Hello, looking for ladies with a similar cycle to mine, to discuss symptoms and get through the dreaded tww!

I have just looked back at my logs from my first two in 2014 and 2016. I tested negative with my first at cd 30 and finally got a positive cd38. My second I didn't test until cd36 and got a positive.

My symptoms are the same as what I am having now- bloating, severe cramps, constipation and nausea.

MintGreenLife · 18/06/2020 11:39

Hi everyone :)

Thought I would hop on here if that's OK...

I got AF yesterday, which was a surprise as means I had a 3 day luteal phase!! This is my second cycle off the pill and from what I understand this can be a normal side effect while your body is trying to regulate again, but I didn't expect it to be quite that short! Same thing happened last cycle too, but wasn't tracking ovulation then so can't be sure of the length, all I do know is that I ovulated around CD25 as I got painful nipples 4/5 days before AF came (same thing happened this cycle too).

I'm getting started on pregnacare and a vitamin b complex in hope it will help.

Is anyone else fairly fresh off the pill? How have you found it? xx

krj2608 · 18/06/2020 11:41

I also had a negative test at cd 30 with my first. I'm cd 30 today with faint positives x

@Sansa87 not to push you or get into your head, but I also had PMS style cramps (allbeit relatively mild) the week before, and then got
my BFP at 17dpo. I totally get your hesitation, I'm another that's scared of testing and wouldn't ever do it any earlier than 16dpo! But when you can muster the courage, go for it!

whambam89 · 18/06/2020 13:59

Another BFN this afternoon, going to sign out until AF arrives I think - good luck to those who are yet to test x

Sansa87 · 18/06/2020 14:21

@Darcy86 I keep getting that small thought in my head, but then worry I’m gonna get my hopes up.

I did have what I call a period poop this morning after a week of constipation. So had a little sadness. I want to test in the morning, but I think it might get her first, or I’ll wimp out. I’m guessing I can’t do afternoon?

Darcy86 · 18/06/2020 14:48

Pretty sure you can test in the afternoon, I think the recommendation is to hold it for a few hours if you can though. Generally the hcg is stronger in fmu - or so I hear - so it has a better chance of showing up, but I know others have tested and got bfps in the afternoon.

Sansa87 · 18/06/2020 15:24

@darcy86 that’s good to know. I’ve gone for a walk but i can still feel the cramps which doesn’t bode well 😔

PabsyPops · 18/06/2020 15:39

Well I'm officially out 😫 over and out to the July Pact thread!! Lots of luck everyone x

Boc86 · 18/06/2020 15:41

AF due Saturday 20th, i should be wiping brown tomorrow
Wiped what looked the same as my EWCM today and feel slightly nauseous every now and then and had a heavy crampy uterus yesterday and the day before at 6 and 7DPO

Bumblebei · 18/06/2020 17:05

@Sansa87 hi popped back in to see how you ladies are getting on. I second @Darcy86. Good luck when you find the courage to test, I honestly feel you will be seeing a bfp from what you’re describing as you’ve described everything I have felt 🙈

Darcy86 · 18/06/2020 17:11

@Sansa87 I am still feeling intermittent cramps now myself - from my short experience, PMS and early pregnancy have an awful lot of similarities!

One thing I used to do when gearing up for a test is think of just one plus side if the test came out negative, even though obviously the plus sides of a positive hugely outweighed it! It sounds silly but it helped calm me down a bit! I.e. my thought process would be - ok worst case if I'm not pregnant, at least OH and I can get pissed tonight. Somehow that logic was a comfort to me anyway...funny actually how it almost always revolved around alcohol Confused

Good luck, please keep us updated!

Sansa87 · 18/06/2020 17:39

This happened within 2 seconds. Just had a wee half hour before.

I’m not imagining it am I?

@Sansa87 omg! I knew it! Massive huge congrats! How do you feel?!

Boc86 · 18/06/2020 17:56

Definite positive! Congratulations

Sansa87 · 18/06/2020 17:59

Just In Tesco spending £20 on lots more to make sure.

I’m in shock. I’d gone and thrown the wee away, and was fully expecting a negative in a couple of minutes. I came back and walked to wards the table with oh just behind me but there was already that line.

krj2608 · 18/06/2020 17:59

Congratulations @Sansa87. Lovely news x

Sansa87 · 18/06/2020 18:17

Thankyou!

Omg. I just.... OMG.

I just hope it’s a sticky one. I think this is going to be the most nerve racking 12 weeks of my life!

I absolutely did not expect this to happen first cycle, especially being 33.
