Update on me CD12 - in FW waiting on ovulation. On Soy Iso this month and doing a (reduced) SMEP approach. 🥰

So I started taking the coQ10 about 4-5 days ago and I think my skin is reacting to it! I have very sensitive skin with eczema anyway and quite a few allergies but my eczema was clear beforehand and as soon as I started on it it's flared up pretty badly especially around my mouth. I've had a look online and rashes can be a common side effect apparently which I would never have thought... I'm going to stop it for a few days and see if it disappears.

Does anyone's OH take it? I've read it can be good for sperm quality so have been giving it to DH as well. Looks like he's going to have a lot to go through if I can't take it!

Hi @Northernsoul90 my OH is taking CoQ10 as well for the last couple of weeks as we'd read it helps sperm development etc too.
Oh that's rubbish if it's made you flare up! I really hope you find out what's causing it

@micht4 I was told to count mc bleeding as cd1 but defo start up with the cheapie OPKs once you get a negative pg test. I really admire your strength and how you're moving forward from this xxx

@VP91x I?3 just checked again and the brown spotting is still up there, although it's very watery and thin now. If it's AF, I'll welcome her with open arms 🤣😂 I think the last AF I had in May, I also spotted for a couple of days before. I did get the prescription for the Provera, and I actually went in and collected it last week, just haven't used it yet. I'm trying as far as possible to not put any synthetic hormones into my body. But we'll see, if AF doesn't come, I will have to. But I think they said I would need to go back in and get a blood test before I take it.

Good idea starting the SMEP a bit later, it really takes the life out of you 😫 hope this round has been a bit more relaxing for you. And Yay for the static smiley!!! What a relief 😊 happy dance!

@VP91x yay that SI is the dream 🥳 what did your cheapies look like? And great work OH getting it done in the advert break 😂 makes sense with the nausea I get that around ovulation, you going to do the next 2 days then be done with it as long as you get your temp rise? You started on CD12 didnt you, so hopefully OH has still got some steam!! Ahh this means you'll be testing next weekend and I'm so excited... bloody temps better do their thing x

@Northernsoul90 yep my OH took COQ10 👌🏾 how are your opks looking now? I got my peak opk about 3 days after my last faint positive so hopefully ovulation is soon for you x

@SmileyT cheapies have just been the same as they have been throughout, they've stayed at 40-60% for a few days. Maybe I will see a peak on them today. Yesterday I was a bit crap with them because where it was so humid, I drank alot of water because of the headache too so I peed alot more than usual, might have missed it, not sure.

Yeah today and tomorrow as long as temp rises. Annoyingly, Bella was up a couple of times in the night so I've got a temp at 1.50am which is 36.42 and then a 04.42am temp of 36.23 🤷. Might have her sleep in my bed the next couple of nights so I'm not disturbed and can temp accurately. Praying my temps rise!!

@Rainbowhope11 ah so annoying AF still isn't there 😭😭 when will you wait until? Ah, makes sense that they would do a final test before you take it. Thanks!! So pleased it wasn't so late this month.

I've not taken the supplements but that sucks that they've made you flare up. Definitely stop taking them and see what happens hope it gets better soon xx

@fafi haha yeah I think most of my close family will know were TTC as I told them about MC , shes currently at my mums so not sure if she will be coming here or not but yeah I'd probably give her some warning haha. Xx
@VP91x thanks 😘 Feeling okay , as I never got a peak reading this "TWW" has gone very fast as I've just thought to myself I'm out this month, even though i have this slight hope i maybe ovulated earlier and missed it or missed it on opks but think i kinda just feel like i wont be lucky this month so TWW hasnt dragged at all. AF should be due around friday and I'm kinda just waiting to see if she shows up when due and if I didnt ovulate hope my cycle hasnt gone weird or something . I do kinda check my cervix still and the main thing I can actually feel is reliable is I could feel it was open around fertile week despite no peak and now it is closed... so at least that seemed to be doing what it was supposed to I guess xx how are you ? X x

@VP91x ahh why is she not sleeping through? Does she just go through phases? Yeah really hoping there is an obvious rise this month, although with my weird temps last month I was so obsessed with trying to pinpoint ovulation TWW went quicker 🤪

I'm all good this morning, feeling very normal this morning apart from the early wake up but I keep trying to remind myself last time I didn't take a test until 6weeks so my symptoms couldn't have been that overwhelming then either... I'm having the most vivid dreams/ nightmares though which aren't helping with sleep 😩

@Renna I'm glad this TWW is going quick and I've got everything crossed for you, you really do deserve this x

Hey ladies, hope ur all ok and im good thanks for asking @renna, got to spain sunday and its so hot we actually got a little bit burnt yest so def sitting under an unbrella today as i didnt even feel it and im olive skinned and never burn really but me and my mum are haha x its been lovely though just chilling here and got a few more days to go and then back for my 12 week scan on monday but got my cervical scan a week tomorrow and thats the important one to see if ill need the stitch or not. X x just read to see where ur upto, and ur in ur tww still, just hope af doesnt show, despite u not being hopeful i hope its a nice suprise x x

@MichT4 glad to hear you're feeling positive. There is definitely a switch that goes off during this process and I'm glad you've found it.

