Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Ladies thank you so much, I'm in shock. I honestly thought AF was just running late after the negative the other day. I must have ovulated late. Wow.

@lucieloos that's a tricky situation to be in. Can he not get some help from GP to improve his sex drive.
My Mr don't have a clue what's happening, he's not saying no to sex, he complain he's not getting enough of yet. Even though I know we are TTC. We are doing nothing differently really. I used easy@home a few times as I had just come off the pill.

Talk to him because it's not nice if you are the initiating sex all the time. Does he not want to conceive as much as you do?

Well on impulse as usual (what is wrong with me) I did one is the cb digi knowing full well it would be negative - I justified it because we are having a lot of shellfish on the bbq today and some wine/cocktails and wanted to know before I partake in that. Obvs it said “not pregnant” which I already knew would be horrid to read. I’m not even due af until Thur (ish) so wouldn’t pick it up anyway I’m sure! Moral of the story is I’m crazy and I’ve just wasted a cb digi - disgusted with myself... I’m sure the wine/cocktails will ease the pain later. I do feel crampy today wouldn’t be surprised if the witch 🧙‍♀️ showed up early actually!

Lucieloos that’s a tough issue I’m sure the more pressure the lower his sex drive goes. Would it work to not mention it and just get the aul lingerie on 😉 lots of flirting and hopefully get him in the mood without the mention of ovulation?

Lucieloos question for you was this always your mn name? If so I’m pretty sure we were on the mn buses together 5ish years ago? (I’ve name changed since then)

I guess that's maybe the better way to go about it but just feels like I always need to make so much effort to get him to do it. That might work once or twice but it's still not going to give me the week of dtd that I really need. I guess that's not ever going to happen. Just wish he was one of these men that actually looked forward to trying for a baby cos meant they get loads of sex every month but he isn't. I wonder if this was our issue in the first place before we had a our first 2 children via ivf as there was never really any other major issues identified. I just yearn for a third baby so much and it's hard to accept it's prob never going to happen. Although I do realise how lucky we are having 2 especially with all we've been through.

@lucieloos I was Mama (infamous as was on the buses wayyy too long took 3 years!!!)

We def had quite a few chats! ☺️ Things have changed I have since divorced, met new man and ttc again, so hoping not to have similar issues as the situation then was that we were ref for ivf due to ex H fertility issues. My tests were all fine. And then it happened naturally just before we were due to begin ivf.

I know it’s hard not to be disheartened, I guess it’s something you have dealt with for some time and I’m sure it gets frustrating particularly when ttc. Has he looked in to anything to increase his sex drive? Have you researched anything? Would oysters for tea every night be too obvious? (I jest) maybe see if he is prepared to try and get something to improve his sex drive, explain that time is not on your side and you want to throw everything at it. Hope this helps, can’t be easy.

@Loladoodle ahh i remember! I guess we were both on those buses way too long! It's great that it did eventually work for you though. Do you currently just dtd all through your cycle or do you use opks etc? Do you tell your partner when your fertile time is or just try and initiate something? I guess it's not that he won't do it. If I mention something later he would do it tonight and probably tomorrow I just wish that we had decided to try for a baby and so he would take the initiative and instigate things quite a bit even if we don't do it scientifically around fertile time.

Lucieloos we dtd a lot first half of cycle I’m not so much in the mood last part of cycle. If he will do it, I would just continue initiating it for the purpose of ttc... of course it would be lovely for you if he initiated but sometimes you just gotta take the bull by the horns and crack on with initiation to really try for the baby you want. That’s why I’d do but I know in real terms it must be difficult

Gutted ladies af arrived suppose maybe cycles regulating from implant.. We will just carry on..
Luckily my fiance sex drive is high so barely a day goes by without dtd so im hopeful when body has regulated we will be lucky..
Gutted i had all those days of nausea maybe was hormones regulating again

@matilda sorry to hear af arrived. Unfortunately pms symptoms are so similar to early preggo symptoms due to progesterone rise in both. So the second half of cycle can often mean some have nausea, food aversions, dizziness, sore boobs due to that which makes us get our hopes up. I usually experience all of those things before af nothing new this month apart from crampy but could mean af enroute sooner than I think. Off for cocktails and bbq to try and forget about ttc for a day at least! It’s beginning to consume me and I really wanted to avoid that 😕

So wine date night it is. Fiance was very supportive when told him af had arrived!
Our new bedroom extension is nearly finished after being left due to covid19 so his chuffed we can continue to dtd and enjoy new room! Im sure our bfp will come soon!

Congratulations to the recent bfps, lovely to read. I'm currently on cycle #6 TTC, 13dpo, but BFN this morn. ☹️ Had weird cramps on day 8/9 dpo and bad mood swings since, but prob just pmt. I have been having early ovulation the last few months, but managed to get to day 13 this month, so had my hopes up for this cycle, but looks like I'm out now.

Anyone else have early ovulation?

Need to catch up on this thread to get to know everyone. X

@13dpo it's still early so don't give up yet. I am at 15dpo today haven't even bought a test.

@Happyhappy37 wow, you have great will-power not testing yet. Do you have any symptoms? 🤞for you.
I buy a bunch of internet cheapie strips and start testing about 11dpo every month. 😂 I know I should stop and wait till AF is late, but can't resist.

@Posy1 I have been having some symptoms, but symptoms of what really. Now that's the question? As we have seen, heard, read and know, it could be progesterone, impending af or pregnancy or our bodies just love to play wicked games on us 😂😂

Pregnancy is so long as well and finding out later makes it a little bit shorter.😄
