If anyone else would like to join please do xx

I'm so new to all of this, I haven't a clue 🙈

TTC after MC - June/July 2020 (Part 4)
Rebecca1992 · 26/06/2020 11:52

@VP91x maybe I should test again later??

mrsssk · 26/06/2020 11:53

@Rebecca1992 I've been using One Step and get the control line up within seconds. This looks like a faulty test to me, can you try with another one if you still have the sample?

@MichT4 I found the CP confusing too but I thought if I persisted I'd find some sort of pattern but sounds like another method to put in the trash for now lol
I have a couple of FRERs, I'd ordered them to initially check I got a -ve following the MC but used some cheapies at that point instead. I feel sick with nerves thinking of either a BFP or BFN!!! Convincing myself it'll be a negative so I'm set up mentally for disappointment - much prefer if AF turns up instead

VP91x · 26/06/2020 11:56

@Rebecca1992 yeah that definitely looks like a faulty one. They always should come up with a control line. Have you tried to dip another one? Xx

OP posts:
chloedancer897 · 26/06/2020 11:58

@VP91x I definitely recommend getting some tests. That price is really good

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:02

@chloedancer897 I'm going to go for it, nothing to lose and hopefully lots of info to gain. You had the tests done didnt you? Xx

OP posts:
chloedancer897 · 26/06/2020 12:05

@VP91x yes, I went privately because my GP put a referral in and I was waiting for ages. I'm so glad I did it. Just to give me peace of mind.

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:06

@chloedancer897 did you have the same ones on that list? Were any of them painful if you did? Xx

OP posts:
Rebecca1992 · 26/06/2020 12:06

@mrsssk @VP91 I've just done another, Control line is up and also another faint line so I guess I wait the 10mins to see does it darken?

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:08

@Rebecca1992 ah fab, yeah let it settle a bit and then you can see what it is. Do you only use Flo to track? Xx

OP posts:
chloedancer897 · 26/06/2020 12:09

@VP91x the ones on the first list are just blood tests.

The second list, I had an USS and it was internal so it was uncomfortable but not painful. The hysterosalpingogram is where they insert a dye into your Fallopian tubes to make sure they're open. That I found very uncomfortable but not painful.

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:12

@chloedancer897 ah that's good to know, yeah the one with the dye I was bit apprehensive about but hopefully as you said will just be a bit uncomfortable. Xx

MichT4 · 26/06/2020 12:13

@mrsssk You might be better at it than me, and it might work for you. I just know it can be a tricky one to use so I just think you should take it with a pinch of salt Smile

@Rebecca1992 How annoying your first one was faulty - at least they are working now. Did the line get darker?

@VP91x you've made me want to look at tests now Envy haha

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:17

@MichT4 aw no, don't. Honestly it's just because of all my mental cycles and possibly not ovulating now. Plus, my hair has been falling out loads the last few months so I just think I'm a bit broken right now. Xx

OP posts:
Rebecca1992 · 26/06/2020 12:19

So I got a faint second line (negative) does it mean I may ovulate soon given that no second line could have appeared! Or should I just take it as a simple negative?

TTC after MC - June/July 2020 (Part 4)
mrsssk · 26/06/2020 12:28

@Rebecca1992 you'll need to keep testing daily at the same time until you see the line starting to darken. Once it gets darker, test a bit more frequently (think @VP91x mentioned twice a day and some recommended times).
If you just carry on testing once a day you might miss your peak which is when the lines are either same colour or the test line is darker.
Once it's peaked you ovulated in the next 24-36 hours. It's a lot of info but once you see the changes in the lines it'll make more sense!

Balajake · 26/06/2020 12:30

@Rebecca1992

So I got a faint second line (negative) does it mean I may ovulate soon given that no second line could have appeared! Or should I just take it as a simple negative?
Testing twice a day will ensure you don’t miss it. Mine can be like yours one day then blazing the next. I don’t really get gradual progression on these things Over days, it’s usually all in one day. That is negative, you’ll always get a line but when it gets nearly as dark as the test line I always DTD that day just incase because my lines get darker within hours
Balajake · 26/06/2020 12:31

Sorry meant control line not test line *

mrsssk · 26/06/2020 12:32

@MichT4 for now I'll stop seeing as I'll be testing soon it's just adding to my anxiety 😑

@VP91x my hair has been falling out LOADS (to the point the brush in our vacuum got clogged and broke) since MC. I thought it was just me! I really can't be dealing with turning bald on top of everything else so have just been using hair masks and leaving it plaited overnight

Rebecca1992 · 26/06/2020 12:35

@Balajake thank you I will keep testing.

@VP91x I've always used an app called My Calendar just to track my period but last week I downloaded Flo just to see if she matched up to my other predictions on My Calendar. That's all I really use through this process, do you reccomend doing anything else?

@MichT4 Just my luck to get a dud for my very first!

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:39

@mrsssk omg, really? I meannit sucks this is happening to you too but I thought it was only me too. My hair is so thin compared to how it was pre-MC. It's breaking off aswell and falling out so so much. If I brush it its just a ridiculous amount. Have the hair masks helped? Which ones are you using? Xx

OP posts:
mrsssk · 26/06/2020 12:49

@VP91x mine is so thin right now too :(
I've been using the Garnier hair food masks for dry hair as it's become brittle too. They're not very pricey compared to others. I can't tell any difference yet but will let you know if I do. I've also read that Biotin capsules help with hair fall, been reluctant to introduce more supplements while TTC though so sticking with masks for now. Hope the hair fall slows down soon for both of us!

VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:54

@mrsssk do you think it's the hormone drop like when you get post partum hair loss? It's the only thing I can compare it too. It's made me so upset, because as you said on top of everything else losing your hair is just like a physical reminder. Yeah I've seen that but yeah didn't want to try whilst TTC as you're not meant to take during pregnancy I believe. Xx

OP posts:
VP91x · 26/06/2020 12:56

@Rebecca1992 if you use an app like premom or Femometer you can take a pic of the test it will give you a reading and you can see the progession that way 🥰 really handy
