@LT103, I’ve chosen not to track ovulation until after I get first natural AF after the pill. But I’ve got CBDigi ov sticks ready as I want the certainty of the digital smiley... or not of course!

I’m also on Seven Seas. Started them 30 days ago while on the last few of my contraceptive pills.

Lynnysong · 11/06/2020 16:53

@Matilda19 I feel like that about the opks, there's something stressful about them. But I'll maybe try to use them probably next time

Matilda19 · 11/06/2020 17:14

@Lynnysong just not sure if doing it right or using app correctly. Took few pics and results all different close but differnt just adding to stress I think x

Moominmiss · 11/06/2020 17:15

@Loladoodle and @lucieloos I didn’t do a frer.

So I’m 99% certain it was either dud tests or a chemical again.

So had -

a faint but there line on the evening if 8dpo on a ic test.

Then a faint but clearly pink line on another ic (different brand) on the morning of 9dpo (fmu).

Then 9dpo afternoon a bfn on ic (same brand as the morning)

Before bed on 9dpo a faint positive on the same brand ic.

Morning of 10dpo bfn on the same brand ic.

Afternoon of 10dpo barely there, likely evap on the same brand ic.

So because I’ve not had any convincing line I’m not going to waste a frer.

I think maybe chemical. Like maybe I implanted, had a quick spurt of hcg which gave me the bfp, but it failed almost instantly causing the following bfn’s.

Plus I had been feeling queasy and had sore nipples, both of which have gone completely.

So that’s 3 losses in 6 months. It seems getting pregnant isn’t the problem, it’s hanging onto it. So I’m assuming it’s either dodgy old eggs, low progesterone, or a crappy lining after 3 previous c sections.

I’ve already started taking the ubiquinol in preparation for next cycle, and I’ve got a telephone appointment with a nice lady doctor next week to discuss 3 losses in 6 months. See if she’ll perhaps do any blood tests. I’m not sure they will seeing as I’m 37 and have 3 children already from a previous relationship, but I can only ask and hope!

So it’s onto cycle 10 for me once I get af.

I just hope this chemical doesn’t delay my af by too much. As soon as I know I’m not pregnant I get really impatient to start the next cycle!

Loladoodle · 11/06/2020 17:33

@moominmiss so sorry! I just think perhaps cp are so much more common than we think as we only know from testing early. Will be good to have a chat with GP though and get some reassurance and hopefully bloods. You never know maybe dud tests - you see it all the time on mn. Hang fire and see what happens but I know what you mean I’m only Cd4 and feel impatient already- haven’t even got through the fertile window yet 😳

@MrsTtobe I'm in Solihull so near Brum, I lived in Kings Norton for quite a while 😊 Send some baby dust this way please 😋🥳

Lynnysong · 11/06/2020 18:03

@Moominmiss I'm so sorry, really was hoping for you. I hope the lady doc can help :(

@Matilda19 It's getting a faint line and then nothing. It's a little frustrating, I might have a quick surge and then ovulate much later. I'll see how I feel next cycle.

selina37 · 11/06/2020 18:15

Oh @Moominmiss 😔 sorry xx

selina37 · 11/06/2020 18:16

Please can I ask what ubiquinol is? Xx

lucieloos · 11/06/2020 18:22

So sorry @Moominmiss I've had 3 chemical pregnancies previously and it's such a heartache to find out you're pregnant and then for it to be gone again.

I'll post up the list...sorry if I've got any details wrong. I've put them in age order just because I found it helpful to be able to look and see others around the same age as me (over 40) If anyone else wants to put it in a spreadsheet or whatever that's fine.

@selina37 ubiquinol is Coenzyme Q10. Evidence shows it improves egg quality so might be helpful for women in their mid 30s onwards who are trying TTC, or where there are fertility issues.

I've just started it a few days ago after 2 early losses. It takes about 3 months to have any effect though as that's how long it takes for eggs to mature.

The book It Starts with the Egg covers it.

Chlo2701 · 11/06/2020 19:34

@lucieloos good work hun. Thankyou.

I've just had a mad woman moment! Just gone on eBay & ordered 20IC's, pack of 3 Clearblue & a pack of 2 FRERS. Going to use the internet cheapies for when I get the urge to POAS!😂 they were under £3 for 20, so won't feel bad if I waste them by getting BFN's! As I'm only pissing away pence then & not pounds🙈

Moominmiss · 11/06/2020 19:34

@Loladoodle I think cp are way more common that we realise. Damn early tests! If I could just have more will power and hold out I’d never have known. But then I sort of think maybe it’s a good thing I know so I can try to address a potential issue.

@Lynnysong thank you, I will update with what the dr says next week. I just hope she doesn’t fob me off. It seems half the time us ttc know more about potential issues than the drs themselves!

@selina37 ubiquinol is a supplement of something your body makes naturally but as you get older, more specifically after 35 your body makes less of it. It’s basically really good for all round health but more importantly it’s great for helping improve egg quality. You can get it in 2 forms, ubiquinone which is the cheaper version, but your body has to convert it to the ubiquinol form and once you’re over 35 this is more difficult for your body to do, or you can buy ubiquinol which is already in the form your body needs so can absorb it much better, but it’s more costly. Most capsules are 100mg and the recommended minimum dose is 200mg a day. I’ve just bought 120 capsules for £59.
But at this stage I’m willing to do whatever I can.

@lucieloos you’re right, cp are heartbreaking. To give you that short burst of joy only to snatch it away so fast. It’s so cruel of life and times like this ttc truly sucks.

claireb707 · 11/06/2020 19:35

Just be aware though that ubiquinol can lengthen cycles. I was taking it for a few months and my cycles went from 28 days to 34 and in fact last month was 44 days (which was so much fun 😩) so I've stopped taking it now (plus it was getting expensive with that on top of folic acid, magnesium and opk tests)

Lynnysong · 11/06/2020 19:56

I also heard you should take them (ubiquinol and ubiquinone) with fatty food as they absorb better that way