I wasn't gonna DTD straight after MC but after getting my first ever positive OPK it was hard to resist! So see now you feel. At 8DPO I've had some sensations so 🤞🏼

@VP91x I know, super frustrating 😫😫 but, last time I had this long of a cycle, I conceived straight after. so, I'm going to hope that the wait is worthwhile 🤣 I'm going to wait until the end of this week before I make a decision. But I'm honestly in no rush right now because I have so much going on with work.

Thanks @fafi. I don’t know when to start OPKs. @MrsK21 you said after a negative but I usually ovulate stupidly late so I could end up doing them for weeks. I reckon if I did a pg test now it would be negative, but I keep missing FMU, and I’m still bleeding so will try and catch it when it finishes.

I hope it doesn’t sound insensitive but we are ready to jump back in. I just hope I ovulate this first cycle. Fingers crossed your sensations are a positive sign

Hello all. I’ve found this forum as I feel I need some support from ladies who have also experienced miscarriage. I hope you don’t mind me joining. In a nutshell myself and husband had tried on and off for 5 years (I say on and off as sometimes more intensely testing trying etc and other times just letting things be but no contraception that whole time). We had hospital tests and all unexplained infertility no problems found. We were just about to start IUI cycles and I fell pregnant during lockdown naturally. I honestly believe stopping work and stress did it for me so I think I know where I went wrong (I was working two jobs and long days-one being agency and neither under contracts so financially I never could feel secure). I’ve since left both jobs and got myself one contracted job in a school as a teaching assistant for next year so I know get my evenings and holidays back which I hope will help my fertility as I don’t think I was eating or sleeping properly and I’ve read this can affect the quality of your lining for pregnancy. Anyway...unfortunately towards the end of June I was getting brown discharge that was increasing, started off when wiping after wee, then it was going in toilet bowl during wee, dripping on floor when I stood up, I just knew something wasn’t right so I went for a private scan, we were so happy and reassured as scan showed no bleeding in uterus and a 6 week 4 day baby with a heartbeat. I was 7 weeks 3 days at the time so I was a bit concerned to be measuring smaller but people reassured me that they catch up. On Monday last week I had some pains that felt strong but I rested up and tried to keep calm, they didn’t last too long. Then Tuesday the pains were bad and every 5 mins like contractions and lasted hours, I’ve toilet visit my brown had red in. I rang doctors and they booked me into the epau at hospital for Thursday morning. Wednesday I didn’t get pain all day but I did have red mucus when wiping. By 9pm that evening the pains returned and were constant. I couldn’t sleep with them so I rang 111 and explained that I was in pain and wouldn’t be able to get myself to hospital in the morning. They sent an ambulance, half hour passed and nothing arrived, I went for a wee and the bowel was full of bright red blood this time, then I really panicked and rang 999 as 111 had told me to if heavy bleeding started. Ambulance came much quicker then and took me to hospital on my own due to covid (were in Leicester so on lockdown again). I waited in a little room and made a few toilet trips where I passed more blood. Unfortunately the nurse didn’t tell me till morning to use a cardboard bowel in toilet-I didn’t know this was my 1st pregnancy and 1st miscarriage! She informed me I had passed a big clot so I wondered if that was my baby and even worse I thought it’s been flushed away 😢 Hours later they scanned me and told me everything had gone-complete miscarriage. They told me they thought I was past the worst of it. Turns out they were wrong. Since then at home the pains been the worst. Worse than the night I was taken in. I had 2 hot water bottles, ibu and paras, then co-codamol. I was screaming in pain. Sunday night I believe I passed my placenta which made me wonder if baby was still there after all. Yesterday morning I went for a wee and heard a plop. I pulled it out and I’m pretty sure it was the sac. I had googled and checked with friends/relatives. My sacs amniotic fluid wasn’t there and I couldn’t see the baby but it had been inside me dead for probably a good week so it’s not a surprise. I put it in water in Tupperware and placed in fridge till husband got home from work. I called my Vicar and he came and did a burial with us in our garden which meant the world to give our baby a proper send off. Baby is now buried in a little box I made for it under a rose bush my mother in law bought us for a memorial. Today is a new day and I hope I can start to feel better and I’m so glad my baby wasn’t flushed away at hospital. I’m so glad it’s buried here with us and we have somewhere to sit and reflect. We are desperate to ttc ASAP. I’ve been advised to wait for a period mainly due to dates but in my head I think it’s a good idea to let your body have one cycle and clear anything else out. I plan to use my summer holiday to get in new better routines ready for when school starts back up. Lots of long dog walks for exercise, healthy eating and solid sleep routines. The money I would have spent on my ten week scan I will use to buy a blender to make myself healthy smoothies and so on. I pray we all get a happy ending and our rainbow 🌈 babies 👶🏼 🙏🏻

