Hi everyone

7DPO for me. I'm feeling so so tired yesterday and today and my emotions are everywhere! Not sure whether AF is on her way as I have some cramping on and off but going to try and hold off from testing.

I wish I could remember what my symptoms were like from my 1st pregnancy 🤦‍♀️

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 12:47

@Babyyno2 I'm the same - can't remember what symptoms I had first time round... I feel like I wasn't as crazy back then though, actually waited until the day AF was due to test haha

kirinm · 08/06/2020 12:54

@Babyyno2 I'm struggling to remember too and my DD is only 21 months ago. I vaguely remember having the odd wave of nausea from fairly early on and I also developed a cold but I can't remember if that was before or after AF was due. I don't think I got sore boobs which was odd at the time because I usually had sore boobs from ovulation. But since having my DD I don't seem to get many of the same "symptoms".

How old are your DC?

Babyyno2 · 08/06/2020 12:54

@whambam89 how old is your first?

Are you experiencing any symptoms yet or do you think they are just in your head like me 😂

Babyyno2 · 08/06/2020 12:57

@kirinm I had such a good pregnancy with my 1st I didn't get any sickness only a few migraines.
I remember my boobs being very sore - even when I walked up the stairs and that's what made me take a test. I came off the pill and me and my husband said "if it happens, it happens". However this time round I feel like I'm putting to much pressure on myself.

My DD is 22 months old!

kirinm · 08/06/2020 12:59

@Babyyno2 it's a great age isn't it? I've loved being around my DD since lockdown but she's back with her childminder now a couple of days a week so I can at least get some work done - although I'm now busy googling symptoms of course!

AlisonLew15 · 08/06/2020 13:09

@whambam89 I'm 12dpo today, my ovia app is saying I can test from today but I'm staying strong and not going near them. My period is due in a couple of days but no symptoms of that just yet either!
My husband always calls me a sniffer dog because I have such a strong sense of smell lol.

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 13:09

@Babyyno2 @kirinm my DD is 2.5 so a few months older - we had an ectopic in Feb, ideally would have liked a smaller age gap! Great age but hard work as well haha.

I can't decide if I have symptoms or if they're in my head - will find out soon enough I suppose! We had to wait 3 months after having the methotrexate injection to start trying again so this is the 1st month we've tried (half tried last month but was oh 2.5 months not 3 since the injection so I was a bit dubious about trying)

Definitely putting more pressure on myself this time round which I'm sure won't help!

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 13:10

@alisonlew15 Ahh fingers crossed for you! I'm really hoping I can stay away from testing until af is due on Sunday - If I do get a positive I'd love to tell OH on father's day but then that's a whole extra week of keeping it to myself 🙈 how long have you been trying?

kirinm · 08/06/2020 13:12

@whambam89 sorry to hear about your ectopic. I had one treated with methotrexate a long time ago (I'm quite old) and it was such a long drawn out miserable process so you have my greatest sympathy. Such a shitty thing to happen.

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 13:16

@kirinm it really is, so tough emotionally - especially because you still have HCG in your system for such a long time, you feel pregnant but know you're not! Sorry that you had to go through it as well. How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Did you go on to have a healthy pregnancy after the methotrexate?

kirinm · 08/06/2020 13:33

@whambam89 - I'm actually 42 now. The ectopic was a long time ago, maybe 11-12 years ago now. My HCG levels stayed at "pregnant" levels for weeks and weeks even after the methotrexate and I just remember having to go to the EPU every other day to have my bloods taken. It was so draining. I was such a familiar face that the nurse sent me a card when my results finally dropped to say "congratulations" i.e. the ordeal is over.

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks which I really struggled to get over and didn't try again until 2017 and got pregnant with my DD. Pregnancy was a bit of a nightmare to start with as I bled basically every week until 18w but after that, it was totally fine.

I've got a friend who is 37 weeks at the moment and she had two ectopics and lost a tube. This will be her second after the ectopics.

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 13:37

@kirinm oh wow you really have had a bad time of it Sad Mine also took weeks to drop, a 2nd injection was suggested but I didn't want to have to wait even longer to try again if I didn't have to.

Fingers crossed it's much easier for you this time round! How many dpo are you now?

AlisonLew15 · 08/06/2020 13:39

@whambam89 this is our 2nd month of trying, first month using the OPKs. I had a MMC last November that took til end of Jan/Feb to get sorted so only now feeling ready to start.

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 13:48

@AlisonLew15 fingers crossed for you, keep us updated!

Rotagilla · 08/06/2020 13:54

Hello all, been off here all weekend suffering with a sinus infection, just been catching up!

@Sansa87 Congratulations to you!!

Love all of these symptom spotting updates.

I feel awful due to infection but have really sore boobs and been really funny about food.

Can someone explain using opks as pregnancy tests? I'm confused...

And hello to any new ladies!

whambam89 · 08/06/2020 14:09

@Rotagilla they sound like positive symptoms! I've been off food today too, only just managed to eat something which is very unlike me.

I actually have no idea about using OPKs as pregnancy tests, I just know that I got a positive today and when I googled it can be due to pregnancy.. but it can also be because of an LH surge pre AF

BronzeSilverGold13 · 08/06/2020 15:44

Afternoon ladies, loving reading the updates, I've had some spotting today, or what I Hope is spotting and not AF over a week early. I'm on 6dpo so should be about the right time for spotting just hope it stops today or tomorrow and doesn't get any stronger!

Sansa87 · 08/06/2020 16:11

Please tell me to bugger off,
I feel like I’m spamming the thread 😂

So I’ve come home from work, and I can smell is cat wee. Now, our cats never have accidents, but I’ve checked. Both litter trays look fine, and oh is very meticulous doing them twice a day.

I’m waiting for him to get home from work and see if he can smell it as strong as I can, or if I’ve suddenly developed an aversion to The smell. Thing is, I’ve now sprayed air freshener everywhere as I could cope with it.

He’s also just told me we have a viewing booked in for a new build house on Sunday.

There is no way that I am going to get an engagement, pregnancy, & house in 1 week, let alone one month, surely 😂

Sansa87 · 08/06/2020 16:11

@BronzeSilverGold13 oooh I have everything crossed for you!

PabsyPops · 08/06/2020 16:22

@Sansa87 they do say good things come in 3s 🤞🏽

Karanciri · 08/06/2020 16:44

@LeopardLover Definitely feel like its our cycle!

I always wonder about symptoms just a few days DPO, I am trying to tell myself that it can't be anything but its very hard. I am 5DPO and I have started feeling a little rough in the morning and crampy.

Mind you the past 5 cycles I have felt like this. It may be me adjusting to coming off the pill. Does anyone else get weird feelings after ovulation?

BronzeSilverGold13 · 08/06/2020 16:59

@Sansa87 thank you, I really hope it's okay. How many DPO are you? I noticed you mentioned earlier about your skin, mines terrible this week around my chin area. I've also had a bit of a stronger sense of smell this week too so fingers crossed it's all symptoms!

claireb707 · 08/06/2020 17:17

I've been feeling a bit crampy today too (also 5dpo)

30andTTC1 · 08/06/2020 17:34

Just been catching up on all the messages on here, sounds like there are some good symptoms amongst everyone!

I think there are a few of us on here that should be about 10ish dpo now, anyone tested? Or have you managed to find them and fight the urge??

Ive had horrendous heart burn the last few nights, so bad that it kept up me all night on Saturday :( I have never had it that bad in my life. Possibly a symptom..? Did anyone get heartburn this early with a previous pregnancy?
