What I don't get is how pregnant I feel. Why are our bodies so cruel sometimes?

I'm sweating, so warm and I'm never warm. I'm nauseous all the time, I have left sided cramping not like a period. I have shortness of breath and I'm dizzy. I have blue veins all over my boobs which I've never noticed before but to be fair, I barely look at them. I'm bloated and gassy. I just feel generally rotten. And then several BFN later I know I'm not pregnant. I wiped this morning again and had loads of watery CM but it was slightly pink one time I wiped so I'm guessing AF is about to make an appearance. I literally have almost every symptom in the book and yet I'm not. I wish it was easier to decipher between pregnancy and AF symptoms 😞

MichT4 · 16/07/2020 13:38

@chloedancer897 I definitely agree. A goal this month and going forward is to book things and spend time doing things we love, the TTC will come alongside it.
Easier said than done on the stressful days, but living for TTC is not particularly joyous.
Definitely be kind to yourself, we have all been through so much, we deserve the happy times xx

chloedancer897 · 16/07/2020 13:40

@MichT4 absolutely. I'm doing the same. Let's look forward to things and not let TTC take over our lives. We have so much to be thankful for otherwise ❤️

Dipsy77 · 16/07/2020 13:53

@ManchNic congratulations on your BFP xx

VP91x · 16/07/2020 14:16

@MichT4 I think it is possible to ovulate so soon after a MC particularly where you had the spotting for a few days before hand.

If you're up to it and have stopped bleeding etc, you could start trying? Xx

Sorry that alot of you are having such a rough time at the moment, soon we will push through these times and have lots of positive stories to celebrate ❤️

I've decided that my opks must have definitely been detecting HCG over the past days/weeks just thought it might be interesting to note for others who are waiting for a bfn after mc.

I did a pregnancy test this morning with fmu and got a very faint positive on pregnancy test (10miu) and a 30 percent line (according to femometer) on opk. I did another opk around 2 hours later and again it was around 30%. After quite a lot of fluid I have done another pregnancy test that has come up negative and the opk is now a faint line. If the opks were really detecting Lh I would expect to see some kind of progression and it's too much of a coincidence I think. I'm hoping though that this means the hormones are leaving but I'll still be doing fmu pregnancy tests and continuing with opks to try and monitor what's happening.

Opks must pick up even very small amounts of hcg I think 🤔. Hoping to get a proper fmu negative and lh surge soon. It just shows as well that urine dilution does have an effect on the tests.

Northernsoul90 · 16/07/2020 14:26

Opks from the past week or two I've been doing them on and off

@Northernsoul90 you are right. I had positive poi's when my hcg test remained positive after MC . You need to wait for negative p hcg test to start with ppl tests . Hopefully it happens soon for you dear 😘

HopeForRainbowbaby · 16/07/2020 14:29

@Northernsoul90 my typing went wrong and some autocorrection ... you need negative hcg test before starting with opk tests

Northernsoul90 · 16/07/2020 14:29

Pregnancy tests from fmu and this afternoon. I hope this means I can get a negative again either tomorrow or Saturday morning with fmu.

Sorry for all the posts but thought it might be useful for others still waiting. It's so confusing the whole process has been a guessing/waiting game

@HopeForRainbowbaby Yes definitely, even though the pregnancy test was negative this afternoon the opk is still detecting some hcg which is interesting. What a slow process 🤦🏽‍♀️

Thank you 😘

Hey all!

Glad to have found a group that I fit into!

Have just decided to start trying again after 3 mc. We were referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic but obvs with covid our June appt was cancelled and the next is mid Oct and not with the specialist clinic anymore :( It's been a hard decision on what to do and how long to wait but we feel ready to try again.

It's been a rough ride, with 3 losses in 6 months and 10 days after the last we suddenly lost our beloved dog too. I had just come to terms with the losses, she licked my tears away and I was content with her being our family and then suddnetlu she was gone too :( On top of that, 4 of my 5 best friends (not the same friendship groups!) announced their pregnancies, two have now had theirs and two due, so this has been hard. I've felt sad and happy but jealous. It all took its toll on me. On top of existing on and off depression and sever anxiety this was all a bit much. I was off work for a little bit, just needed time to process everything and what had happened but I'm back now, feeling strong and hopeful!

For the first time in about 6 years (and after biopsy's and Lletz, cin3 and positive hpv) I've finally got the all clear from my last smear! No changes and hpv negative!! Finally!

We've got a new pup (well she's 6 months!) and life seems to be back on track again after a really dark time.

Just wanted to find a network to share some of the ups and downs with and see peoples good news after the heartache that loss brings

Xx

MichT4 · 16/07/2020 15:07

@VP91x The bleeding has stopped now so I think we probably will start trying again. I'll keep occasionally testing with the OPKs to see if it changes, but I do think that is a dark line alongside a negative PG test. Could be anything though, but might as well get the occasional DTD in, just in case.
I did wonder how the spotting might factor in to the timings, though it's still early for ovulation for me. Will just see how it progresses and go with the flow until I have a better idea.

