@claireb707 so sorry. Take a few days just for yourself. It’s ok to be upset about it all. I don’t think I was prepared for how tough this was going to be!! Hope you get your bfp soon

Sleeeeeepy · 10/08/2020 17:44

I'm so sorry @claireb707 Sending love xxx

@claireb707

I'm out 😢

Absolutely devastated, can't stop crying, I really thought this was our month.

onto month / cycle 13,

I'm so sorry @claireb707 😔 hope you've had a chance to take some time to yourself today. Are you able to see a fertility specialist?Even just to take the pressure off yourself.
surreychick · 10/08/2020 22:43

AF just arrived after after weeks of nausea... so gutted as really thought this was it.

Now to try and figure out why I’m so nausea all the time... Confused

Fingers crossed for everyone else x

FridaKFangirl · 11/08/2020 10:48

Hey @claireb707 how are you doing today? Hope you’re ok x

FridaKFangirl · 11/08/2020 10:49

Quick question, I’ve heard lots of people mention ‘cheapy’ pregnancy tests on here..

Which ones are the best? For example accuracy, evaps etc? Could anyone share a link please? I’m curious... thanks

claireb707 · 11/08/2020 11:00

Thanks @FridaKFangirl it's amazing how much better I feel after a day off and a good night's sleep.

I'd been surviving on 5-6 hours a night for a few weeks and I think my period arriving yesterday just tipped me over the edge. I spent most of the day in tears but went for a walk with partner last night and took a sleeping tablet to ensure I slept and I slept from 10 through till 6.30 so must have been tired. Had a shower this morning and feel so much better. We've also extended our camping trip at the end of the month so I now have 11 days of work around the bank holiday.

FridaKFangirl · 11/08/2020 11:28

I’m so glad you are feeling better @claireb707. Sleep and mental rest always help me too x

mouldygrapes · 11/08/2020 11:28

That’s good @claireb707, you must have really needed the rest. And some time off around the bank hol will be good too. Also hope you get some answers from SA.

Sorry @surreychick - hope the nausea passes soon.

@FridaKFangirl I’m no expert but I think the cheapies are the strips similar to OPKs - I got a box of 40 ov strips and 10 hcg (ie pregnancy test) strips. Not sure about accuracy, I know they’re are easily flooded which invalidates the test

claireb707 · 11/08/2020 11:29

I have the wandfo strips, it's a box of 50 lh and 20 hcg tests from amazon

Loladoodle · 11/08/2020 11:33

Hello everyone 👋 sorry I’ve been awol for some time now.. have been trying not to allow ttc to consume my life..

Sorry to those having a tough time, it’s a difficult journey there is no doubt about it. Takes a lot of strength just to get through it each month. The only reason I’m not a complete basket case is because I let it consume me before for 3 years and I am determined not to do that again as it was really unbearable emotionally.

Just finishing off my FW here will squeeze a last dtd in tonight for good measure 😅 we have timed dtd correctly this month and managed quite a bit 🐇 but it’s been relaxed, fun and enjoyable, maybe even a little adventurous at times! I am determined to enjoy the trying and if it doesn’t happen for us at least we have had fun eh 😅

FridaKFangirl · 11/08/2020 11:43

Thanks @mouldygrapes and @claireb707.

Sorry if TMI...Can they be dipped or do you have to pee on them? Terrible aim you see 🤣

claireb707 · 11/08/2020 11:46

I always dip never aim 😂😂 I use the square plastic pot that my razor blades come in (pack of 8 blades)

Big enough not to pee on my hand, small enough to fit without spilling 😂😂

Glad I’m not the only one. I have what is now known as my ‘lady jar’ in the bathroom 🤣 a small jar with a wide enough neck that a spice came in ages ago!
LT103 · 11/08/2020 12:24

@Loladoodle it sounds like you’re in a good place now. This is only my 4th cycle but I do worry that as each cycle goes by I think about it all more and more. It’s hard to not be consumed by it all

mouldygrapes · 11/08/2020 12:50

@FridaKFangirl my LH and hcg tests came with a handy little plastic cup with a long handle! They are definitely meant for dipping not aiming as the MAX line is quite low and you need to be able to see what you’re doing

