I don't think I have any embarrassing stories with my husband but when I was about 18 I was in my bfs bedroom, he was going down on me like fully under the covers and his dad walked straight in. Worst bit was he didn't even leave, he asked him a question, the boyf answered (from under the bedcover 🙃) and he left. All whilst I'm laid there like a mute blow up doll! Awful. His dad hated me anyway so that's probably why he didn't leave hahaha.

Hey all, chronic lurker, first poster!

Can I join the bus?!

I’m 30, ttc #1 on cycle 3. Both my best friends conceived first try within a week of each other so needing some outside support as don’t want to rain on their parade!

This will be my first month trying CB ovulation tests. I came off the pill in March and have had 24-29 day cycles since. I normally get very bad ovulation pain for about 24 hours-does anyone else experience this? I’m interested to see does it align with what the strips say.

Wondering if you could advise with the CB once I get a smiley face do you stop testing? Does the test kind of not work again? The packaging has advised to start testing on day 6 which is tomorrow. So I think I will be testing for a BFP on 20thish of June.

So happy to have found what seems to be a great support group. I hope DP is ready for what I have in store this FW 😂😂

I’ve just had my darkest line on opk I’m so happy !!! Relieved my body seems to be back to normal after years of the coil.

Hello @Sydgal22 ! I’ve just started testing with the CB and they say to test once a day until you get a flashing smiley (high fertility) then once you get a static it stays for 48 hours and won’t let you test again till next cycle.

Please can I join? I’m 27 and ttc #2. DS1 was a surprise present 🤩 so have never actually done this before? I’ve been trying to track my O using cb and I based my dates from last month am usually regular with 28 days but I’ve had nothing but O results. Been dtd every other day anyways, then yesterday had some stomach cramps and what can only be described as a bubble popping feeling?

Completely feel like i don’t know why I’m doing. 🤦‍♀️

@watermelonwizard thanks so much that’s great! I could technically be day 6 today depending on what they determine as bleeding so I might take one just for fun today 😂

I found a trick, bare with me, it will make sense, I read on the app on my phone, it is easier to bookmark and follow the thread, but I write on the browser on the iPad, cos it lets me tag with the filling names, also I can pause, reply and carry on reading, clearly I have too much time and am far too invested in this group

Your frequency of sex (shower wanks) theory makes a lot of sense @Skip86! 🤣 It does feel like nothing at all sometimes, which to be fair can be quite convenient, except for TTC.

But as mentioned before, the actual volume is not the main thing, so hopefully not too damaging. 🤞🏻

I had a previous long term relationship, and I’m sure he was very keen on his solo sessions. But still, it was hard to stand after we DTD without having it all dripping down my legs, so I guess I must be comparing two very different men. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Had a few other partners but mainly used condoms, so can’t be quite sure. 😂

Would you say this is low or high on an IC? I’ve been using CB and had flashing smileys for nearly 2 weeks, on CD25 with long cycles and haven’t had any other lines on the ICs I’ve done for the past few days. Flo recently changed its prediction to 4 days time, Femometer says it should be today. I’ll test again at 2 and 6 but just wanted to see what you all thought!

On the topic of alfresco sex, my dad moved in with us for a while at the start of the year after splitting from my mum, so sex was off the cards but we were desperate. We drove to what we thought was an abandoned car park and DTD. Then a car turned up and drove right up to us with the lights on full. And then the two "abandoned" cars in the car park also turned their lights on. I've never physically frozen while sat on top of someone before 😳😳😳

Happy Thursday everyone! These stories are making my day, so nice to have such a supportive group. Today is 8DPO for me and have resolved not to test again until next week after a BFN yesterday. I am experiencing a bit of pinching feeling but probably just wishful thinking so I'm ignoring it for now and not getting my hopes up.

Er and @Skip86, @KateColx shower wanks?? I missed that one?! Our toddler often showers with one of us in the morning & thinks it’s hilarious when water drips off our bits. Totally scarred for life. Prob not right to try for another but hey ho

@notyetamumbuttrying My sister was trying for 4years and eventually had IVF(unexplained infertility as her and her husband tests were all fine) So when me and hubby started trying last year we took a proactive approach(as I didn’t want to wait 4years like she did) and went to docs straight away and had all the blood tests/sperm tests/ultrasounds and everything came back fine!
I’ve applied to go down the IVF route(told a white lie and said we’de been trying over two years)
I know in the grand scheme of things 12months isn’t that long but it really is when you are just so desperate!! I would defo recommend going to the doctors if you reach 12months though and having some blood tests(hopefully you don’t reach that mark🤞🏼) x

@LKSF this is really interesting that you were proactive in your testing. I thought docs wouldn’t refer before 12 months or does it just depend?

I had ultrasounds done late last year due to unexplained pelvic pain but all normal, as were my bloods.

My only big worry is my partner is quite overweight (and is 35 this year) and I’ve read a lot of things about how males being overweight has an impact on ttc. I’m normal weight (prob could loose 5/6 pounds but not going to beat myself up over that especially in isolation!)

I wonder is there any worth in taking a proactive approach?

There’s those at home sperm test kits too they sell them in boots for about £30 if anyone was worried about that. We did it last time we were TTC because I just wanted to check all was good! It was thankfully and me and DH had a laugh at the science experiment (he was also intrigued to check his tadpoles were all well in the tank so that helped that he was happy to oblige!) we had no reason to think there was a problem but a friend of mine had also made her OH do this so I thought why not! X

@Sydgal22 well I came off the pill three years ago due to other side effects so luckily I could like and tell them I had been trying a lot longer than I originally had, I think for me it always played on my mind that I would have something wrong with me and wouldn’t be able to conceive so it was price of mind as it did make me read a lot more and thinks we’ll surely it’s got to happen 🤷🏻‍♀️ (that thinking didn't last very long lol)
It’s a tough one with being over weight but you see so many overweight ppl as mums/dads so surely it can’t play a massive part?! I’d say I’m borderline underweight but I try not to stress myself out about because again so many underweight mums out there! I think you should pay a visit to your doctors though, it won’t do any harm 😌 how long have you been TTC?

@Sydgal22 I didn’t think they would either but I phoned the doctors this morning to ask about 21 day bloods, said I’d been trying for near on a year (this is month 9), and the gp agreed do them! Gp also said they would do day 3 bloods as well. I did mention my partner has had a vasectomy reversal and there is a risk of scaring after a year so not sure if that swayed the Gp or not 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wanted them done more for my piece of mind, my partners results after 3 months came back fine which should improve over time! There is no harm in asking?

@lucyrp I've had some more brown spotting this morning, has yours eased up at all? I feel like I've got slight cramping feelings too but trying not to read too much into it 😂 FRERs aren't as expensive as CB so they're a good one to use, I bought a pack of the cheapy like strip ones off amazon too which is good just for just getting peeing on a stick out of your system haha, which seems to become an obsession for me around 10 DPO 😂👀
