Ovulation buddies starting July 8-14

Hey everyone,

Anyone else just started ovulation or about to start in the next week. Let's start a chat and keep ourselves busy as we head through ovulation and the dreaded 2WW.

Little about me this is my 2 cycle at TTC Baby no.1 I'm about to start ovulation on fri or sat, so going to make the most of this week. I've ordered some IC ovulation sticks hopefully will arrive in next couple days and I will give them a try out. What is everyone else doing to prepare themselves for ovulation???

I definitely need to drink more water! I only drink about 1L a day I think I will try the OPK's and see how I get on with them! My OH is a bit of an eager beaver when it comes dtd so im hoping that will help with ttc! Same here! We waited because of our wedding but now its been post poned we thought we may as well try?

I've given up caffeine in my coffee and am on decaf but I can't give up Diet Coke/Pepsi max it's so hard. It gets me through life! I also gave up drinking over a month ago in preparation for TTC.

I'm finding it hard to do any day to day tasks with a BFP on my mind all the time! I work 13 hour days at the moment and should be so distracted but it's all I can think about! Really hoping for an implantation bleed so that I can have some hope.

Also does anyone know how soon your resting heart rate rises when pregnant?

@Rjbp20 I would usually have between 2/3 coffees a day sometime double strength if it's a long day. Every now and then we would drink coke so I know I have definitely lowered it.

@Jemmy94 yeah that's what I'm trying to do drink more water best for both of us haha all my other friends already have children and my best friend rang me last month and thought she was pregnant ( first month we started trying I was in my first TWW) was happy for her but like what about me.. turns out she wasn't but she wasn't trying either so she was happy about the result here I'm sitting thinking I wish I am I wish I am...

@Gab101 I cave ever now and them and grab a bottle of coke last month when AF arrived I was like takeaway for dinner coke on the side !!! Haha 😂 I know it's very hard to get through each day without thinking about the BFP I'm only working 3days per week and I spend 90% on my phone asking Dr google. I keep checking for implantation bleeding as well but I've read only a small % of women actually get it. Same with symptoms spotting most women don't feel anything til after they missed AF but 🤞 something happens for us. BFP will come next week 😊

@Tiff94 Aww, that's like my sister bless her she had been ttc for 18 months and finally found out she was bfp in January she's due in 8 weeks! Was so happy for her and my man's best friend just found out they are 12 weeks again so happy for them! But I'm like me me me next 🤣

I've bought the OPKs off amazon they should be here tonight (gotta love prime)

Yeah but I'm bad I have a can a day! So I chose to cut out coffee over that because at least I can have decaf and sort of trick my brain 😅 yeah we can't win, I work tons and can't get it off my mind, you work slightly less and can't get it off your mind! Well I've got a great feeling for all of us. This one is going to stick! Let's think positive and let it happen. ♥️

If AF comes then this will only be my second since my coil was removed so maybe my body just needs two cycles to normalise 🥴🤞🏽

Hope you all are doing good.
After my MMC(April 6), after ovulation I always have this sharp twinging pain on left side of lower abdomen. This pain comes on ovulation and be there till my Periods. Once I get period pain goes off and comes back on next month ovulation and stay for another 2 weeks.
This is my 3rd cycle of TTC and my Ovulation was on CD10 tbat is july 9th.
I dont know if it's something to worry about or quite normal or is it reason for me not being able to conceive in last two months?

@Jemmy94 yes thank god for amazon prime haha I've even got the IC pregnancy test for using next week haha 😂 if AF is late I will treat myself to a FRER

@Gab101 I know it's so hard to give up things we love why do you think I thought to see if everyone else has or is going to. I really hope this one does stick for all of us. Positive vibes all around.

Hey 👋 @Shinea fingers crossed 🤞 for you this month also sounds like you are similar days to the rest of us. Do you plan on testing or waiting it out for AF?

@Tiff94 I never knew there was such a thing 🤣 When does one need to use an IC?
I'm tempted to buy a BBM... but I have a regular oral thermometer too...

@Tiff94 maybe i will wait till AF to come, but more than TTC I am worried about this sharp pain on one side for 2 weeks. Which makes me think if something wrong internally. Maybe I ll book an appointment this weekend to get it tested?