LT103 · 11/08/2020 13:02

@mouldygrapes mine too. I found out the hard way that aiming is not the best method 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Keepeas · 11/08/2020 15:23

Bumped into another acquaintance who is pregnant. Feels like a daily occurance at the moment. Hazard of ttc when youve got a toddler I guess, but it feels so unfair.
I'm pretty sure I'm out for this month, but obsessively symptom spotting. Does anyone know if implantation bleeding happens as late as 11dpo? Google says yes, but from what I've read successful pregnancies are always implanted by day 9 or 10.
I've stupidly focused on this month because I was pregnant with my little one by this point last time (cycle 9), and I was so sure it wouldn't take longer this time 😔

mouldygrapes · 11/08/2020 21:22

@Keepeas not sure re implantation. Also it sucks seeing pregnant people everywhere, sorry.

If I’m not pregnant this month (or even if I am) then I’ve really got to lose some weight. I feel so lumpy and awful, and it’s not healthy

Sleeeeeepy · 11/08/2020 21:35

My period is really strange this month. I bled for four days, then it stopped completely for two days, literally nothing, then it has started up again for the last two days, light flow but is really really dark brown (sorry if TMI 😬) My app is suggesting its fertile time but it would be totally vile to dtd. I'm using CB opks to make sure I don't miss anything but it's strange, anyone else had this?

Hi all, congratulations to all the bfp!!

I'm just pulling up a seat to wait out another cycle. I think I've missed ovulation this cycle, so expecting a BFN already and my ttw starts tomorrow Grin

SnowWhite1985 · 12/08/2020 02:10

Just catching up on messages - no idea where the last couple of days went! @claireb707 I’m so sorry 😭 glad you’re feeling a bit better and more positive. I’m the same way most months - it hits me so hard when there’s another bfn.
I’m now on CD25, 11 or 15 DPO depending which of my surges was ovulation. I feel kindof AF-like though so pretty sure I’m out again this month. I haven’t been POAS this cycle to see if BFP or BFN (other than one random optimistic day) as I think we got it all wrong so didn’t feel like there was hope. On to the next cycle, I suppose. Feeling quite sad, but not at my normal stage of depression / meltdown yet. Will hopefully get some of my test results back soon so at least that’s some info.
@FridaKFangirl I’ve ordered various cheapies online. I now try to stick to the wondfo ones because I’ve had mixed experiences with the standard cheapie ones That you see on amazon from loads of different suppliers. Some have been great then with others the lines have been so faint they’re barely visible. Maybe a bad batch but when you order 50 it’s not ideal! I definitely don’t aim either - dipping is best lol.
Hugs to all xx

mouldygrapes · 12/08/2020 08:30

Hey @SnowWhite1985 we’re at similar cycle points. I just got a negative test at 10 dpo (CD23) and wish I hadn’t bothered. Goals for next cycle will be to do the temp thing properly, and try not to stress. Also weight loss as mentioned, I’m sure that’s not helping

SnowWhite1985 · 12/08/2020 08:46

Hi @mouldygrapes
Great we are cycle-buddies. I’m really sorry for your negative test. It’s always so soul destroying hence why I didn’t really bother this cycle. In past cycles I’ve done 4 or 5 tests, which I think has negatively impacted my mental health! What length are your cycles normally? Mine are really consistent - almost always between 26 and 28 days so I’m expecting AF any day now. I have only done the temping thing this month and last month. Last month’s graph was pretty jaggedy but this month it allowed me to see the two LH surges. I’ve also found it useful for knowing when AF is starting as I saw a massive drop in temp last month the night before AF came on so it mentally prepared me slightly earlier!
DP and I have both put on weight during the lockdown too. Him more than me and he took it particularly hard not to be able to go to the gym. We’re trying to focus on nutrition and exercise and health, but it’s hard with this emotional rollercoaster! I binge eat whenever I get a BFN! I guess that’s another reason not to test! Best of luck with your weight loss - it’s so hard but hopefully it’ll be really positive health changes not only for ttc but also for your own wellbeing xx

Keepeas · 12/08/2020 08:48

BFN here too 😔 not unexpected, but im feeling pretty flat. Onwards to next month. Another pregnant mum at nursery this morning when I dropped off my little one. Even my OH has started noticing pregnant women everywhere!
