Oh @Tink20058 💕💕 that’s lovely to hear. Congratulations once again and I’m glad you have found the point at which you can enjoy your little bundle.

@1990EM yeah that’s where I’m at now. It’s happened and is happening but I’m ready to try and take some control over it, as much as I can.
I’ve called the doctor and am just going to ask if they’ll do the blood tests for my hormones. If no, I’ll just go private. I’m not waiting for people to be arsed. I don’t necessarily want the ones they do after 3, I just want to know my hormones are ok. I feel better that I’m ready this time with tracking a bit. Last time I didn’t do anything for the first 3 cycles and caught on the 4th when I did 🤞🏼🤞🏼

How are you getting on? xx

Lollol86 · 14/07/2020 12:22

@mumoftoddlerandteen it’s so hard when friends are pregnant, my best friend is pregnant and a lot further on then I would be but after my mc I avoided talking to her. Silly I know but I just couldn’t bring the subject up about her pregnancy. She totally understood, I’m back to being excited for her now but it’s still tough especially thinking we should be comparing notes. This thread is amazing and all the ladies are really supportive.

mumoftoddlerandteen · 14/07/2020 12:29

Thank you so much. Yeah it’s so tough isn’t it. I’m definitely avoiding pregnant friends a bit, I just think you have to do what feels right don’t you. I know I won’t feel like this forever, it’s just temporary so I’m just trying to look after myself a bit x

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 12:34

Thank you for sharing that @Lollol86. That’s what’s keeping us going. We want a baby, and it will be worth it eventually. I just hope 2 is enough for us 🤞🏼

fafi · 14/07/2020 12:36

@Pugprincess So sorry for your loss, thank you for sharing your story with us, it sounds really traumatic, glad to see you have made positive adjustments to your lifestyle it will pay off dividends. This is a great group and I am sure you will find support here. You analogy to winning the lottery for your numbers to be wrong is so accurate!!x

@Lynz2020 Sorry too for your loss, what a awful story! Do you have alternative hospitals near by for when you fall pregnant again? Hopefully all our delays mean the hospital / scan experiences get better from now and we don't have to go through so much alone.

@mumoftoddlerandteen sorry for your loss, like I've said above this is a great group and I hope you find the support that sounds missing sadly - it's so hard sometimes to see others go through their PG journey seemingly so easy.

@littletandme excellent line progression, how exciting!

@MichT4 after my MC at 6 weeks my ovulation was only a couple of days later than usual (CD1 I counted as my first proper day of MC bleeding). So fingers crossed you snap back to a normal cycle quickly. I admire your determination, keep us updated with how you get on pushing the drs!!!

@MrsK21 I will be checking in early tomorrow to see your stick hehe x

@2020wish Oh no I hope you feel better soon!x

@Tink20058 so pleased to hear all is well!x

mumoftoddlerandteen · 14/07/2020 12:37

Thank you. I give off a very much ‘I’m ok, it’ll be fine’ vibe to everyone so I think they just think it’s ok. Thank you xx

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 12:43

@mumoftoddlerandteen sorry to hear your story and welcome to the group.
When were you expecting AF? Would you normally have a 17 day LP? I know and understand why you don’t want to, but maybe it’s worth taking a test? I know you say you have irregular cycles but if you know you ovulated then your LP shouldn’t change. I hope it’s good news for you xx

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 12:45

Well @fafi, I am amazed and a bit speechless about what just happened.

The doc called back and he said there’s no reason I can’t have the hormones checked straight away. He’s put them on the system so I have to call day 1 of my first period and have the first ones, call him and he’ll put the next ones on the system to check if I’m ovulating. I’ll also have a scan and all the PCOS blood tests to make sure that is still under control.

Didn’t expect that at all but am so relieved xx

mumoftoddlerandteen · 14/07/2020 12:52

I’ve only been using ovulation tests for about three months now! One of those times I got pregnant and sadly had the mc and the other two times I had a luteal
Phase of 10 days for one and 16 for the other. I find it hard to know when I actually ovulate though because I get two smileys - so do I ovulate after first or second? We just tried to dtd lots around the time to help this month. I was waiting to test as seeing the bfn just gets me. But I’ve not been sleeping worrying about it! So I think me and Dh agreed to test tomorrow with fmu if the witch doesn’t show by then

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 13:00

@mumoftoddlerandteen I haven't used the CB ovulation sticks before, but I think that once you get the static, it stays for a couple of days. So I would imagine that the first static means ovulation will be in the next 12-36 hours.
Sounds like a good idea to test tomorrow. I totally get that you don't want to see a BFN - AF arriving somehow seems less unkind, but at least you will know, and it could be a good result!