How's your day?

@Sjk89 Welcome to the group and sorry to hear about your losses. Why are you not being seen by the specialists now?
What pup have you got? I've been looking as OH really wants one, but I always said baby first, pup after. I wonder now if it would be a great thing, but I've never had a dog so I have no idea what's involved.
I'd love to just take him to see a puppy, but it's a big and expensive commitment.
Great news on a clear smear - seems like you are getting your ducks in a row nicely xx

Northernsoul90 · 16/07/2020 15:23

@Sjk89 Welcome to the group. I'm really sorry for your losses and for the loss of your dog 😞 I have 2 dogs and they are like my babies so I understand how hard it must have all been. I'm glad you are feeling hopeful and positive now though!

That's rubbish about your apps being cancelled, have they said why it isn't with the specialist any more? It sounds as though you have a plan for moving forward which is good 😊

@MichT4 Ovulation can definitely happen a few days after a negative, fingers crossed for you! The line does look very dark to say you have also had a negative test so could hopefully be lh 🤞🏼

Sjk89 · 16/07/2020 15:38

Hi @MichT4 and @Northernsoul90 thanks for the welcome :)

The appt has been rescheduled at a general gynaecology clinic for 'cancellations' in a different hospital not the recurrent miscarriage clinic we were booked in at. I spoke with them and they said that all appts are on hold. I think our decision to try again is mainly determined by the waiting, like how long do you wait, the Oct appt could be cancelled or just be preliminary, then referred further then before we know it we are in 2021! It's difficult. I think the previous losses has helped me to understand what to expect and how to process stuff this time if that makes sense.

I hope you are both ok and are doing ok in you're journeys?

It was a hell of a shock with our dog, she was only 3 so still a baby herself! We couldn't go for the same breed, she was a basset and was really a human I swear! She had quite the reputation for being such a character with our family and where we live, people actually came to visit her when we found out she was ill and just before she passed away. We got a cockapoo (locally luckily from a lovely lady) just before lockdown and before the price of them rocketed too! They are a very big commitment, and if you could see the state of our kitchen floor currently with a destroyed tennis ball and numerous chewed flowerpots you would think twice! Nice little after work clean up job for me there. But the joy that they bring and the excuse to get out in the fresh air outweighs the shoes she's eaten and the time we've put into training with her. She's a star.
X

I'm so sorry to everyone feeling down this week. This journey really is a rollercoaster of emotions and just know that this will pass. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Feel free to vent here as much as you want - the support in this group is incredible. We are all here for you, always. 💕

Niisa · 16/07/2020 16:03

@SmileyT no I haven't yet, my GP has been quite useless since lockdown lol I'm gonna walk into the epu for a scan tomorrow morning. I'm officially 8 weeks today so FX. Last pregnancy didn't progress after 7 weeks so feeling a little anxious. Gurrrl time will fly believe me! I feel like I just tested the other day and I was only 3 weeks!

@ManchNic congratssss hun!!!!!

@Wishingfornumber2 Yeaah I did! He was so emotional! I can't believe it's been 4 weeks I've been away from you guys! Sorry I've neglected y'all

@2020wish thanks hun 💕

HopeForRainbowbaby · 16/07/2020 16:10

@Sjk89 welcome! ❤️I'm sorry about your losses ! What breed of puppy do you have ? Great news on your smear result.

VP91x · 16/07/2020 16:18

@MichT4 yeah it is a dark OPK pretty much almost positive also considering it was with a negative hpt too. Hope this means your cycles will be back to normal xxx

Days been okay! Had to go and pick something up from Battersea so that was a long drive 😴😴 going to have a tea and pick up Bella from nursery soon. How's your day?

Welcome @Sjk89 🥰🥰 so sorry about your losses and also that of your pup 😔 it is so sad to lose a pet. Lovely that you have a new dog to keep you company. Hope that your appts go through quickly or even better that you conceive naturally and have a healthy pregnancy xx

@Northernsoul90 so interesting to see the progression. Almost there with the complete negative, after so long🤞 xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 16/07/2020 16:26

@Northernsoul90 yeah I think it must be more than hcg in there, to not show at all on the PG test, but will see I guess. No expectations at the moment.
I reckon yours might be negative in the morning 🤞🏼 I really hope it is, you’ve waited long enough for it.

@VP91x I like a nice drive though, not that I know how nice that drive would be. Today has been ok, I keep thinking for sure it’s Friday. I am currently training in the garage, first session since I got the bfp so I am rather rusty. I fell over right at the start 😂. Trying to get some normality back

xx

VP91x · 16/07/2020 16:30

@MichT4 haha no it was a shitty drive, busy london streets, traffic etc. That's nice that you're training today, I haven't worked out all week 👀xx
