Got solid smiley opk this morning and peak cheapie. First time got them in mot ING, normally I get them at 4 ish in the afternoon

Can anyone shed any light on when I ovulated am likely to ovulate? I'm using the two fertile days clear blue OPKs so not the advanced that have a flashing smiley. I had my second smiley face today. Will I ovulate on a day with a smiley face or the day it goes back to a blank circle? I can't find any information about it anywhere?

You normally ovulate around 24 hours after the first smiley face. You don't need to test again once you got the smiley.

@lucieloos is that the same for the non advanced clear blue tests - sorry I'm struggling to work out what they're called but they're not the ones with that flash.

@lucieloos I've just read the instructions and it says to stop testing once surge is picked up 🤦🏻‍♀️. So I'm guessing if my surge happened yesterday, ovulation is today.

@kirinm yes that's right once you get the smiley face you know your surge is starting and you will ovulate in next day or so and no need to test again then.

So I thought that my spotting turned into AF but it didn't, I just keep spotting on and off, likewise getting lower back ache on and off. According to one app my Af was due Thursday the 25th( first time using this app), my original app that I've used for yonks is saying af is due today. I had very light pink spotting this morning and nothing since.
I was wondering if I should log it as a weird period. I've never spotted before AF or have back pain. I came off the pill in may, so it's probably ducked up my cycle.
Currently 17dpo.
Spotting started 13dpo in the evening.

@happyhappy37. I had same last cycle for no reason. I’ll usually spot for a day before af but last cycle I had cramps for couple days then spotting for 5 days then eventually af cake but it was super light and only lasted 2-3 days. Looking into it I think it’s common and it happens and no real reason. I was worried I wasn’t ovulating or something strange but tracked this cycle and all fine so who knows!

@LT103 good to know it's a common thing. It's the first time am experiencing it.

@happyhappy37 me too which is why I spent so long googling it and asking people. I guess I’ll see what happens this cycle

Thanks @selina37, thats really interesting. I'll give my GP a call next week. Thats far more than I expected to get from the NHS. Hopefully its the same in my area. I've heard of quite a few women getting BFP after a HyCoSy. Any idea how long you might need to wait for your scan?

@FridaKFangirl it basically just needs to be the urine after your longest sleep (at least 4 hrs). So if you're likely to have to get up for a wee during the night can you save a urine sample in a clean jar or something to test in the morning?

I've had to do that a few times as the Clearblue fertility monitor will only let me test during my set window but I sometimes need to go before that!

Hi again everyone! Great to see some BFPs on the list! Currently on 5 or possibly 6/7dpo, not sure. So much waiting 😌

I tested again today. Negative .
Probably to early still. Ovulated 19th.
But I have stomach ache and backache. AF maybe on its way soon xx

@Annna41 I'm not sure on the wait as i got referred close to the start of lockdown. But I think after the referral is received, it's probably about 6 weeks to the first appointment. First, me and partner had a telephone appointment with a specialist nurse. I had a blood test for FSH just last week, now I'm waiting on scan and then the hycosy. I've heard the hycosy can 'flush' the tubes out making bfp likely afterwards. I'm really looking forward to having the test to be honest!

In terms of OPK, I had a smiley face on weds afternoon, only two hours after a negative. I was a bit suspicious about it though as I had NO ewcm! Then I had a blazing positive on Friday morning and Friday midday WITH is ewcm. So, I think it's right when they can your body can TRY and ovulate and doesn't. LH can rise slowly or fast and can stay high for longer than others.

Thank you @Semele5069! Managed to test this morning after 4 hours. Low fertility as expected as only CD7. I think you’re right I’ll likely use a jar in the night if the timings don’t work out.

Well done @Sleeeeeepy! I'm prepping myself for no ovulation as only Cycle #2 off the pill. How many cycles has it taken you? I've lost track of everyone's cycle

@FridaKFangirl I had nothing at all for a while, then a very very short period which turned out not to be a period, a bit of an LH rise but not to any decent level then straight back to zero, then nothing for a bit, then a proper period and I'm CD9. So I'm not sure I'd call any of that cycles it was just my body resetting I think. I must be coming up for two months off the pill 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ah so we're at similar points... had withdrawal bleed, then 3 day AF after 27days and now CD7...trying SMEP this month so starting DTD every other day tomorrow :)

@FridaKFangirl Yay you're my cycle buddy! I'm stupid busy at work (working right now) and knackered so deffo won't be doing SMEP 😂

Ha! We're also work buddies then because I've got probably my busiest fortnight of the last year headed my way from next week - I'm going to be knackered!

@FridaKFangirl I'm so glad it's not just me 😂 I'm having problems saving my files which is really annoying, I need to go and DTD but I'm shouting at my laptop instead 🤬
