@claireb707 We went direct to the private fertility centre. Create Fertility based on a recommendation from a friend.

We were referred for investigations on the NHS as we've now had 3 recurrent miscarriages, but decided to go private to try to speed things up.

My husband is very nervous about adoption. If it was down to me we'd have already gone down that route, but obviously can't do something we're not both comfortable with.

He's agreed we will try adoption if ivf isn't successful.
Thanks, will have a Google...

I think it was the talk of needing 40 hours experience with kids outside your family that got me. No idea at all how either of us would do that....

It could be implantation I guess am 6dpo. Would that be ovary side or central though?

FridaKFangirl · 04/07/2020 21:02

@claireb707 I'm not eligible for ivf but I am eligible for tests up to and including Hycosy at a private clinic.

Gp didn't realise I could be referred, so I referred myself, but the clinic came back and said the GP could do the (electronic) referral then I'd get the tests for free.

It's worth calling your local clinic to ask what you need to do to get referred xx

Ugh, im out again this month! Had my period when I got up this morning. I'm going back to basics now, just folic acid, vitamin D and ubiquinol. I'm convinced all the strong multivitamins have been messing up my cycle for the past 2 months so I'm going back to what I was doing the 2 times I did get pregnant, with the addition of ubiquinol for egg quality.

@kwastell I would love to adopt either way, even if I do have a successful pregnancy. My sister was adopted and my mum fostered other children shorter term so I have some experience of what its like. The assessment process just terrifies me though- I hate the idea of having to get character references and have a panel decide if I get to have a child! It feels more out of my control than getting pregnant!

Sleeeeeepy · 05/07/2020 11:30

That sounds like a good plan @Semele5069 I think sometimes strong vitamins can make you go a bit wonky.

What are you ladies up to on this July Sunday? We're having a quiet day after a trip to the zoo yesterday where I offered DS1 to some random strangers as a present he was being so naughty 😖 They did not take me up on the offer unsurprisingly

LT103 · 05/07/2020 11:50

My relaxing Sunday is no more. I’ve been off work since end March and due to start back end July however just got a call to say they want me back tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♀️ Ah well, back to normality!!

Sleeeeeepy · 05/07/2020 11:56

@LT103 That's a bit of a shock, I hope your first day back goes OK!

LT103 · 05/07/2020 12:04

@Sleeeeeepy I know. I had plans for my last 2 weeks off as well!! Colleagues family member taken unwell so not much else to be done unfortunately. Think I’ve forgotten how to work, never mind all the new measures in place. Will be a stressful week for sure!!

Sleeeeeepy · 05/07/2020 12:09

@LT103 Make sure you have as much rest as possible in the evenings, maybe a nice takeaway on Friday as a treat to look forward to? Look after yourself x

claireb707 · 05/07/2020 12:23

I've been and done weekly food shop this morning, first time since all this madness began that there was no queue at all to get in 😮
This afternoon were off to the garden centre to get to some new pots for some plants that need reporting and then chill out as he is back to work tomorrow for first time since March

Loladoodle · 05/07/2020 13:28

Cd2 here and feeling absolutely grim 😢 periods are so shit. Hate this stage of the month. Wallowing in tea and chocolate today it’s all I can manage (feel free to slap me for being a negative nancy 👋)

Homassy · 05/07/2020 13:39

Please can you add me. Homassy 40. TTC 2, cycle 2 thanks

Lola no slaps needed. Peroids are a crap end to a fraught wait.

I think I might finally be seeing some strengthening of the OPKs at CD 17. It doesn't make sense as the EWCM has come and gone around day 14 but my OPKs were so faint then

Aw326 · 05/07/2020 14:15

Hi all, I'm 8 dpo now and feeling hyper sensitive to every little possible symptom. Was a bit bloated and had minor cramps this morning, hopefully too early for AF cramps so maybe implantation? (AF not due for 6 days and I usually don't get them until 3-4 days before). Trying to keep my mind on other things but it's so hard! Also, going to try not to test until the end of the week, also so hard!

Sleeeeeepy · 05/07/2020 15:06

Wallowing is allowed, tea and chocolate make life worth living so that all sounds pretty good @Loladoodle apart from the feeling grim bit ☹️

I'm symptom spotting and a bit of mild cramping has my mind going like crazy even though it's a bit early for implantation for me. Still my cycles are pretty short so AF would be due Saturdayish, not too long to wait. I've already starting testing though, because you all know that I can't resist POAS even if I know it couldn't possibly show anything 😬

Loladoodle · 05/07/2020 15:09

Thanks ladies- feeling so tearful for absolutely no reason at all other than crazy hormones. Roll on end of af this is pants!

Lynnysong · 05/07/2020 16:25

Just wanted to thank people had a heavy couple of weeks there. I am in a much better place now. :)

@LT103, @lucieloos, @FridaKFangirl - thank you for helping with the ovulation timing stuff, it's really not clear this cycle what's going on :)

@Happyhappy37 - Thanks for your support and I'd love to join in on a weightloss group, I'll pm you.

@Homassy, @Happyhappy37, @M4v3r1ck, @Annna41, @Sleeeeeepy, @Sunbird24 Thank you for listening and being there for my donor woes lol. I'm feeling a lot better about things now.

@lastditchattempt20 - Cheers for all the ov tracking advice. I would get the expensive gismo if I was younger but since I'm saving for ivf and donor egg/sperm, I've decided not to. It will work or it won't, I've got lots of info to work with, this cycle was just really weird lol.

@FunTryin41 - yeah my cover line changes, I'm pretty sure it's higher now that it's warmer :)

@Sleeeeepy - Choc brownies sound awesome, might need to get some soon Cake

Lynnysong · 05/07/2020 16:29

And I might have ovulated after all. My temps going up, it was quite high this morning. And for some reason my fitbit recalculated the last three days data and has decided my resting heart rate has gone up after all.

Was really surprised to see it do that. Happy too. :)

It almost looks like I had a surge and ovulated days later. Bodies are weird.

LouJ85 · 05/07/2020 19:50

So tomorrow I'll be 6dpo... any point in testing?? Or am I just going have to sit this out next weekend?! 😬🤣

lucieloos · 05/07/2020 20:26

@Lynnysong that's great news you think you might have ovulated!

@LouJ85 definitely no point in testing at 6dpo your embryo would only just be starting to think about implanting. The earliest is usually 9dpo but ideally wait until 11dpo. Good luck.

@Loladoodle hope af buggers off soon! Enjoy the tea and chocolate in the meantime.

12dpo today and have had some brown and then pink spotting this evening so think full flow will be here soon.