@lastbany we are also trying for our fourth baby. I've done this 3 times before and still have trouble remembering the early stages lol

Not really sure when I ovulated but I suspect it was sometime in the last week. Fingers crossed!

@LorrieLu how old are yours? Mine are 17/12 7 months 🤣🤣

@Jemmy94 i use them instead of the expensive pregnancy tests. I got them off amazon last month so I could start testing before AF came I got like 30 test for £3. then I got some in with the pack of opks I will post a pic they similar design to the opks I know they will ease my mind a little next week haha 😂 maybe grab so too if you like. I'm thinking if this isn't the month to get a BBT too it's in my amazon basket haha along with FRER one will be order next week haha 😂

@Shinea im not sure about the pains the full two weeks I always get ovulation pains and the AF cramps during I had a couple days of cramping after ovulation this month which is unusual for me. I would suggest speaking with your gp they will know more or maybe do a test for you to check everything is okay. Best of luck maybe you just are sensitive and can feel the whole process from ovulation til AF

@Jemmy94 surely it's strange that it's our own body but never listen to us 😅😅
@Tiff94 sensitive yes I guess so!! because I can easily predict my AF 2 days before. I spoke to my Gp and she said not much to worry but we can have a scanning she said. Maybe I ll get it done if it's not my month this time.
Regardless for both I have to wait till AF to arrive.

Sorry if TMI but we always finish in a certain position and I lay on my back for at least 10 mins after. Haven’t got a clue if it makes any different.

@Shinea I'm the same I feel when AF is coming and when ovulation is close. I had problem when I changed from the bar to the pill and then went off them completely and got very intuned with my body to know what's going on after month month of AF constantly but now I'm regular 27/28days every month 6day AF and always know when I'm ovulating and which side haha 😂 but they took 2years to happen. Our body doesn't listen to us we have to listen to it 👂

@Rjbp20 ive been laying down on my back for a good 10/15mins afterwards as well not sure if it helps but we shall see. I've taking conception vitamins and so is hubby. Otherwise we having tried much but this is only our 2cycle TTC.

My kids are 10, 8 and 5. Would love one more so will see what happens.

I have recently come off the pill so I don't have a regular cycle yet. Just going off signs I have been experiencing I think I may have ovulated over the last week. If it doesn't work out for us this month hopefully my cycle goes back to normal.

@Tiff94 ooooh they look like a cheap and easy way of testing! My OPK pack comes with 20 sticks but might need more if I get bfns 🤣 Im ready to buy one too! I dunno whether to wait and see how i get on with the opks first 🙈

@Jemmy94 you due to ovulate today yeah ? Have you had any EWCM yet? When the arrive tonight test and see you may have already had your LH surge but still get to DTD you never know. I only used about 4 opks this month as the arrived the day before ovulation. I went through like 8 pregnancy one last month though as I started tested at 10DPO I will have enough for next week if AF arrives will order more for next month but have plenty opks if I need hopefully not. I'd thought about the BBT but need to track before ovulation as well to see the data so that's why I'm waiting til AF or not.

@Tiff94 right I always had regular cycle with 26-28 days. So Its day 16 and still long 10 days to test anything, but I feel all of the past 3 months were same with all the symptoms.

@Tiff94 I am yeah, I've been having cramps that feel like short stabbing pains similar to period pain since Monday so I think it is today! I find it so hard with the CM to tell due to dtd every other day it all gets mixed up 🤣🙈 I'm on day 14 of my cycle and the cramping has been intense so im assuming I'm ovulating? I will do a test tonight and tomorrow lunch time with my OPK and see what it says.

I hope you don't need them next month everuthing crossed for you! Ah, i will wait until my next cycle to try BBT 🙈 unless I catch this month! There is hope! AF isn't due until 31/7

@Jemmy94 I understand with the CM can get confusing 🙈 if you got pains then definitely ovulation isn't far of best of luck to you this month.

@Shinea I'm day 18 will start testing in 6days more then likely I thought I felt symptoms last month but nothing this month so who knows really.
