Smushty14 · 24/01/2021 21:18

@motherofdinosau Congratulations 🎉

dogmam · 25/01/2021 12:04

@motherofdinosau ahhh congratulations!!! I bet you feel on cloud 9! Lovely news. Yes as always, share your tips and tricks for us please!!

@kalecat a little boy, how lovely, congratulations!

I had my first clinic appointment at the beginning of the month. They have arranged for me and my partner to have further tests which are in March then we have w follow up appointment in April. My other halfs first SA were low so if it hasn't improved, we would be eligible to start IVF, but if everything comes back ok, we would need to wait for the two year mark for IVF. Obviously hoping it will happen naturally before we go down that route!! It's so scary, we are both healthy 30 year olds, can't believe we are even having to think about IFV, never thought in a million years we would be in this situation but here we are!!

Hope you're all ok! I love how we keep popping up to say hi and check in on each other even though we're all at completely different stages x

Dinosaurus86 · 25/01/2021 18:56

Ah, congratulations @motherofdinosau!

Good luck with all of your appointments @dogmam!

I just had a hysteroscopy to remove a polyp and am hoping that might do the trick for us.

Fran2020 · 28/01/2021 19:27

Hey guys, not sure if anyone remembers me from a few months ago too! I stepped away from Mumsnet for a bit to not obsess as much!!

Well I'm now in month 20 of TTC with AF due at the weekend (ish). Since Monday I've really not been feeling myself, really seek and just not right. Plus a whole load of other 'symptoms'. I want to be optimistic but after so long, it's hard!

Congratulations @Dinosaurus86! That's amazing! What symptoms have you had?!

Fran2020 · 28/01/2021 19:28

Sorry!!! I meant @motherofdinosau!! Confused

Fran2020 · 28/01/2021 19:29

@Dinosaurus86 I'm planned in for a hycosy with nhs (when it re opens) as they want to investigate a possible polyp too. When are you having your procedure? Hope it goes well Smilexx

Dinosaurus86 · 28/01/2021 22:17

Hi @Fran2020! Hope you are doing ok... sounds promising but like you I tend not to be too optimistic anymore. I think I’ve had every symptom in the book. But fingers crossed this is it for you!

I’ve actually just had both procedures very recently. I had the hycosy late December and the hysteroscopy last week. Hopefully you won’t need them though. My hycosy confirmed a polyp that was seen on the scan but hard to visualise. But it showed clear tubes. Then polyp removed via hysteroscopy.

One problem I have appears to be a rather thin lining, which I’m very concerned about. I’ve been reading studies that it can be caused by long term use of the pill (typically 10+) and I was on it for 12/13 years. Unfortunately it’s only just starting to be recognised now and so certainly was never stated as a risk when I was taking it!

But I’m hoping removing the polyp will help a bit, as it will have been stealing some of the blood supply and apparently they can create a ‘hostile environment’ (a term I remember from Monica on Friends...) for implantation.

Fran2020 · 28/01/2021 22:43

Hi @Dinosaurus86 yeah I know exactly what you mean! Pretty sure I've had every symptom in the book too. How long have you been TTC now?

I had an HSG done privately which showed one blocked tube. But now I have been referred to the nhs fertility clinic, they want a hycosy and AMH test.

Where about was the polyp? I'm glad they've managed to remove it. I really hope it helps you. Was the procedure quick? Painful?Smile

Oh really, did they suggest things you can do to thicken the lining?

Ahh yes, I remember that from Monica from friends!

dogmam · 30/01/2021 19:52

Hi @fran2020 yeah I remember most ladies from this thread! Sorrybyoure in month 20, hopefully a lucky one with the way you're feeling?! I'm nearly at month 16 and recently had my first clinic appointment. Keep us updated if you get your BFP!

@dinosaurus86 really hope now your polyp has been removed, it does the trick and you get your BFP. At least these procedures give a little bit of fresh hope, which deffinetly starts to disappear the longer you've been ttc.

Fran2020 · 31/01/2021 11:51

@dogmam I remember you too, sorry to hear that you're now in month 16. How was your first clinic appointment?
Thank you, I really do hope it's a lucky one but it's so hard to feel hopeful after so long! 🤞🏼of course!