MrsK21 · 14/07/2020 13:01

@MichT4 I'm so pleased your doctor has been helpful for once! That sounds like a good plan of action, I hope it either gives some answers or puts your mind at rest. I really hope your cycle gets back to normal soon though x
I asked about the same blood tests / scan and my GP didn't seem against it, so will go down that route too if I get no progression on my lines x

Welcome to the new ladies on the thread too, so sorry for everything you've been through. No one really talks about how hard the TTC journey can be xxx

mumoftoddlerandteen · 14/07/2020 13:02

Thank you so much. Yeah seeing a bfn is just so disappointing but then so is seeing af. At least I’ll know either way. I can deal with the sad easier than the not knowing if that makes sense x

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 13:02

Oh and I should add with my Dr experience, he asked when we starter TTC, I said October I came off the pill, and he included all these months in the 'trying for 12 months' even though I've had 2 MC. So he said if we get the tests done now, we are ready to be referred to the fertility clinic if no success.
I wish I'd said we started earlier now. Although I'd much rather not need to be referred of course

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 13:11

Thanks @MrsK21, I hope you get a nice strong line tomorrow.

I guess it's luck of the draw who you speak to. The lady I spoke to last time refused any blood tests until 6 months post MC.

I hope my cycles come back soon, but I'm glad that I don't have to wait for anything other than my first period to be seen. It's obviously important they are taken at the right time each month, so I have to be patient x

fafi · 14/07/2020 13:14

@MichT4 wow that's great! Good for you for asking. If we get a BFN this month I might ask if we can do the same. It's hormones I'm worried about - I have super light periods so worried hormones are causing my womb lining to not thicken enough which is causing MCs.

Pugprincess · 14/07/2020 13:31

Thank you @Northernsoul90 xxx

@mumoftoddlerandteen oh bless you, rant away that’s what we are here for. I’m new here too. It’s still really early days for us. I do dread getting period feeling that you describe though, it’s going to be really hard. Makes me really envious of others who can. I’ve told people too 😩

Firevie · 14/07/2020 13:36

@fafi @MichT4 - something just occurred to me. So, my spotting started last Saturday (so 10days ago). Spotting got gradually more and turned into bleeding. Going for ERPC this evening. Does that mean I might ovulate soonish after the ERPC? My cycles pre pregnancy have been quite long and irregular so not sure what my usual ovulation day is but I was just wondering if post ERPC I should use my cheap ovulation sticks to see if I can see ovulation in the next days/week or so? But can you check for ovulation if there is a bit of bleeding post ERPC? Sorry I am just so confused x

mumoftoddlerandteen · 14/07/2020 13:43

I’ve just been reading your posts. Will keep everything crossed for you and everyone else who is yet to hold a new little bundle. I think this is one of the most stressful things and then they say that stress doesn’t help so it’s a vicious cycle!

MichT4 · 14/07/2020 13:44

@Firevie sorry, I don't really know the answer to this. I think you will only ovulate once the MC is complete, so perhaps after your ERPC you will count bleeding from that as Day 1? I'm not sure. I am taking dthe first day of proper bleeding from the MC as CD1, so will maybe use OPKs from CD10/12. I usually ovulate much later but I don't want to miss it.
Also, I will do a PG test before I start OPKs to make sure it is negative.

Not sure if that helps, but maybe also worth asking the nurses at your appointment. Good luck with it x

Firevie · 14/07/2020 13:46

@MichT4 thanks for your reply. Yes, I will ask the nurses later today. Hope you’re okay! Xx

chloedancer897 · 14/07/2020 14:25

I know I'm a torture, I'm sorry guys.

11DPO today, cramping but not like period. It's dull, not really bad but it feels a wee bit like AF. I felt wet so I thought my period was coming but I checked and it's just a heavy discharge. And I'm in work today and I'm so nauseous. Do you think it's AF coming? I'm going to test tomorrow

2020wish · 14/07/2020 15:10

@chloedancer897 sounds promising and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s not af

2020wish · 14/07/2020 15:10

Maybe test now with an early detection test?

chloedancer897 · 14/07/2020 15:25

@2020wish going to hold on until tomorrow with FMU. I don't know if I can do another month of this 😞

mumoftoddlerandteen · 14/07/2020 15:28

I had cramping like that at about 11dpo, still no af for me and I’m on 17dpo. Haven’t tested yet though - too scared!
