@Kaybobx yeah last year August ( a year and a few months in) we went to the GP had my tests she thought something was a miss went a second time and it was fine I am 100% OK and then hubby was booked for October last year but the doctors were all ill so a lot of rescheduling and then he couldn't get away from work so it was set in stone for April this year and then lock down happened so he is on the priority list as soon as they open up again he will get a letter from the fertility clinic with a new appointment date. So its just a waiting game in the mean time I'm just trying to stay proactive and positive and doing everything we can. Thats why I'm thinking the fertility monitor will be great because we can start inputting data and once his tests come back (which I have a feeling will be perfect) we can show them my cycles and intercourse dates and see where to go from there.

@candycrush2298 a tad similar to me. I went for a blood test then hubby was booked in for March. Covid happened then his test didn't happen. Im not sure where you live but i paid for some private scans (follicle tracking) 3 scans when I'm ovulating to see if my ovaries were growing. I was ovulating fine but they found 2 polyps on my uterus. After Dr Google he said they cause infertility! I got the report sent to my GP but still yet to hear anything. You never know whats going on in there until someone takes a look. Keep pushing for it.

snapple21 · 18/06/2020 22:31

Soft high cervix sounds positive to me!

helsbubble17 · 18/06/2020 22:33

My period is due tomorrow Friday. Is that AF?

candycrush2298 · 18/06/2020 22:37

@Kaybobx wow really did you feel anything was amiss like do your polyps cause any pain? My friend is currently going in privately because she has a huge polyp and hasn't stopped bleeding for months passing huge clots and had to go on some injection which like imitates menopause so that she doesn't bleed until her operation so just wondering if its always pretty severe? If we don't hear anything when things start opening up I am going to start looking at what private options there are. So what is the follicle tracking? What do they do? Does it just check that you are ovulating and for things like polyps/fibroids/endometriosis etc.?

@candycrush2298 nope, no symptoms at all. I say private but not a private hospital.. not sure where you live but we have a place that does pregnancy scans, gender reveals, HD scans etc. They also do follicle tracking (its just like ovulation tests but scans that can see when your about to release an egg) thats when the scan showed these polyps which i have then reported to my GP but im still awaiting a call back.

Kaybobx · 18/06/2020 22:50

www.miracleinprogress.co.uk/ this is the place. I had all my scans here with my first little one.

snapple21 · 18/06/2020 22:50

Just started with light brown spotting as expected. I'm not going anywhere though - still everything crossed for you and I'll be on the next thread with anyone who is left!

candycrush2298 · 18/06/2020 22:52

@kaybobx really interesting thanks for sharing I will check near where to I live to see if we have something similar. Thanks very much something to look into. Let's hope your GP can help you out ASAP

So this month and last I tried the "checking your cervix" technique, and honestly.... I dont have a clue. What's the difference, and how can you tell if it's hard or soft? X

sb12985 · 18/06/2020 23:45

Cramps and boob pain not great tonight. I know these are signs of AF but i don't really get symptoms for AF until it's actually happening and I get a dull ache for the first day and that's it. This is a totally different pain lol

LAG1986 · 18/06/2020 23:51

@sb12985 I dont get any symptoms either till af actually arrives. And I'm starting to lose faith in my symptom spotting haha. When are you due? Af is due sunday for me. I'd love an extra special fathers day gift ❤

sb12985 · 18/06/2020 23:59

@LAG1986 Due Saturday and I'm usually regular to the day normally

LAG1986 · 19/06/2020 00:17

@sb12985 Me too. Couple of times I've been 1 or 2 days early. Believe it or not, both times I did an early PT to find out before my af date. Think I've been jinxing it. Haha xx

LAG1986 · 19/06/2020 00:18

I started early straight after testing. Lol. No more early testing for me. Lol. X

candycrush2298 · 19/06/2020 00:26

@LAG1986 if you feel your cervix every single day at the same time you will feel a difference when you just finish your periods to when you ovulate. After your AF it should be firm when you feel it then you will know what firm is for you. And then when you ovulate you will find it a bit hard to reach as it will be high then you will know how high is high for you and when you feel it it will feel something like your vaginal walls soft and blending or like your lips.

@sb12985 if you don't get symptoms usually then that is hopefully a good sign. Almost to saturday we nearly there if both you and Lag usually have the same cycle length every month then by Saturday you should be able to test. Baby dust to us all xx

My period is here. Good luck everyone else! I'll hang around for a bit and see how you get on @Kaybobx @candycrush2298 !

Elakiya · 19/06/2020 06:58

@candycrush2298 awww I am sorry to hear that.

I’ve been using professional exams as a distraction from fertility issues. But my husband forced me to see my GP 2 years ago. I finally went and unsurprisingly got diagnosed with PCOS (I’ve known since I was 11). However in the scan they also picked up a potential septate uterus but couldn’t confirm as my uterus is retroverted. They then did a 3D scan and found that I didn’t have a septate uterus ( thank goodness for that). The thing I found frustrating about the nhs is they sent me for bloods and would go we’ll see you in 6 months! I wasted a year faffing around with the nhs. I’d also gained quite a bit of weight due to exams 😳 and the consultant at the nhs I had to see was horrible about it. He was really condescending. In the end I went privately (work pay for health insurance). My consultant is lovely. He gave me metformin and told me to eat healthy and to try to lose 10kg. I’ve lost 14kg so far and found my cycles were going down massively just before lockdown hit they’d gone down to 28-30 days. Lock down hits and healthy eating goes out the window - my cycles are now at 35/36 days 😒. I am trying to just be positive and have gotten back on track with healthy eating and exercise. This is the first month I used OPKs... I never have ECWM so thought I wasn’t ovulating but then the OPK was positive on day 21. I’m mainly doing the OPK’s to show my consultant in August/September when I go to see him. I am aiming to lose another 8 kg before I see him. I’m also going to start doing the BBT thing so that I can show him that too.

Gosh that’s such a long story. Anyway my advice to you is you need to be very organised with the nhs, take your OPK’s with you, take your bbt charts with you, make sure you track your cycle lengths so you can show them too. Just collect as much information as you can.

Good luck! Throwing baby dust your way.

I’m out for this month. I am spotting more. I always spot before my period. Oh well better luck next time. I ovulated this month so I am happy about that 😄

Elakiya · 19/06/2020 07:03

@LAG1986 I’m the same. I go and check but I find it varies everyday?

Elakiya · 19/06/2020 07:05

@LAG1986 how do you delete posts urghhh. That was meant to say varies throughout the day not “varies everyday”

Kaybobx · 19/06/2020 08:21

@snapple21 @candycrush2298 I'm out, tested this morning and its negative. AF due tomorrow so would of shown at least a faint line. CP lower down and super hard.
Come on @candycrush2298 we're relying on you now Smile

Sunnydays123456 · 19/06/2020 08:28
