Testing around 11th June

Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

I'm starting to wonder if I've missed it too @lucymagoo but I only ever had very faint lines on OPKs - they never got darker and I've been testing everyday, so surely I would have at least got one or two darker even if I missed my peak. Honestly feeling so frustrated as I wanted to increase DTD over my fertile week, but no idea if I've missed it or if it's late now...who knows! According to my app my ovulation day is predicted for tomorrow. so praying I start to see the line get darker on OPKs over the next few days, but like you said I had EWCM about three days ago now and seem to be dry now :/ urgh who knows. Yeah you're probs right, tracking BBT may not help this month, but still good to get started x

Why does it have to be so confusing 😂😂 I feel like I've learned more about my own body in the last 6 months than I've known in 27 years 🙈

My BBT chart is stressing me out more as I got a high OPK but now no temp rise so god knows! But yeah I guess just keep DTD regularly and hope for the best!

Although I do think I might ask my dr to check I am actually ovulating in a couple of months if I've not had any temp rises xxx

@TTCgee feel like I'm going backwards as have no idea what's going on with my body 😂

How long have you been tracking your BBT for? I've just started from this morn, but OPKs are stressing me out enough so may be a bad idea to start confusing myself with BBT also 🙈

@MintGreenLife I'm the same as you! Meant to be ovulating tomorrow but no changes on OPKs so far 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

@33Carr at least we are in the same boat! How funny we are meant to be ovulating on the same day and still getting on changes on OPKs. I'm going mine in about an hour so praying the line will have gotten darker. What cycle day are you on? Tomorrow is CD17 for me so feel like I shouldn't be ovulating much later than that anyway 😕

@MintGreenLife Yeah it is strange, I'm only on CD11 but I have short cycles. Not having any EWCM which I did last month so think my body is just playing silly beggers this month! Who knows, maybe it will just be later than usual for a change! Trying to keep my on my toes haha! Also testing later tonight so I'll update if it does get any darker!

@33Carr I had EWCM but three days ago now, which has made me even more confused about what's going on. Will keep my fingers crossed you get your positive OPK later today ☺️

Has anyone bought any pregnancy tests yet? I'm not sure which ones to get from Amazon

@MintGreenLife I got a teeny bit of EWCM today even tho ovulation was supposed to be yesterday so god knows what's happening!

Sometimes I wish I'd not started the BBT as it just gives me another thing to worry about but I suppose it's important to know what's going on too? This is my first month doing it so I'll Carry on next month for comparison then probably stop! Xx

@TTCgee @33Carr no luck for me today. Just did my OPK and still negative, in fact like is even fainter than yesterday. So frustrating not knowing what on earth is happening 😔

@TTCgee I got my OPK peak on the 19th then didn't get a temp rise until the 22nd! I was also worried that nothing was happening but the OPK peak means you could ovulate up to 48 hours later (although I think usually it's 12-24 hrs) and then once the egg has popped out it takes 12 hours for a temp rise to happen - so don't worry too much yet there's still loads of time. And also your body can apparently detect if you didn't pop an egg out and you could get a second surge on the opks! X

@Amy00 ahhh thank you - that actually puts my mind at ease loads! Also... I just did another OPK and it was definitely a peak! Compared it to my pic of day before yesterday's pic and this one is waaaay darker so I'm thinking I just misjudged a higher LH level for the surge! So I'm hoping that actually I'm ovulating tomorrow and that would explain why my temp dipped yday and today!

My other half is gonna be knackered haha! Since I thought we got the peak OPK we've been doing it loads and now we'll have to start again. 😂😂

@Amy00 it’s a common mistake with ovulation. People think that because the test is positive that it’s happening there and then.

So I thought the first one was my surge then the day after it was coming back down? But I actually think today's is it! What do you guys think?

@mintgreenlife Ahh I'm sorry the OPK hasn't showed up any darker! Don't give up yet though, your body might suprise you!!

@Sussexbysea I'm due AF on 4th June so ages yet, I'm 4dpo. Time is going sooo slowly. How about you?

@mintgreenlife Don't know if it's of any comfort but my OPK just now what so so negative hahaha nothing there 🤦🏽‍♀️
