@ELM7 oh no! Sorry 😞

Leok83 · 04/06/2020 16:55

@ELM7 &@scrumdiddly123 so sorry AF arrived for you both😢 make sure to have lots of chocolate or wine and spoil yourselves. xx

@Annny27 how lovely would it be for you to get a BFP from ov on your due date..I really hope it happens for you. I’m not sure wether to count today as CD1 or ovulation day cause ran out of opks! Had small temp rise today so will wait a couple days and see what fertility friends logs as ovulation and go with that!

@SunnySideUp2020 that’s really great they can clear the polyps and you can get back to trying straight away..must feel good to get all those issues sorted and start on a clean slate.

My bloods all came back good so far. Even though my last TSH last year was 3.2 and gp thought might need meds it came back as 2.28 and no thyroids antibodies so doesn’t look like I’ll need meds after all. Have my referral appointment with gynae booked for sat the 13th now.

scrumdiddly123 · 04/06/2020 19:18

Sorry @ELM7, hope you’re ok xx

ApplePie86 · 04/06/2020 19:51

Hello,

Hoping I can join you lovely lot 😊

Have had my first miscarriage (and first pregnancy) over the last few weeks. It was extremely early but took around 3 weeks to completely go (in fact there's still HCG from today's blood test). I was bleeding and in lots of pain for the full 3 weeks which was an absolute delight 🙄. Genuinely didn't think such an early loss could be that painful 😞

I think I ovulated the day the bleeding stopped CD18 so I'm about 3DPO today. Only DTD CD17 and 18 and given the circumstances I'm not holding much hope although I did hear that you're more fertile the month after miscarrying so maybe that's promising.

Hoping you all get your BFPs this cycle 🤞

ELM7 · 04/06/2020 20:11

@scrumdiddly123 sorry AF got you too. Hope you are doing ok.

It’s so frustrating when it’s all you want and do so much but yet can’t control when it happens. Oh well back to POAS addiction in 10days with OPKs.

@SunnySideUp2020 really pleased to hear how positive your Dr was. Hope you will be getting your BFP really soon.

SunnySideUp2020 · 04/06/2020 20:37

@Leok83 is your appointment for reccurent mc referral? Or the fertility mot?

Good thyroid is really important. According to my doc here... so that's definitely one thing on your side! She said the lower the better to have a smart baby (huh) lol

@ApplePie86 welcome and sorry you find yourself here... from having followed this group since Jan i can say there isn't really such a thing as more fertile after a MC (more of a myth). But definitely good outcomes in the first couple of cycles after..most of us here are already a few cycles post MC but still very much obsessed and into the ttc like every month will be our month! So you found the right place 😊
And btw for this cycle you definitely have a chance. All you need is one time 💙

Annny27 · 04/06/2020 21:42

Evening all :)

@Leok83 I guess no harm in counting today as ovulation day and then you have all bases covered! We DTD every day for the 3 days before ovulation so hopefully one of those sperms met the egg haha!

@ApplePie86 sorry you find yourself here :( we also miscarried our first pregnancy and now 6 months on and still ttc so like @sunnysideup2020 says, I don't think you are more fertile after miscarriage unfortunately! Well none of us have experienced that anyway haha

Annny27 · 04/06/2020 21:50

P.s not sure if she will see this but congratulations to @disneymummysince2010 who was on our previous thread- she just got her bfp i saw on another thread:D and was with us from the start so there's hope for us ladies too :D

Congratulations if you do see this @Disneymummysince2010 :D

OP posts:
ApplePie86 · 04/06/2020 22:25

Oh no @Annny27 @SunnySideUp2020

Well that's disappointing. Maybe I'll just pretend it still does - until it doesn't happen and I'm still here this time next year 😞

Hope we still get some BFPs here soon 😀

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/06/2020 06:33

Niceeee congrats to @disneymummysince2020 !!!

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/06/2020 06:34

2010* lol 😆

Annny27 · 05/06/2020 09:27

morning everyone:) I love this part of the cycle - still early enough that I feel hopeful haha! 2/3dpo today

@SunnySideUp2020 are you having any pain after your procedure?

@ApplePie86 I hope you prove all us cynical ttcers wrong and get your bfp first cycle:D

OP posts:
Leok83 · 05/06/2020 19:26

@SunnySideUp2020 it’s for recurrent MC and then if they fee like they need to refer me to fertility from there I think they will. I read about the thyroid being really important alright..didn’t know it made them smart tho😄

@Annny27 ya I find the first few days post ov always seems like it’s gonna be good..until about 7 dpo and the urge to POAS starts!!