1992EM · 11/02/2021 23:38

@fran2020 lovely to see you back on . I am still on the ttc bus and on cycle 10 . 6 dpo so in the dreaded wait yet again. I hope you are doing ok❤

1992EM · 17/02/2021 07:23

I am currently sitting in the toilet crying. I have just had my first ever BFP . I got one yesterday on a cheapie at 10 dpo and have just done a frer and it is positive ❤ I just hope it is a sticky bean 💕

Littlebee1990 · 17/02/2021 07:59

@1992EM!!! You have made my morning. I have everything crossed for a sticky bean for you, I know how terrifying the first few days/ weeks are. Keep yourself busy but look after yourself ♥️

@littlebee1990 Thank you so much ❤ I have just changed my full shopping list to all things I have read are good for baby and ordered way too many tests 🤣🤣. I hope you and bubs are doing well 💗 I haven't told my oh as he is still sleeping and have ordered a baby bunny outfit as we have a rabbit to tell him. I am hoping it comes soon as I can't keep it to myself 🤣x

DoctorBambino · 17/02/2021 12:55

Hi ladies,
Just had a catch up on here! Congratulations for all the BFPS!

I sadly had an ectopic pregnancy, conceived in August and ruptured in September. So I'm a tube down and feel further away than ever from having a baby! They found I have endometriosis and pelvic adhesions during the surgery.

Like a few of you I've since had a hyfosy to check my remaining tube. Its apparently open but the ovary on that side is very small and only has 4 follicles, compared to 9 on my tubeless side. My amh levels and day 3 bloods are all good and husband has great sperm.

Unfortunately because the tube is open I dont qualify yet for nhs funding, despite it being very low odds of me naturally conceiving. I've now been ttc one year.

Currently 8dpo and hoping for a fucking miracle 🙄

My heart goes out to all of you still going through this shit 💔

1992EM · 17/02/2021 13:40

@DoctorBambino I am so sorry , that sounds horrendous 😢 I hope you are ok and hopefully you get your BFP soon x

dogmam · 17/02/2021 14:11

@1992EM omg congratulations!! I bet you are feeling amazing! Aww that sounds lovely how you are going to tell your other half, good looking keeping it a surprise! Anything you did different this month that may have helped?!

@DoctorBambino sorry you have had such a shitty time, totally understandable why you are feeling it a further away than ever now, on the positive side though if your partners sperm is good that's and your amh levels are good, then that's deffinetly in your favour. So are you under a fertility clinic now? My next clinic appointment for an internal scan and repeat SA for other half, is on 1st March, if either of those come back less than normal then we don't have to wait for 2 year of trying and we will be eligible to start treatment. If they do come back ok, then I'll have a Hycosy and again if it's ok will have to wait the full two year which will be October, but if they identify a problem then we will be eligible for treatment. It's seems like will do all the tests until they find an issue and a reason to start treatment earlier, so I'm just thinking, as there has been an identified reason as to why you may not concieve naturally, they may offer you a treatment plan.

@littlebee1990 how are you doing? When are you due? I bet you can't wait!

Littlebee1990 · 17/02/2021 14:21

@DoctorBambino That’s so shite, I’m so sorry. I hope things get better for you and totally understandable to be feeling how you’re feeling. I agree with @dogmam on the positives around your partners sperm and your levels being good, I’ll keep everything crossed for you.

@dogmam I’m glad to hear despite COVID that your tests are ongoing and I’m so positive and hopeful for you. I’ve got 12 weeks left, I honestly cannot believe how quick it’s gone. I’m really well, not had any sickness and feel “normal” tbh. I know I’m very lucky! Xx

dogmam · 17/02/2021 14:31

@littlebee1990 wow I can't believe how quickly it's went for you! Especially as we found out with you so early! It's funny now when you look at the first page of the thread how much things have changed, there's hope for us all! Take care and keep us updated x

DoctorBambino · 17/02/2021 14:46

Thanks all for your kind words 🤍

@dogmam yes we are with the local hospital fertility clinic and have also had a private consultation at Oxford fertility. I've got a meeting with the NHS consultant 10th March to see if they can offer anything treatment wise but the doctor who did my hyfosy didn't think they would because technically I can conceive and have done in the past year.

So back to waiting for now...So much waiting! Good luck with your scan and potential hycosy, mine was a bit uncomfortable but not too bad. I think we are probably going to look into privately funded IVF in the next few months if nothing happens.

1992EM · 17/02/2021 16:58

@dogmam Thank you . I actually feel really nervous and keep checking the test to make sure I didn't make it up . 🤣 We dtd on peak day, ovulation and 1 dpo and used preseed for them all . Normally we dtd before peak but then are too tired at crucial points. I did the legs in the air for 40 mins afterwards and kept active by going walks or walking on the treadmill. I did do HIT workouts until last week but don't want to over do it so just sticking to the treadmill or walking now. ❤ 💕

1992EM · 17/02/2021 17:10

@littlebee1990 that is so exciting. I can't believe you are at that point already ❤

Littlebee1990 · 17/02/2021 17:32

I honestly can’t believe how quick it’s gone! We used preseed the month we conceived too, I’d really recommend it.. and my legs were up in the air with a pillow under my bum.. so glam.

I genuinely think I did about 10 tests in the first week!! X
