Hey ladies,

How are we all? I am still waiting to hear back from the Dr about my thyroid test, dont think the results will be back until tomorrow so might not hear back until next week although he says he will only call if there is an issue 🙈Also found out I am getting made redundant this week so less than ideal 😔

@XjustagirlX how are you doing?

@Annny27 @Kiza @orangeloo how are you ladies?

Kiza · 01/10/2020 11:18

@Lozzlepop thanks for asking after me, I've decided to take a step back from the forums as I each month that passes I found myself getting more and more worried that pregnancy won't happen for us. Plus still waiting on IVF appointment, feels like there's no light at the end of the tunnel 😞 as going into 26th cycle.

As lovely, supportive and knowledgeable as you ladies are being away from the forums has helped as it's prevented me from thinking about it so much.

Still sometimes lurk in the background and when I'm in a better space I'll come back. Still wishing tons of love and luck to you all, and really hope one of us old timers gets a BFP soon- we are so due one!!!

orangeloo · 01/10/2020 11:24

@Lozzlepop so sorry about your redundancy. I've been there twice, it's horrible hope you find something soon. You should definitely find out what the results were don't just let them say it's fine as it's completely different what's fine for women ttc or pregnant.

Not a lot going on for me just trying to get my consultant appointment brought forward. I'm phoning for cancellation every week.

Annny27 · 01/10/2020 11:27

Morning :) I have my first nhs fertility appointment on Monday- just the initial consultation:) I am cd14 and lots of ewcm so probably cd16 ovulation I am predicting and then I will get my 7dpo blood tests the week after:)

@kiza sometimes its good to take a break :) please do come and check in with us every once and a while and hopefully you will have some good news to share soon!

@Lozzlepop ahhh sorry about your redundancy:( do you get good payout do you know? Such an awful time:(

@orangeloo is that your ivf consultation appointment?

I hope this is the right place to post as I really don't want to upset anyone!

I took a test this morning and got a positive, am basically in shock. We only started trying in September, and I had convinced myself that it wasn't going to happen this month, especially as for the last few days I've been getting the exact same medium intensity cramps I always get a day or so before my period (but I also have a health issue that frequently causes fertility issues). I've read that this is normal for later in pregnancy, but does anyone know if it's common for super early stages?

Also, when I dipped the test in the cup, I was counting the time and as counting it is usually a bit fast, did 26 seconds instead of 20 seconds, could this have given a false positive? It was the clearblue digital test, so immediately after dipping I got the egg timer then within seconds, pregnant appeared whilst egg timer was still flashing. Then a minute or so later, 2-3 weeks appeared. Could this be false? How many more should I take and when??

Sorry if this is a bit incoherent, am massively shocked.

Annny27 · 01/10/2020 12:38

@curiouscat1987 you might want to start your own thread. But you are pregnant:) enjoy it all, cramps are very common in early pregnancy.

I would take another test in a week or so!

@Annny27 it's my first consultation with the consultant nhs fertility which the nurse said I would then be referred on for ivf. I find it quite annoying that I don't know the process or what to expect step by step and the fact the everything is over the phone atm. I've been waiting for a letter for three weeks about the standard infection screen needed. Three weeks for a letter!? it makes no sense and I feel like covid is a massive excuse for a lot of things now. Hope your appointment goes well Monday.

@Kiza completely understand how you feel a need for a break. Really hope to hear some good news from u soon.

XjustagirlX · 01/10/2020 16:28

So I’ve been referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit now. I should expect my first consultation around middle of November. They will then book in my bloods and scan within the following week. I can’t TTC now until my tests are done so we have to stop for a couple of months. The results and treatment plan will be around 4-6 weeks after that so by end of December I should hopefully have a treatment plan for the next time I get pregnant. I really hope they find a solution to my miscarriages.

Separately I have my infertility tests which have been delayed since April this year. I’m waiting to see what CD I am on after miscarriage and then booking in for bloods. I’m also on the waiting list for a hycosy. She expects me to have heard about my appointment by end of October though.

The RM and infertility are being done at different hospitals and I’ve not told them about each other. I’m worried they will both want me to be seen by the other one and it will affect things for me.

So I’m having a break TTC until at least mid November. I’m planning on having fun, eating soft cheese and having a drink while I can. Fingers crossed everything works out in the end for us all.

Kiza · 01/10/2020 21:48

@XjustagirlX 💜

BananaApple · 01/10/2020 22:05

May I join too? I'm 31 ttc our first, we're only 4 months in but I've a feeling we'll be here for the long rub. Af due tomorrow and it feels like she'll show as normal Sad x

BananaApple · 01/10/2020 22:06

I meant long run*
New to mumsnet and not sure how to edit posts yet Blush x

XjustagirlX · 02/10/2020 12:45

Ive had a call today to say my recurrent miscarriage appointment has been deferred till January.

