@Lynnysong

He couldn't come round, I'm so upset, trying to get him round now but he's not replied. It would need to be now the app says. I can't do this if he won't help. It's cruel to dangle hope in front of me like this. Really angry.
@Lynnysong that's really not nice at all. I can't even imagine how you must feel. Hopefully he can come round today. sending you a virtual hug 🤗
Aw326 · 02/07/2020 11:20

Thanks for the welcome :)

@Happyhappy37 Sorry you are having trouble losing weight - maybe 10 lbs is a high goal for one month? If you can manage to lose 1lb a week that's generally really good. I started trying to lose weight about 3 years ago because I have an IBS condition that is made worse by being overweight, and which also messes with fertility if it's worse. I lost almost 2 stone over the course of one year and have kept it off by making small changes. I try to walk 10k steps a day and either swimming (can't now obviously) or gentle jogging 2-3x a week for 30 min. The Leslie Sansome walk at home videos on youtube are very dumb but get the steps in! Also just having smaller portions, and cutting back on booze has helped too.. I love wine but so many calories. Just make little changes and you will get there - you can do it! Star

Hey ladies, just catching up! Hope you're all well! 😍

How are my cyclets getting on? I'm app coming to the end of my fertile window based on trackers, but I've not been using any OPKs - just seeing how it goes for now! 😃

@Aw326 welcome! 😃 Hope I didn't miss anyone else!

@Lynnysong I'm so sorry you've been let down! 😔 I Hope he bucks up soon! This isn't fair to you!

@lastditchattempt20 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you! Any update?

Sorry to those of you with BFNs - sending lots of virtual love! 😘😘😘

Hayleywoody82 · 02/07/2020 11:55

Can anyone help please.
I've just got the clear blue opk test. With the smiley faces . Im just reading the leaflet trying to grt my head around it.
I think I understand when to start testing and its first wee of the day.
But how many times a day do you test is just once?

Thank you xx

selina37 · 02/07/2020 12:03

@Hayleywoody82 first wee of the day. If you're using the one with flashing face, you can start testing in the afternoon too once you've seen the first smiley face. 🙂

selina37 · 02/07/2020 12:06

Spotting again for me today, only light red streaks/brown and egg whitey kind of cm.
5/6 dpo 🙄 every month this gives me the clue I'm out, just makes the TWW unbearable 😒

Hayleywoody82 · 02/07/2020 12:10

@selina37 so when I get a smiley face start doing afternoon testing.
Is it best to dtd when it's static smiley face?

Thank you xx

LouJ85 · 02/07/2020 12:13

Hi, can I join please? I'm 35. TTC baby#2, came off the pill 3 and half weeks ago. I'm currently 2dpo... DTD 2-3 days prior to ovulation. Now need to sit patiently for at least another 10 days! Confused

selina37 · 02/07/2020 12:15

@Hayleywoody82 yes you can start DTD when you get the flashing and definitely when you get the static!

selina37 · 02/07/2020 12:16

@Hayleywoody82 yes sorry, you can do an afternoon test once you've seen a flashing smiley! Just try to hold your wee for four hours and drink a you normally would (but don't over do it I guess!) x

Hayleywoody82 · 02/07/2020 12:18

@selina37 thankyou for your help. Hoping this works better than the cheapy opks.

@LouJ85 welcome Smile

Lynnysong · 02/07/2020 12:50

Thanks everyone for your support, he's coming round soon. :)

I'm just confused this cycle about the different readings, watery stretchy cm for four days but not the peak ewcm. No increased resting heart rate although I did really cut back on caffeine. An lh surge last night. It might be that I'm not going to ovulate. Its cycle day 14 now although taking the soy later can push it back. Don't think this is really working this cycle.
May as well try anyway.

I did read you can ovulate up to 48 hours after a surge. I've never tracked that before so I don't know

Good luck everyone and lots of hugs and baby dust fx xx

Happyhappy37 · 02/07/2020 12:57

@Aw326 thanks

FridaKFangirl · 02/07/2020 13:53

Welcome @Aw326 and @LouJ85! Lovely group here.

waves at my cycle buddies this month @M4v3r1ck and @Sleeeeeepy. Hope you’re both doing well!

CD12 here and we have EWCM! Definitely this month! DTD Yesterday, Better get DTD today and tomorrow!

Matilda19 · 02/07/2020 14:15

Cd7 for me today trying to let it be more relaxed this month
We never have issues dtd more my body getting back in tune after 7 years with the implant
Tried tracking last month found it bit stressful
Good luck all x

Any bfp?
any one close to testing x

Sleeeeeepy · 02/07/2020 14:17

@Fizzy13 Yes it's definitely POAS time!

