Hello, looking for ladies with a similar cycle to mine, to discuss symptoms and get through the dreaded tww!

Dont do it @moominmiss!! I was doing it stupid early a few months ago and was so disheartening, even though I knew it was too early.
Have you been testing with IC or branded?

What about the rest of you ladies? Do you trust IC? I've been using cb or FR, but its so bloody expensive (and I keep thinking that its wasted money that could be saved for when/if I do get pregnant!)

Moominmiss · 05/06/2020 17:41

@30andTTC1 I know. Every month I tell myself I’ll be better and hold out, but as soon as I’m a few dpo I start obsessing.
It almost helps prepare me for af if I’ve seen a few bfn’s before it shows up.

I only test with IC, I have literally tons. I only test with a branded test like a frer if I see a line on an ic.

Babyyno2 · 05/06/2020 17:49

@Rotagilla I know I wish I could test everyday but I'm trying to keep busy and need to distract myself. I keep thinking I'm having symptoms but I think it's in my head!
Have you had any symptoms yet? Are you feeling positive? What tests do you use?

Sansa87 · 05/06/2020 17:53

@Rotagilla I’m 32 and this will be first bubba!

I tried with an ex about ten years ago, but nothing happened. Had tests and he had extremely low sperm count:

I’m on first circle with my lovely man. I went into it quite serious which probs wasn’t the best thing, as I pretty much feel like I’ve been ttc for 10 years.

I’m pretty sure it’s not my month. No reason other than I feel it, which means I’m going to be sad the whole 2ww but at least no disappointment, or a very happy surprise of my woman’s intuition is wrong!

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 18:11

@Moominmiss I know it's so tempting!

@30andTTC1
What's IC CBand FRER?

@Babyyno2 I have cheap cheap ones like you get in a hospital and saving a special first response one to nearer the time 😂

@BobbingAlong91Hello! Maybe implantation!? Exciting!

@Sansa87 there is a lot to be said about women's intuition! You sound like you have the right attitude.
First cycle I was desperate and then very disappointed. Now I feel more chilled. Well I did until it's nearly testing time!

Hey everyone, hope it's okay for me to join here.
I am due AF on the 16th and think I'm 1 or 2 Dpo. This is my first cycle for my third child.

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 05/06/2020 18:24

Symptom spotting: sore boobs which seem slightly bigger than usual? Don’t know whether that would be too early?

Tigger1987 · 05/06/2020 18:31

Can I please join too. AF is due around the 16th/17th. I am 33, about 2 DPO and it is cycle#2 trying for our second child (I have a little 3 year old boy). I told myself I would be more chilled this month after symptom spotting like mad last cycle but let's see how long that lasts!! Grin Not long if you look at my google search history!!

30andTTC1 · 05/06/2020 18:31

@rotagilla They are all test related
IC - internet cheapie
CB - clear blue
FRER - first response early result

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who didn't know, it took me ages! Too many pregnancy acronyms on here to keep up with 😂

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 18:39

Welcome @Tigger1987 and @Vix2007

So true @Tigger1987 I've just googled if sore teeth are a symptom 😂
I'm so hyper sensitive to any little feelings today.

@Vix2007 are you crazy symptom spotting, or trying to be chilled?

Thanks @30andTTC1 I'm useless at these!
I have lots of IC's and a special FRER for special occasions!

Sorry no idea why most of my messages are in bold Hmm

Babyyno2 · 05/06/2020 18:57

@Rotagilla where have you got your cheap cheap tests from? I keep using the clear blue 🤦‍♀️

Bumblebei · 05/06/2020 18:59

Hi all, can I join?

Due on 14th, think I’m 6 dpo as felt strong ovulation pains on 30th. Never know if pains mean before, during or after ovulation?

This is cycle 2 trying for number 3. Trying not to symptom spot as sent myself crazy last month lol

PabsyPops · 05/06/2020 19:03

Hi everyone! Please can I join?

I will be testing around the 20th. I'm 1 DPO now I think. Would love a BFP for my husbands birthday and Father's Day!

We are TTC #1. We are using the SMEP this time round 😊 we have been "casually" trying since I had the coil out in October 2019 but we've not really put that much effort in but now I'm obsessing!

I am 32 and husband is 33 😊I've got a really good feeling about this month but who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 19:47

@Babyyno2 I got them off eBay...a medical shop. I think I actually got them free when I brought ovulation tests.

Welcome @PabsyPops and @Bumblebei

@Bumblebei what were your pains like? I had some yesterday, quite strong, but I was 4dpo

@PabsyPops I really want a bfp for Father's Day....
What is SMEP?

OP posts:
BobbingAlong91 · 05/06/2020 19:50

Me too @FoxtrotOscarPoppet! But only sore on the sides, almost under my armpits 🤷🏼‍♀️

PabsyPops · 05/06/2020 19:51

@Rotagilla it's the 'sperm meets egg plan'...

1	Starting on the 8th day of your menstrual cycle, you have intercourse every other day.

2	On the 10th day of your menstrual cycle, you start using an ovulation prediction kit (OPK) daily until you get a positive result. A note about OPK tests, unless the test you’re using states otherwise, it’s actually better not to test with first morning urine. This is because the LH surge (hormonal surge that happens prior to ovulation, this is the surge the OPK test is reading) begins in the early morning and may not be apparent early in the morning. Since the surge builds as the day goes on, late morning or early afternoon is the best time to test.

3	You have intercourse on the day you get a positive result from your OPK kit and for the next two days in a row. You skip the fourth day and have intercourse again on the fifth day.

4	If you haven’t gotten your period 15 days after your positive OPK, it’s time for a pregnancy test.
whambam89 · 05/06/2020 20:01

Hi all, can I join? AF due the 16th but pretty sure I've ovulated late so may be later. 2nd cycle trying after an ovarian ectopic in February.

Vix2007 · 05/06/2020 20:03

@Rotagilla thanks for the

Vix2007 · 05/06/2020 20:05

That was meant to say thanks for the welcome and I accidentally posted.
I definitely symptom spot, they are phantom though I swear my body does it to wind me up!

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 20:08

Thankyou @PabsyPops
We've just done it everyday since day 6 🙄
If no luck this month I might look into more 'technical' ways to do it.
Il definitely look it up.

Welcome @whambam89 so sorry to hear about your ectopic. Fingers crossed for you this cycle.

I'm due bang on the 15th! obviously hoping AF doesn't arrive but can't trust my calculations as this is only the 2nd AF since having the implant out! Really really hoping though! Finger crossed for us all ❤️

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 20:11

@Vix2007 I know! Me and my partner agreed not to mention it until we can test....but it's so hard to ignore. I'm noticing every tiny little feeling 😂

OP posts:
Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 20:12

Welcome @BronzeSilverGold13
Same day as me!
How long will you hold off testing?
I'm thinking maybe next weekend!

OP posts:
BronzeSilverGold13 · 05/06/2020 20:19

@Rotagilla I haven't a clue when I'll test! I'm thinking of waiting to see if AF appears! Although I recent bought some cheap tests just incase I get impatient.

I was convinced I had symptoms last month but clearly not... I'm trying not to symptom spot this month. If my app Is correct I'm only 3dpo so won't have anything yet... I'm trying not to bug DP with it but I swear I feel different today like random little twinges here and there.
