Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

@Bearhug9 aw sweetheart, I think you have a much better chance than me lol, 45 here and trying for the first time. While I'm saving up to get IVF with a donor egg.

There are lovely supportive people here so I think you're in the right place, hope you get your bfp soon FX x

Lynnysong · 20/05/2020 19:32

@Lemonlimeorange just saw your post lol yeah totally cheeky. And there are sleezy guys on there wanting sex too. I quite like the guys with kids already offering. And there are some lovely posts from guys that sound genuine and nice, especially from ones that want to be dads.

@Loladoodle If I'm going to coparent, I would like a decent guy, it's nice that guys are offering. I didn't think anyone would offer when they saw my age.

Happyhappy37 · 20/05/2020 20:53

@Bearhug9 welcome. we are the same age. Wishing good luck. Hoping we all get BFP soon🤞🏾

Hoping to see some BFP pictures in here soon 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Have a great day ladies 😊

Thanks for the welcome @Lynnysong @happyhappy37 Smile. Fingers crossed for us all. I'm only CD9 at the moment...

Loladoodle · 21/05/2020 09:35

Morning everyone and welcome to the new ladies who have joined. I’m so rubbish at remembering who posted what!

Not tracking ovulation but I would guess it was probably yesterday or the day before (cd10/11) as had a few cramps and I have short cycles (23-25 days) so I ovulate quite early. So will go with 1dpo! The agony begins! I’m always so rational at this point def not expecting it to happen quickly... but by next week No doubt I’ll be a raving lunatic 😩

Kay00 · 21/05/2020 09:51

Hi Ladies, i'm 35 in July, have been with my patner for 17 years but we have only just made the decision to TTC ! I am a little worried I have left it to late, but it is really nice to find lots of other ladies in the same boat :)

I am still taking the pill but this will be my final month, then we plan to use other methods of protection for a month of so whilst my body gets its natural rhythem back... and I will be taking folic acid.

Good luck to you all, uch an exciting time!

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 09:52

I'm cd 31, 18dpo and my temp went back up. My fertility app is all excited because it thinks I'm bfp. But I'm pretty sure I can feel af starting and the reason my period was late was the progesterone cream. And my temp went up because of a beer I had yesterday. I will not be getting all excited like my app. I'll keep you guys posted. :)

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 09:54

@Loladoodle lol we will hold your hands when become a lunatic next week. At least you pre-warned us. 😂
My cycle was quite short last month as well , I only realised this yesterday 23 day cycle. Usually a 28-30 day cycle

@Bearhug9 fingers crossed for you 🤞🏾

@Kay00 welcome. You still have time don't worry to much.

You and yours seem to have a good strategy. Wishing you good luck and positive energy. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

@Lynnysong 16dpo is long. Have you taken a test yet? Your temps have been doing the most. I don't know anything about the progesterone cream. So how does it work?
What does it do?

Morning all and welcome to new ladies! @Lynnysong sounds like you've been through a fair few ups and downs- I hope you find the right donor soon.
Got my flashing smiley yesterday so got down to business (surprised DH somewhat!) GrinWink Checking again this morning...
So what are thoughts on how often to DTD during fertile window? Daily? Alternate days? (Do the swimmers need a rest?)
I should be starting 2ww in next few days, but not v hopeful as only just got IUD removed- so goodness knows what's going on in there!Blush
Hope everyone has a nice day!

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 10:24

@Happyhappy37
I'm 18dpo and the test at 16dpo was negative. Af cramps are starting.

Progesterone is the hormone that gets your womb ready for implantation and it also stops your period. It comes from the follicle that released the egg. When the egg implants it makes HCG (pregnancy tests detect it) which stops the follicle collasping.

So no implantation = follicle collapse = progesterone drops = period.
Progesterone supplements and the pill too, can delay periods. I used a bit much lol

Hi to all the newbies and good luck to all of you!
Its so hard to keep up to date with all the going's on here😂

Currently 8DPO. I had a huge temperature dip yesterday and its back up this morning. Although taking my BBT this am prob isnt accurate as I've been on and off sleeping since 4am.
Had a terrible nights sleep!
Had bad cramps, left and right sides then central last night and now pains which feel like they're shooting in undesireable places!
Feel a bit heady today, bit sick and dizzy.
Not going to read into it though, its too early!!

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 10:27

@Lynnysong Thank you for that information. 👍🏿😊

@musiceverywhere I've heard every other day is advised for bd. Have lots of fun FX

I study science and do lots of research :)

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 10:33

@Flutterby8 hope all is well with you. Your symptoms sound promising. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏾
I've been noticing a few lil symptoms here and there. Trying not pay attention to it, because it's so soon after ovulation, so for me I think it's just hormones doing the most.

@Happyhappy37 hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ Sorry I’ve kind of been MIA but thank you for thinking of me.

I’ve been worrying myself (hopefully unnecessarily) about the fact my periods for the last few months since my mc have become much lighter. I used to bleed for 4 days and need to use tampons each of the days. Now I only need a tampon the first 2 days. The last 2 days is just a bit of very light blood when I wipe and not every time. I just have myself convinced that it means I’m entering into perimenopause and that I won’t be able to conceive or carry another baby.
I’m now cd5 so will begin testing for ovulation in another 4 or 5 days To see if anything is gearing up to happen. I’ve taken the soy again from cd3 and will stop that on cd7 so will see if that makes any difference again.
I suppose I’m just trying hard not to get consumed but I’m only kidding myself as I do every month!

I hope you’re doing ok too?

It’s so nice to see so many others joining this thread, it’s definitely nice to have company from people in the same or similar circumstances!

musiceverywhere · 21/05/2020 11:09

Loving the info @Lynnysong thank you! As I haven't tracked ovulation/cycle at all for years, I was a bit nervous in case I have a really quick surge and my flashing smiley face yesterday would be a static today and we'd only DTD once! Hmm Anyway it's ok- still flashing away- so will give DH a night off Grin *
*
Well done to those who get past 6DPO and don't test- very good willpower. I will need it. (Maybe helps that we don't have any tests in the house! And really not v optimistic this cycle, but good to start getting get cycle knowledge sorted anyway.

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 11:12

@Moominmiss so glad to hear from you 😊😊. Please see your GP or have a telephone consultation and express your concerns.

Yes definitely start testing for ovulation.

The lighter period may not be anything. Every since I started my period as teenager to now they have always been light and last mostly 3 days, as I got in my early 30s probably about 33 onwards my period is now 5 to 7 days but not heavy.
Also I've never suffered from period pains ever. Don't have any PMS. The most I experience the day before period is a slight weakness in my knees and ankles.

Hi everyone!

I am 34 and currently trying for baby number 3. I have 2 girls, ages 11 and 5 😊

Only been trying since the end of April after coming off the pill but I am already becoming obsessed with pregnancy tests!

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s TTC stories
