots of mini celebrations with friends and family, since we’re not allowed anything as a group just now, and it was lovely! Lots of bubbles and good food too, and DH spoilt me rotten.

I think it’s quite common for a cp to mess up your cycle, so if I ov when I’m supposed to I’d be due to ovulate around 3rd/4th Oct but if I go from the bleed being cd1 it would be 7th/8th. So I guess I’ll just have to keep DTD regularly and try to use OPKs to date it this month. It shouldn’t matter too much, I hope!

Gutted AF was there for your weekend away but good you and your husband got to talk about it properly. Fertile window starts Tuesday for me I think!

It's such a nice thread to come to with no judging and people who get it because I know I don't feel like I can talk to people in my day to day life
about this stuff!

Had my cervical screening letter come through so that's booked in for next Tuesday from what I can see it is safe to have it done while ttc and should be before my fertile period hopefully!

Tbf when AF shows up I usually make the most of it & use that time to drink wine & eat my steaks rare 😊 😂
no AF yet, she's meant to appear today.
Massively bloated tho so recon she will arrive tomorrow.