Hi @FridaKFangirl ! You're doing better than me girl, we only managed to DTD once and it was probably a bit early so not looking that promising. Too many very late nights working unfortunately.

I'm sorry your donor is being such a prick @Lynnysong You deserve so much better, it must be really stressful

Welcome newbies, this group is so lovely, the positivity and support is awesome.

PirateWeasel · 02/07/2020 17:56

@Matilda19 I'm testing on Sunday if AF doesn't catch me first. Not feeling very confident but you never know! We dtd a lot this month so gave it our best shot at least 😂

lastditchattempt20 · 02/07/2020 18:06

Evening ladies, just to update. Faint positives never progressed and despite no other typical PMS symptoms AF got me full force this morning. 😔 on CD31.
Definitely learnt my lesson not to test early- FRER gave me constant v faint positives from about 6 DPO (and cost a fortune) and looking at the other tests I suspect it was a chemical pregnancy. So on to next month- but maybe more hopeful that fertilization is still possible!

LouJ85 · 02/07/2020 18:10

Hi all - I'm dying to ask about this flashing smiley thing! I used Clearblue digital tests and I got a static smiley face both days I tested (Mon & Tues of this week). No flashing smileys. Are there different types of test? Thanks Smile

FridaKFangirl · 02/07/2020 18:24

Hi @LouJ85.

I'm using these Clearblue too As far as I know there are two types of Clearblue OV tests, one that shows the two most likely days - (tinyurl.com/y8gybduh) and the CB Digi Advance that shows at least four days (tinyurl.com/ydfpg9tl)...

I use the four day ones, when they start detecting an estrogen rise, you receive a 'flashing smiley' while the test looks for your LH peak. on that day, you get a static smiley...then you don't test again.

Sounds like you are using the 2 day version?

Lynnysong · 02/07/2020 18:34

@lastditchattempt20 I'm so sorry, that completely sucks :( lots of hugs for you. I hope you get lots of pampering and me time, you totally deserve it x

I know what you mean about testing but it is really hard not to.

My donor has come round so at least I get a shot at this. Not sure I am going to ovulate this cycle though. I also think I've been a bit stressed and a bit hard on my donor, he is trying to help.

It's probably me projecting all the emotional crap from the previous guy onto him. And that's not fair. We had a talk so at least I understand why there are scheduling problems now.
Fingers crossed for us all fx x

LouJ85 · 02/07/2020 18:36

@FridaKFangirl

Hi *@LouJ85*.

Ahh ok that makes sense! Yes I'm using the 2 day one! I got empty circles every day I tested after coming off the pill 3 week ago (I went a bit crazy with the testing!) ... until Monday morning of this week when I got a static smiley- same again on Tuesday. We DTD early hours of Saturday morning last weekend... so around 2-3 days pre ovulation. I don't fancy my odds as this is first cycle, but we'll see!
farfromperfect82 · 02/07/2020 18:38

Sorry not posted here for ages. I have just caught up. I took the arrival of AF pretty badly so took some time out was needed and then we've been busy with our house move. We just moved to the country from London (over 15 years there!) so hoping some nature, more room, change of scene, better air/water, some peace and quiet etc will help with ttc.

I am on cycle day 25 and had a decent ovulation on day 15/16. I took soya isoflavones this month (as my cycle just kept getting longer and longer) and it reduced by 4-5 days, so happy with that. I used some herbs around ovulation - shatavari, ashwanganda and amla - to help with oestrogen. Then some yam cream to help with progesterone 4 days after ovulation and temps looking good. Managed to DTD 3 days before surge as well as on the day of the surge. So hopefully we timed it better this month.

I've been using Ava and the predictions are waaaayyy off, don't recommend it tbh.

No major symptoms at 10 dpo but apart from bigger boobs and some soreness. I did have some sharp cramps a few days ago. Just so tired but I think it's just everything with the move.

Has anyone read 'it starts with an egg' - I was reading supplements list and it's slightly insane. Wondering whether to give it ago. Just worried about taking something that might have a negative effect.

wish you all the best with your current cycles ladies🤞🏼.

FridaKFangirl · 02/07/2020 18:40

You never know @LouJ85! I’m sure I’ve read hear that sperm can swim about waiting for up to 5 days! 😀

Annna41 · 02/07/2020 18:44

@lastditchattempt20 so sorry that it's not better news for you. Fingers crossed that next month is your month!

@Lynnysong glad your donor managed to get a visit in today. I hope everything works out for you.

I've just had AF finish. Called the GP a few days ago and he's said that I can go in for full bloods on Wednesday to check that hormones are all good. Its only been 5 or 6 cycles but I'd rather know sooner than later if there are any issues.

Best of luck to those coming up to testing.