@ApplePie86 sorry you find yourself here with us but welcome. It’s a great place to be for support.xx

So my temp had a good increase today so I’d say I’ve def ovulated yesterday at the latest. I never really got much CM at all tho. What was there was watery and def not EWCM, then today theres small amount EWCM. Really odd. Fertility friends won’t mark ov yet as not enough days of high temps yet but I’d be surprised if the EWCM is that I still haven’t ovulated.

Hows everyone else doing?
@Fizzl any sign of anything happening yet?

Fizzl · 05/06/2020 20:07

Hi guys 😄 sorry been a bit m.i.a (just like my period 😒) have had a hectic few days at work!

There's a lot to catch up on!

Sorry af arrived @scrumdiddly123 and @ELM7

@Annny27 that would be very poetic and lovely! At this rate I have a feeling the only thing turning up on my due date is going to be my period just as another kick in the teeth.

Glad all has come back good with you @Leok83 hopefully this is a good sign.

Sorry you're here with us @ApplePie86. Like others have said we've not really found ourselves more fertile after mc sadly. I think it's just luck of the draw, but nothing to say you won't get lucky first time! Just try not to be disheartened if it doesn't happen. The good news is that the majority of the ladies who have been on this thread are now pregnant and have moved on. We're the long-timers now still ploughing on! (Although I've only actually been trying again since March after mc in nov)

My period is still nowhere to be seen. I've read so many things now about what to expect (someone needs to ban me from google). Some say that your cycle just reverts back the first month after a missed period, others say it can take sometime to 'reset' and some say you might need meds to get your cycle back on track. I'm hoping that mine just reverts back so I'm still peeing on opk's on CD43 😑 just incase. I just can't see how my uterus would be in any fit shape to support a pregnancy tho after the brown spotting. Pretty sure it's just old and a bit shabby now and that worries me. I did suggest to my husband we just wait again now until af arrives and start again with a clean slate but then I wonder how people with PCOS get on when they have long cycles and realise I'm probably worrying unnecessarily.

My GP is going to contact me with swab results next week so I might check it out with them. This gp also seemed more clued up so I'm going to ask about my short LP and see if there is any link.

ApplePie86 · 05/06/2020 20:23

Thanks for such a warm welcome everyone.

Sorry to hear you've been here a while.

To be honest it was a miracle actually getting a BFP in the first place - I've been off contraception for 4 years and have PCOS. Still being positive though and I'm sure it'll happen some way or another.

Felt ovulation pain for 3 full days this time which was unusual - hoping that's giving me an extra chance but who knows.

I think if AF doesn't turn up when expected I may hold off testing for at least another week just so I don't get excited then disappointed if the same happens again. I'm a weird POAS non-addict 😂

BeeMakesTea · 05/06/2020 21:06

So I had my D&C today, thankfully it all seems to have gone ok. They even saw me first thing so I was home by 2pm. Feeling a little bit fragile but not too bad considering. Thank you for all your kind and reassuring words, it really helped to remember that plenty of people go through this and are fine.

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/06/2020 07:50

Gald it all went ok @ApplePie86
Take care of yourself x

Annny27 · 06/06/2020 08:49

Morning everyone:D came downstairs this morning and my DH has got everything out of the cupboard and onto the living room floor so I think its going to be a sorting out day for us today 🤣🤣

@BeeMakesTea glad its all over for you 💗 I found the week after the operation I was very emotional, and on day 5 afterwards I cried all day and have never been that sad. So its totally normal if you feel really sad 💗

@fizzl thats so frustrating that no sign of AF :( yeah don't think of it as old uterus lining, it probably never became thick in the first place and when your cycle restarts, your uterus lining will then start thickening so it will be a lovely home for potential baby xx

@ApplePie86 it will happen for you again just might take some time. I know people who tried to conceive for years and then on their 2nd pregnancy conceived right away!

@Leok83 yeah its around 8dpo for me that I start getting twitchy to test haha

@sunntsideup2020 have you had any bleeding after your procedure?

@ELM7 @scrumdiddly123 hope AF isn't too painful!

