M4v3r1ck · 09/06/2020 09:25

Welcome to the new folks, and sorry to those of you that have had a tough time! 😘

@Lynnysong @Sunbird24, hats off to you fantastic ladies! Don't listen to anyone giving you negativity! You're an inspiration to women! 😘😘😘 Our next thread should be Cougars, Silver Foxes, and Amazons! 😜😂😘

@claireb707 was watching Netflix last night and someone got pregnant with triplets, and I genuinely had a terrifying "OMFG what if that happens moment!" 🤣 Ach what'll be will be! 😂

claireb707 · 09/06/2020 09:48

@M4v3r1ck a friend from work had surprise triplets last year (no multiples in their families, under 30 etc)
As far as I'm aware she is doing amazing well with them

There are twins in my family (both identical and non identical) so I have a higher chance anyway

Happyhappy37 · 09/06/2020 10:02

Good morning all 🙂

Ok soooo yesterday I noticed something that I am calling strange.
I randomly decided to take a opk, It wasnt positive (I think) but, it was very near it. Some hours later I went to the loo and I had soooo much very thick EWCM.

Looking at my period calendar yesterday I was only CD 9. Also my period this month was very short (2days). When I was on the pill it was like 5 to 7 days long. When I was younger I used to only have 2 to 3 days period though.
I don't know if this is a normal for me re: ewcm at this stage, because I have just started TTC.
Do people normally have ewcm at such early stage? Apparently, I am not due to ovulate until Saturday.

Wishing you all get BFP
sending positive energy 🙏🏽😊

FridaKFangirl · 09/06/2020 10:22

Goodness! @M4v3r1ck

I only have full use of one side of my body ( I have a type of cerebral palsy) so the thought of twins terrifies me!

Strangely, if I did have a multiple birth, I’d feel less bad if I had triplets (!) as no one can hold and feed three at a time so I wouldn’t beat myself up! LOL. I’m really not hoping for triplets though!

In reality I’d be More than delighted with one!

Loladoodle · 09/06/2020 10:50

@M4v3r1ck love the name for next thread! I’m sorry I didn’t think of that when naming this one now!

@selina37 I had the dye test previously. I got pg about 6 months after it- but in total I’d been Ttc 3 years so I guess that’s something. Although my fertility wasn’t an issue at the same it was my ex H. sperm.

Loladoodle · 09/06/2020 10:51

@Happyhappy37 I get ewcm quite soon after af finishes although I suspect I ov quite early- have got opks this month to check.

On the subject of multiple births- is it true there is more chance the older you are? Gosh imagine 😱 I’d be most concerned with the financial impact reckon I’d manage somehow otherwise but childcare costs are so high! Have worked out affordability for one more at this stage.

Twins yes, not sure of higher multiples

I think I'd like twins, I would prefer not to only have 1 child, twins removes the effort (and potential heartbreak) of trying for a 2nd

😂😂😂

Yeah, apparently we are more likely to release more than one egg as we get older! Roughly termed the "going out of business sale" or "closing down sale"! 😳🙊😂

I know it's all worth it and we'll be manage it, but wow our excel spreadsheet on potential maternity leave and childcare costs is kinda terrifying...

Posy1 · 09/06/2020 13:27

Hi everyone and welcome to all the new people. CD9 here, so at the fun part of my cycle..anyone else?
@Loladoodle - Yes, apparently fraternal twins are more common after 35 as women sometimes release more than one egg.

Must catch up on this thread properly later, but loving the new name. 😂😂

About to start day 13 of 'Yoga with Adrienne', I'm really enjoying it and can finally touch my toes again without screaming in pain! Who knows if it will help me conceive, but it might lead to some new interesting DTD positions. 🤸😂😂

lastditchattempt20 · 09/06/2020 13:43

Hi all- CD6 here, AF almost done 🥳 I have multiples in the family so prob even higher risk. Omg, DH would freak out! I'm already worried about being the oldest mum at the school gates...let alone the one with twins etc!

Loladoodle · 09/06/2020 13:48

Interesting 🤔 I’d also need to move house and win the lottery! 😅

@lastditchattempt20 Awh Great you are out the other side now! Cd3 here... 💤 😴 wishing away my week!

@M4v3r1ck oooh is that spreadsheet in a format that is shareable?? Not your maternity pay!

lucieloos · 09/06/2020 14:07

Well I'm 9dpo today and by my reckoning af should be here tomorrow. Ive been having mild cramping so looks like it's all set. I'm never quite sure whether a 9-10 day luteal phase is enough or if I should consider taking some progesterone to lengthen it a bit? Anyone else with a short LP?

PinkTulipz · 09/06/2020 14:27

My friend has just had twins, she's 36!

I caved and tested with a frer this morning- AF due on Thur/Fri, got a BFN.

I've got some opks now so going to start taking it a bit more seriously now. Also got pregnacare conception vitamins - any other recommendations?

selina37 · 09/06/2020 14:36

@Loladoodle thank you, that's encouraging. What did they find out when they did the test? And also - did it hurt? 😱

Chlo2701 · 09/06/2020 14:52

Oh god I'm shitting it now you've said that😳 last couple months I've ovulated from the left ovary as could feel it, but this month on Sunday night I had pains in left & right ovary! Hope I've not released 2 eggs😧

FridaKFangirl · 09/06/2020 15:11

Also LOL at the idea of a buy one get one free, closing down sale! BOGOF eggs! Grin

Sleeeeeepy · 09/06/2020 15:31

My LH is down to almost zero having only reached about 26 so don't think I've ovulated. Booooo. Hopefully I'll have a proper AF this month and go back to normal

Happyhappy37 · 09/06/2020 15:52

Thoughts please

Yesterday's one was almost like that one.
🤔🤔 Am quite confused now

Lynnysong · 09/06/2020 16:18

@lastditchattempt20 I hope you can get some help with your uterus lining, I heard walking helps it? I'm sure I heard that in passing, gets the blood circulation going and that helps.

@farfromperfect82 Thanks for the food tips, I am eating a lot more healthy these days. I'd love to look at the links and checklist. :)

Lynnysong · 09/06/2020 16:26

@Happyhappy37 That looks like it's getting quite high, but I'm not brilliant with opks. I know that sometimes woman have high readings for a few days and some don't. I heard that's it's good to go with ewcm for when your fertile.

@M4v3r1ck thanks you for the compliment, I'd love to be an amazon like in wonder woman lol. :)

Lynnysong · 09/06/2020 16:32

I read something that cheered me up about my uterine lining. The follicle releases estrogen that signals the lining to thicken, and later progesterone after the egg is released.

Well the soy isoflavones boosts the follicle growth so it should also boost the uterus as well as ovulation. And as well as walking and eating more heathly and taking vitamins etc. I think I've done all I can for it this cycle.

Sooo I feel that the only thing holding me back is egg quality. And I'm taking coq10 (??) that is supposed to help. Only 300mg a day just now, that stuff is expensive. I'm going to relax now cause I've done everything I can do. Just need a magic bean. fx :)