@pigprincess sorry for your loss, it's a horrible thing to go through. I got pregnant straight away in January, found out in Feb. Started getting cramps in my back in April Sunday 12th with a tiny bit of spotting so rang epu who said as long a it wasn't red it was normal, then Monday came and it was a bit more then spotting so rang again and they said i had my 12 week scan on the Thursday so just wait. By Tuesday I was having painful cramps so went to bed early and woke up Wednesday at 3am and ran to the toilet where I felt a lump come out with blood. I rang the epu again and they said i needed to come in but on my own because of the virus. My husband drove me in and I had to go into a&e where a nurse rang the epu who let me go up, then I had an instantly checkup where my cervix was slightly opened and was told I was miscarrying and I should come bk later in the day for a proper scan as it wasn't fair to make me go in the next day for my 12 week, I rang a few hours later and it was like I was never there, they didn't have me in system or who saw me on the morning. I went bk and had a vaginal scan where is miscarried and the baby was 8 weeks 4 days but my body had missed it. When I got home it was a couple hours later I started to miscarry everything, it's get cramping then a feeling that I had to go to the toilet and clumps would come out. By Thursday I was just bleeding which lasted a few days. So once I stopped we tried again but I was spotting after every time so I rang the gp who said i might have an infection and have me a thrush tablet. It seemed to be OK for a few days then started again so they gave me tests to do at home and send bk in, they gave me antibiotics which I think worked. So we've been trying properly again since May after my 1st proper period and still no luck.

@pugprincess so sorry to hear your story. It’s lovely you were able to give your little one a resting place and memorial.

Sorry to hear both you and @Lynz2020 have had your losses and then difficult times with the MC. Fingers crossed there’ll be rainbow babies all round soon 🌈🌈🤞🏼🤞🏼

@MichT4 sorry to clarify I started using the cheap OPKs from when I stopped bleeding and started trying properly when I got a negative test. I agree about using loads of OPKs. I got to about CD32 and only then got some "highs" so just used my pack of 50 cheapies during this time to get an idea of what my body is possibly doing.

It's not insensitive at all to start trying again. You have to do what's right for you as a couple. I felt the same after my mc too x

@Renna I hope you did ovulate, you've been so regular so it would be frustrating if you didn't. The TWW does go quicker if you are not sure what has happened. Fingers crossed for you though. Yeah I'm alright! Glad to have got an earlier ovulation it seems. Just waiting to confirm with temps xx

@SmileyT vivid dreams are a symptom and the insomnia in general so, don't fret! I didn't get much sickness until like 8w and then I was awful with it until 20w. It's the tiredness/hunger that kicks in first I think!

Yeah she goes through phases, she can be a bit of a fusspot with her sleep sometimes. If she sleeps in my bed she normally doesn't make a peep so think I'll do that for the next few days just so I'm not deciphering four temps each morning 😅

@Pugprincess I'm so sorry for what you have gone through and you had so much pain too. I'm glad you have somewhere to go and think about your baby - it truly is the worst experience. I hope you start to heal physically & emotionally soon so that you can TTC when you feel ready xx

Has anyone's periods changed since mc? Mine came beckl I used to get a sore chest leading upto it and I would start getting light cramps a day before. Now I don't get a sore chest and my cramps are awful and my flow seems heaver then it has ever been. This month I got cramps a few days before and twinges so I thought I was getting lucky, then i missed my af date but negative test. It decided to come 3 days late and I feel nauseous with the cramping this month.

Does anyone have any recommendations on cheap opks?

I’m 10days past ovulation and feeling very periody so pretty confident I’m going to come on down and to start getting ready for my next cycle?

Also if you have tried smep, do you have any tips? I’ve seen some of you say it’s been a bit stressful so is it worth starting lasted than day 8?

@Lynz2020 sorry to hear about your experience we sound quite similar. Feel like it’s been a horrendous experience but covid just has added a whole other layer. Felt awful for my husband, I think in these situations men already feel useless and helpless and now it’s like they are even less important but I obviously understand the need for the rules. It’s just all so horrible. I don’t think either of us received the best hospital treatment really 😔 I hate that they don’t seem to treat it as important until baby passes a certain age. I know there’s not a lot they physically do to help at that stage but emotionally and mentally for definite especially when we can’t have our partners there. I really pray we get our happy ever after soon. I’m 32 and really don’t want to waste anymore time x
