Hey everyone,

Anyone else just started ovulation or about to start in the next week. Let's start a chat and keep ourselves busy as we head through ovulation and the dreaded 2WW.

Little about me this is my 2 cycle at TTC Baby no.1 I'm about to start ovulation on fri or sat, so going to make the most of this week. I've ordered some IC ovulation sticks hopefully will arrive in next couple days and I will give them a try out. What is everyone else doing to prepare themselves for ovulation???

Hey!

Hope it's ok if I join in on the convo. Grin

I'm 3 DPO TTC #1. Had my mirena IUD removed, got my first period and then started and used clear blue digital OPK's, detected my surge and now in the TWW! Reallllly hoping I'm pregnant.

So far I've had extremely weird dreams, had major fatigue and sore breasts. Hoping they are connected to a little baby inside! DaffodilFlowers but I know it's super early.

Baby dust to you all! Love reading through everyone else's stories xo

@Rjbp20 yea we were due to get married in August so we are trying a bit earlier than we had planned, but because we are getting married next August we have a window to get pregnant as I don't want to be due or heavily pregnant for the wedding.

Do you have another date planned?

X

Tiff94 · 14/07/2020 07:48

@Rjbp20 try using femometer and Ovia they both seem good like @Alice222 Saïd femometer is great for scanning in your OPKs I found it great this month. If you both want to try Ovia go for it I live it because when you enter symptoms it actually gives you information about it will post a pic to show you . Definitely hoping for a speedy TWW either Thought I'm sure I will start testing in 7days haha 😂 sorry you hear about the weddings girls. So many people have had to cancel or delayed because of coronavirus. Myself and hubby were suppose to travel to Australia in September for my brothers wedding he had to cancel also now no idea when it's happening and not sure I will be able to go once we get pregnant but I couldn't wait any longer. We were going to start trying once we moved back to Australia and got settled now that's been delayed no idea how long so that's when I told hubby I want a baby now. Haha 😂

Hey 👋 @Gab101 welcome to the group 👋

@BabyH88 ah of course! It’s currently this September but I imagine we’ll postpone again. Same plan though, we’d the. Push it back to August and hopefully manage to have a baby in the meantime x

Rjbp20 · 14/07/2020 08:05

@Tiff94 ah brilliant. Thank you will definitely give them both a go!

Oh Noo! It’s really affected your plans too. It’s just crazy isn’t it x

Gab101 · 14/07/2020 08:08

Hey! Sorry I am trying to work out how to use this properly I'm new here! ConfusedGrin

Anyone due AF on 25/7/20? I wish it was later and I could test! I'm so inpatient. What date is the earliest we can test?

Hope everyone has a lovely day! X

Tiff94 · 14/07/2020 08:09

@Rjbp20 I think it affected everybody is some way. Hopefully you get them back on track and they end up being beautiful wedding days girls. My brother is thinking about having just the ceremony with my mum and her parents and then have a big party later on when everyone can come.

Hey @Gab101 I'm due either 24/25 I will start testing on 20th maybe might try one on the Sunday. I know I'm so eager to try testing but I know that baby probably hasn't implanted yet. Last month I started testing early and went through about 7or 8 test lucky on IC (one steps) but every time you get a BPN it hurts so try holding off as long as you can just so you don't disappoint yourself. That's why I'm going to try hold off til the 20th even then that's probably still too early but we shall see. I feel like maybe something is happening this month but don't want to get excited as I thought I was last month and was so disappointed when AF arrived.

That was suppose to be BFN sorry 😐 not bpn

Really sad to read about all the delayed weddings ☹️ we were incredibly lucky and got married end of Feb before everything happened. I can't imagine how awful it would be to have to push it back after all the planning! I do like the idea of some people having a smaller ceremony then having a bigger party later!

ElzP · 14/07/2020 20:56

Hey everyone!
So sad reading everyone's weddings have been postponed Sad

How's everyone getting on?

I think I ovulated early - by 1 day - fingers crossed DTD the day before had some effect as he was working late Grin
Here goes my TWW

Xx

Rjbp20 · 14/07/2020 21:43

Thanks ladies! It’s been so hard to deal with. Obviously not as hard as people losing family members etc but as you say, all that planning and then it doesn’t happen.

