Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

@Szalinski Glad it's not just me shining a light! I'm too cheap to use a proper test though because I know in my heart I'm not pregnant. I don't know why I like to POAS so much. Sorry for your BFN, roll on AF x

Bearhug9 · 27/05/2020 18:09

Hi ladies, just catching up on all your posts, its been a busy few days at work. Its nice to see so many of us on the thread. I think I'm 1 day PO today....actually got a convincing peak on the ovulation strips yesterday which hasn't always happened before!

Happyhappy37 · 27/05/2020 18:15

@Loladoodle lol I'll probably test if my period doesn't show up. I don't have hpt at home.

@Happyhappy37 When is af due?

I am so cranky couldn’t be anything other than pms! 🤪 why is everyone so annoying?! Obvs isn’t me 🥺

Loladoodle · 27/05/2020 19:23

Can you social distance from your own family in your own house? Asking for a friend 🤯

MrsTtobe · 27/05/2020 20:17

@Loladoodle 😂😂 I feel your pain. My OH just keeps falling to sleep 🙈 and it's really annoying me! And my daughter today is on another level of sassy!! X

Happyhappy37 · 27/05/2020 20:24

@Loladoodle 2nd of june

@Sleeeeepy - I think that made it even worse, a BFN on the gold standard of tests, can detect pregnancy 6 days before period etc! So that proved beyond any doubt that I'm not pregnant Grin

Sorry to hear you're also anticipating AF. You're doing the right thing by not testing though. It's just not worth that shitty feeling of only seeing one line.

Oh well, on to the next cycle. I've had a nice big drink and a prawn dinner tonight!

lydiangel83 · 27/05/2020 21:16

Hi ladies keeping fx for everybody here. I've taken 2 BFP tests this week but can't quite believe it. I don't feel any symptoms at all so but paranoid it's not real. AF was due a few days ago but had week of bleeding and spotting the following week after ovulation. I didn't have this with first baby so am worried it means something bad as seemed heavy to be implantation bleeding. Not sure when I will start believing it but switched to decaf coffee today 'just in case' Blush

lydiangel83 · 27/05/2020 21:17

Actual point of my post was to ask ladies who have had more than one baby whether they felt different in pregnancy 2nd time round?

Loladoodle · 27/05/2020 21:40

@MrsTtobe I’d love a sassy daughter! 🤣 I should be careful what I wish for I know 😅 I got proper tearful earlier with dp ranting that going to work is easier than trying to parent, work from home and keep house in order. Has pms mood swings written all over it!! 😫 I’m on 100mg b6 - which should make me less psychotic - wow imagine if I didn’t take it 😱 pray for for dp everyone 😬

Loladoodle · 27/05/2020 21:42

@lydiangel83 yes two very different pregnancies. First one was a breeze, no spotting/bleeding or anything difficult. Second one spotted the whole way through it- had numerous scans and he finally came a month early. I think most pregnancies are different from what I hear.

MrsTtobe · 27/05/2020 22:19

@lydiangel83 congratulations lovely. Ive been pregnant 3 times and all completely different. So try not to worry. Harder said than done I know! 😔

@Loladoodle 😂😂 your poor dp!

Advice needed!! I'm clueless when it comes to this ewcm and ttc and ovulation etc so I need help! Ive always ovulated early and conceived early (as far as I know) daughter was definitely conceived on CD 9 as was the only day we dtd!
My miscarriage in April I'm not sure, we dtd for that pregnancy a lot more so i don't know but I assumed same as conception with dd!
Anyway... CD 14 today and ive 100% got ewcm! Does that mean im about to ovulate or I already have? Do I need to jump on OH when I'm not in the mood and he's pissed me off? 😬😂

Loladoodle · 27/05/2020 22:25

@mrsttobe yes.... you do! 😂 needs must! 🐇

MrsTtobe · 27/05/2020 22:34

@Loladoodle... shit! Ive been a right moody cow to him tonight, gonna have to do some making up I think and I hate having to kiss up!
So am I ovulating now? Or tomorrow?

Semele5069 · 27/05/2020 23:08

Hi ladies
I've been reading a few of these chat threads and think this one is my natural home! I'm almost 36 and TTC number 1. I had a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks in Jan then again at 5.5 weeks in April. I came off the pill in late August 2019 so GP is saying its a good sign I seem to be getting pregnant easily enough so hopefully its just bad luck and the next one will stick, if not she'll refer me for investigations.

Currently using the clearblue fertility monitor and doing SMEP. What I want to ask is what you all are doing re: alcohol? I've cut down massively on caffeine and have been taking vitamins since last August, but I do love my bottle of wine over a couple of nights every weekend and embarrassingly would find that hard to cut out, especially now when that's the only thing that marks the difference between a week of working from home and my weekend! So that's 4 bottles of wine a month basically.

I've read Expecting Better and she is quite lenient about moderate drinking based on a review of the evidence (even during pregnancy which I would never do!) but every website says its better to stop when TTC. I can't help feeling that would drive me mad though, to change yet another thing with no guarantee of ever getting pregnant again. I've really struggled with a sense of urgency to get pregnant again following my MCs and have only just started to relax and not obsess over it.

What do you all think?

Personally I still have a drink most nights but after testing negative again I'm thinking perhaps I shouldn't!

Szalinski · 27/05/2020 23:49

Also really sorry to hear about your losses, that's really tough.

Bearhug9 · 28/05/2020 07:58

@Happyhappy37 I'm ok thanks, just trying not to get my hopes up (again) but it's difficult! Welcome @semele5069 Smile.

FridaKFangirl · 28/05/2020 08:04

Welcome @Semele5069. So sorry to hear about your losses. I’m 38 and right at the start of the journey of TTC #1 I’ve been pondering this too. I think I’m going to cut down by trying to avoid during the TWW but be more lenient and allowing a little wine during AF... obviously if I catch that will be different!

Spottybluepyjamas · 28/05/2020 08:47

Currently 3 days late and still bfn... no idea what's going on! If I wasn't allowing myself a drink at the moment, I'd be going crazy Confused

PinkTulipz · 28/05/2020 08:55

Morning all, thanks for the warm welcome Smile

@Semele5069 so sorry to hear about your losses. I am going to start to cut down on my alcohol intake. I'm not drinking a lot but also enjoy a nice glass of wine or 2 at the end of the week. Having said that we have a virtual cocktail party for a friend's birthday on Friday night but at least it's easy to pretend to be drinking when it's virtual!

Is everyone using ovulation sticks? If so any recommendations? I have never used them before, have just been using an app but not sure how accurate it is.

PinkTulipz · 28/05/2020 08:58

@Spottybluepyjamas which brands of pregnancy test have you used? Have you tried First response? I'd be going crazy too!