I’ve also got my hycosy due at some point soon but no idea when it will actually be.

What do you think I should do now. Should I keep trying or stop until my appointments? 3 months seems ages to wait.

Btw I feel emotionally ok in myself to continue trying.

Annny27 · 03/10/2020 09:42

Morning :D cd16 and had positive opk yesterday and today so probs ovulate either later on today or tomorrow :)

@XjustagirlX thats such a long wait! Personally I would continue to try but its very personal choice. It may result in another miscarriage if they haven't had the chance to investigate but also may be 4th time lucky!

@BananaApple welcome :) let's hope it isn't too much longer:D did AF arrive?

@orangeloo yes it would be nice to have a run-through of whats likely to happen instead of the blind appointments! Hope it goes well for you too!

Hi ladies, hope everyone has had a nice weekend!

@Kiza I totally get what you mean, I really hope everything works out and you get your referral sorted soon ❤️

@orangeloo thank you, this is the 3rd company I have worked for that this has happened in, I am genuinely the unluckiest person lol! So the doc called this morning- I was shocked TBH he said my results are borderline so would recommend retesting me prior to us trying again. I believe he said they were 4.34 and they only treat if you are over 4.5

@Annny27 Thank you ❤️well in my classic work fashion the accounts lady is on holiday as we have know for almost a week and wont have a letter for another week and a bit. It won't be much annoyingly my wage went down as my last role got made redundant too.

@XjustagirlX I would imagine its been deferred as you need to wait the 12 weeks for the blood clotting test to take place, something to bear in mind if you try again as we ended up having to push ours back after getting pregnant again.

Annny27 · 06/10/2020 10:30

Morninf everyone :)

I had my fertility consultation yesterday and having my 7dpo bloods done on Monday and then if we don't conceive, next month I get my day 1-5 bloods done as well as an ultrasound mid cycle. So I am glad things are going in the right direction:)

@lozzlepop thats so unlucky for redundancy to have happened twice! Do you have any idea of any roles that may be hiring that you are suitable for? Wishing you best of luck in your job search!

Hi ladies- update from me:

Dhs analysis came back and everything is good apart from low morphology :/ feeling a bit deflated tbh!

OP posts:
orangeloo · 09/10/2020 14:51

@Annny27 hey, how come you feel deflated lovely? X

whatsthecraic91 · 09/10/2020 15:22

@Annny27 when my DP got his results back his morphology was 3%, don't lose hope!! As long as he has plenty of them it's usually not a cause for concern 😊 hope you're doing okay xx

Annny27 · 09/10/2020 15:35

@orangeloo on reflection and research its not that bad but initially when I heard low morphology I was worried it was really bad news! Still not ideal but as all the rest in normal it should be okay

@whatsthecraic91 that's reassuring 💗 how are you doing? Must be nearly 3rd trimester now

OP posts:
orangeloo · 09/10/2020 16:51

@Annny27 sorry I didn't mean to sound flippant btw. It is deflating but it will by no means stop you. As @whatsthecraic91 says if there's still a good count you are still in with a good chance. Look at supplements that specifically help with morphology. X

Kiza · 09/10/2020 16:56

@Annny27 sorry to hear you felt deflated, DP has 1% morphology on both SA. However since taking a ton of supps his motility and count increased significantly (even though those 2 areas were fine before they still saw improvement).
He takes: zinc, lycopene, vit E

whatsthecraic91 · 10/10/2020 15:53

@Annny27 my OH was just on wellman conception supplements. I'm great thanks! 28 weeks today so the start of the 3rd trimester. Countdown is on now 😌x

Annny27 · 10/10/2020 20:48

Evening ladies :)

@orangeloo don't be silly i know you didn't mean it in a bad way :) are you still on the cyclogest? Its quite nice not taking them this cycle haha! No bum tablets morning and night 😂

@whatsthecraic91 thanks lovely! My DH has been taken them but not remembering very well....so now he is making sure he takes them daily!

@kiza thank you :) I guess if the vitamins increase sperm count then the more sperm, the more chance of a normal shaped one getting through! have you heard anything more about ivf consultation?

OP posts:
Kiza · 10/10/2020 21:51

@Annny27 that's exactly what both our consultants said. Also the obvious of cutting out caffeine & alcohol, no tight undies or heat around that area 😁
Nope still waiting and still getting the same message or 'hopefully another 3 weeks' every time we call. Period arrived on my 40th birthday, both cried, both feel hopeless and lost. Shit times to be honest.

orangeloo · 11/10/2020 08:47

@Annny27 :) no I'm not still taking them. I have a box left but last couple of months we haven't been in with a chance due to DP working away. which is very annoying but yes nice not to be doing the bum pills haha and so nice not having the side effects.

@Kiza I'm so sorry they keep delaying you. What's the reason, covid related? Or just their wait list situation?