@Alice222 so glad you managed to get your special day ☺️

This will make you laugh.. AF is due in 10 days so unsure if the mood swings are due to that or what.. but I had an absolute MELT DOWN earlier because my dishwasher didn’t clean my dishes properly. 😂🙈

BabyH88 · 14/07/2020 23:23

This is only our first month of trying and I feel like things are against us already, tried to bring my smear test earlier so than we can DTD when the app says I am ovulating. But who knows when I am ovulating! Wanting to keep DTD natural and not scheduled but when you know it's coming up it's hard not to.

Dealing with postponing the wedding was hard then my Nan passed away last week. Surely we are due some positive news!

Sorry to bring the mood down x

Alice222 · 14/07/2020 23:23

@Rjbp20 😂 that did make me laugh. Sounds like a legit reason to have a melt down!

Alice222 · 14/07/2020 23:26

@BabyH88 I'm so sorry to hear that! I really do hope you get some good news soon!

BabyH88 · 14/07/2020 23:27

@Alice222 thank you I am usually such a positive person but it takes its toll.

Jemmy94 · 15/07/2020 00:10

Hi! I'm very new to all the lingo just getting my head round all of the tracking Smile me and my partner are 26 ttc baba uno, flo app is suggesting I'm due to ovulate 15/7/20 and my usual cycles last between 28 to 35 days on average 32 days with AF regular 7 days.

What ovulation sticks would everyone recommend?

Tiff94 · 15/07/2020 06:30

@ElzP fingers crossed 🤞 for you TWW driving me crazy already haha AF due in 9days

@Rjbp20 sorry to hear about your meltdown that definitely happens I've been there before try not stress too much over the small things If bad things happens

@BabyH88 I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences for you and your family. I know what your talking about with scheduling DTD both hubby and I don't like doing that. I try to just initiate it on the days I know I'm most fertile and he king of has a clue but we try keep it no stress just enjoyment.

Welcome @Jemmy94 I'm 26 to trying for our 1st. I just started trying some cheap ovulation sticks from amazon with the app femometer. Thought I'd try those before actually spending ridiculous amounts of money on clear blue. You can get back of 20/30/50 for only £ 3/7 and the app femometer lets you scan the sticks reading into it and shows you what percentage your in low high or peak fertility. So if you wanted to try them like I did go for it. But if you ovulation is today wait to see if AF arrives then get some next month that's what I did last month. Xxx best of luck

Lady anyone else already given up certain foods/drinks/bad habit yet? How are you finding it. I already started to lower my caffeine intake to only 1 cup a day try for not at all but I find most days I need my morning coffee which is definitely what Im struggle with giving up. I've stopped drinking sweet drinks juices, fizzy drinks ect. As I hear to much insulin intake is bad for fertility. I don't drink alcohol so that doesn't bother me. Anyone else stopped, struggling with or haven't bothered yet to give these up yet? I think I will eventually switch to decaf or try go completely off caffeine. I just find each morning I'm like gimme gimme anyone else relate?

Hey All,
This is our 1st month of trying since coming off the coil last month! I had no idea if after the coil the bleed I had straight away was a period but going off the Clue app it stated I was due to ovulate at the weekend and funny enough I just took a boots ovulation test and it was right! I knew I was anyway as I had pain in my left ovary! We're holding out testing till the 25th July. Can't wait to see all your results!

Jemmy94 · 15/07/2020 08:48

@Tiff94
Amazing I will be using those next month if it isn't our month this month! Its really frustrating we've been ttc since June last year but only tracked using app so I'm hoping by using the sticks I can get more accurate results!

I'm not sure about the giving up sweet stuff haha! I drink a lot of squash but wonder if I should drink more water? I also have a gluten intolerance so I follow a gf diet no idea if that affects fertility?

@HollowayL30 Hello!! I hope your test brings you some luck!!

Tiff94 · 15/07/2020 09:06

@HollowayL30 welcome to group. Fingers crossed for you this month as well 🤞

@Jemmy94 I drink some squash as well but trying to drink more water as it's suppose to be good for fertility as well. Not sure about the gf diet if it will affect I don't think it would. I tried first month without OPKs and now this month I tried with but only tested 2days and never saw my peak but I as also trying the SMEP to see how we go this month. I've been wanting to start trying for over a year but we have held off til now. So I'm super eager to have a baby 👶 haha 😂

@Tiff94 I haven’t given anything up yet however that’s definitely something I’ll do if it doesn’t work this month.

Would you say you drank a lot of caffeine before?