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 06/06/2020 10:28

@BeeMakesTea the message was for you i tagged @ApplePie86 by accident x

@Annny27 i bled the equivalent of a pad right after and since then it's only Brown spotting so all good!!! Enjoy the sorting out, a good clear out is always good!

Nuggetlover27 · 06/06/2020 10:30

Hi ladies,
Hope you're all well.
It's been a while since I've posted but have been thinking of a lot of you from the original thread this month who would have been so close to being mums now. (I would have been due next week too)

I'm still on my TTC journey! It's frustrating as hell!
I am a bit of a control freak 😳 and can't understand what's going wrong? Haha

Anyway I am after some advise, does anyone use the clear blue digital tests? (Circle for normal days, flashing smiley for fertile coming up to ovulation then solid smiley at ovulation) ??

Last month I got some of these ovulation tests (pack of 10) and started testing CD12 (I have been having around 35 day cycles since my MC). Anyway I got 3 flashing smilies on CDs 19,20&21 but ran out of sticks. Obviously wasn't successful in conceiving.

So this month I got a pack of 20, started testing a bit earlier on CD10. I'm now on CD 23 and I've had 8 flashing smileys in a row!!!!!

I don't understand, does this mean I'm not ovulating this month? Which confuses me because I always get heavy periods every 5weeks or so

Any advise welcome 🙂

Annny27 · 07/06/2020 07:18

Morning everyone :D 4dpo here :D

@Nuggetlover27 I personally haven't used them but I remember some people saying that the first month you use it, you end up with more flashing smileys than normal months as it determines what your hormone slevels are. Might be worth posting a specific clearblue digital thread and some others who have used them may help :)

@SunnySideUp2020 not too bad then! Are you doing opks this month or taking it relaxed?

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 07/06/2020 07:41

Morning :)

@annny how are you doing??

i am doing opks yes! But will only start on CD15 as my peak is never before. And now i dont really need to start doing them esrly i think... it's just a waste of money and it worries me for no reason!

Today is firsy day of fertile week and my doc to start dtd today, but everywhere online says to wait one to two weeks at least- and it's only been 3-4 days.
After debating we dtd yesterday 😅 very slowly and gently and dp didn't finish inside (sorry for tmi) so it went well no pain and no blood apart from the brown spotting.
Obviously we were feeling super guilty after thinking i might get an infection... so now we will wait for Tuesday CD14 to resume.

Fizzl · 07/06/2020 10:30

Morning all :)

@BeeMakesTea glad everything has gone well. Look after yourself and make sure your oh pampers you!

@Annny27 hope your clear out went well yesterday! I always find a good sort out quite therapeutic. I hope you're right about my lining, I think I'm worrying unnecessarily. I'm hoping now everything seems to be opening back up that I'll be able to get to see an acupuncturist which might help.

@Nuggetlover27 welcome back. I'm with you being a control freak. My body has also gone to pot and I'm questioning daily what's gone wrong?! I'm the healthiest and least stressed I've been for years and my for the first time ever my body has decided it's not going to play ball and I've not had a period since April. Can't advise about clear blue as never used them (waaaay to expensive when your addicted to poas and use 3 a day just to make sure you don't miss the surge 😂🤦🏼‍♀️). All I can say is I've not ovulated this month and not had a period so it's probably a good sign if you have regular bleeds and maybe you just missed your peak?

@SunnySideUp2020 glad you're recovering well. If you doctor said to only leave it a few days they can't have been too concerned about risk of infection. I think after my surgery we were just advised to wait until the bleeding stopped but if it's just brown blood then I was told that's old blood slowly making its way out so you're probably all good.

Still no update for me on period watch 😑 I'm hoping now I ovulate over the next week as I should have if my body hadn't hit pause and AF arrives around CD60 so my cycle gets back to normal. If that doesn't happen then I will start to worry (more) I think. I just don't understand why now of all the times this has happened. So frustrating. I remember thinking in April we've got two more shots before our due date in June and then this happens. Typical.

Hi ladies, not normally one to comment on these things but I’ve been struggling lately and after some advise from others who have had experienced similar. I had a miscarriage at the beginning of March which was my first pregnancy. This week I was a few days late and thought I could be pregnant again, I’ve been feeling tired, nauseous the last couple of weeks but then my period appeared yesterday. Becoming a mum is all I can think about, made harder with friends announcing they are expecting also, which of course I am so happy for them but it makes my heart hurt that little bit more. I’m worrying that my time well never come.
