Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying :) I think I will most likely cave...may try and hold out until Thursday, which is two days before AF is due. How are you getting on? x

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 11:25

I'm gonna test Thursday too which is one day before af @MintGreenLife
I'm not holding out much hope tbh as I feel the same way I always do which is twingy, headachy, white cm, but that's all progesterone causing for me. But I obviously still have that glimmer of hope I'll get a positive result! How you feeling?x

BbyBx2 · 08/06/2020 11:28

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to jump on here as I enjoy reading all of your journeys.

Congratulations to all those who have had BFP's!!

I briefly joined a thread last month and really enjoyed being able to chat with people about all these sorts of things as husband gets fed up of hearing it!

Cycle 4 for us and I'm currently 5dpo. AF due 18th June.

Told myself I WONT test before period is due as it has taken over the past few months and I've spent a fortune!

Good luck to everyone testing in the coming days.

Baby dust to you all. Smile

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:32

Ohh maybe I'll try and hold out until Thursday and test with you @notyetamumbuttrying :)

I don't know to be honest, I feel a weird mix of optimistic but also not at the same time if that makes any sense at all!? I had two days of sharp twinges (just once or twice each day) in my middle at around 6/7DPO and a temp dip at the same time, on the second day I had nausea all day and a bit of a scratchy throat. Since I've had mild nausea here and there and mild lower back ache. This is my first cycle and I promised myself I would try not to symptom spot and read too much into every little thing, yet here I am...

Remind me where you're up to on your TTC journey? x

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:34

Hi @BbyBx2 nice to have you join :)

This is my first cycle and am around 9/10DPO and itching to test! Think I'm going to try and hold out until Thursday if I can, which is two days before AF is due.

Are you trying for your first? x

BbyBx2 · 08/06/2020 11:39

@MintGreenLife thanks for having me!

I bet! I'll be the same when I get there too! It gets harder as the days go by doesn't it.

Sounds crazy! But this will be No.3 for us. I have 2 sons already 5&3. Don't remember us really trying for them as such. It just happened and happened quickly. So all this is knew to me really, I'm using the app Femometer? Anyone else used/using this?

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 11:41

Ooh that all sounds v positive @MintGreenLife!! So I'm 34, been trying 9 months for our first. Never been pregnant before and really want it to happen ASAP now! Here's to Thursday for us both! 😊
Welcome @BbyBx2 good luck for the 18th! Thanks for the luck for the 11th, fast approaching for us all now 😬

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:47

@notyetamumbuttrying may possibly just be my imagination though, or maybe I'm just reading too much into all the little twinges that I would normally get throughout my cycle. I'm the same - never been pregnant before, this used to worry me before we started TTC as when I was a teenager/in early 20s many of my friends fell pregnant by accident and it made me worry if there was something wrong with me...but I was on the pill for 13 years ha. Joining here and starting to TTC made me realise it's really not that easy to get pregnant, and that many women have the same irrational fears as I did/do. Thursday can't come round quick enough! You'll have to keep me updated with how you're getting on :) x

@BbyBx2 have decided to try and hold off until Thursday as of literally just now ha. Aww lovely, so nice you already have two. Did you just go with the flow for the first two? Sure number 3 will happen for you soon. I don't use Femometer myself - using Premom atm with OPKs and charting BBT x

ForeverHopeful67 · 08/06/2020 11:50

@MintGreenLife thank you! Weird you say that as last night I had quite a sharp pain on my right hand side of my uterus, to the point I had to sit up as I was so uncomfortable! An ever so small temp drop this morning too. Other than that I don't really notice anything else, fingers crossed these are good signs for us

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you! I think may test on Thursday too, as will be 10/11 dpo and it seems a few of us will be testing Thursday so hopefully that will be out lucky day! How about you? How many dpo are you? X

Sussexbysea · 08/06/2020 11:51

@BbyBx2 welcome back!! I’ve had a negative test but I’m now late so god knows what’s going on inside.

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:53

@ForeverHopeful67 aww it'll be so nice to have so many people to test with! As I'm sure you can tell from the thread name there will be lots of us testing on Thursday :) think that'll be my motivation to hold out until then. Hope these are good signs for us, I honestly have no prior experience of this myself, but have well and truly thrown myself into TTC this month and am feeling positive so far x

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 11:57

@MintGreenLife exactly the same as me! All my friends are done having kids now and I'm only just starting lol! Two are currently pregnant now and it's literally just me left! I only got married last year tho and we started ttc a month afterwards. Yes defo will keep you updated, likewise for you too please! I'm either gonna be ecstatic or balling my eyes out I think, awks 😂
Yeah go for it @ForeverHopeful67! But do keep in mind that it's still early for you so don't worry if it is negative that day.

I'm 11dpo today so will be 14dpo on Thurs x

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 12:06

@notyetamumbuttrying that was our plan too - wedding this September and then start TTC straight after, but the current situation means we are most likely postponing the wedding, so started TTC sooner, as really there wasn't much point in holding off. Haha at least we are in this together!! I think as it's my first month testing I'm not expecting much, but I know I'll defo be disappointed if its a BFN...only three days to go then! x

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 12:29

@MintGreenLife sorry about your wedding but when you do get married you'll bloody love it! Defo no point holding off ttc, I agree! Falling on the first month would be so amazing too! Roll on Thursday 😬😁

BbyBx2 · 08/06/2020 12:30

@MintGreenLife
Crossing my fingers for you! Yes literally just happened for both of them. Can't really say we tried to be honest. Yes I hope so, trying to be relaxed about it but can't help thinking maybe it's because we're a bit older now than we were when we had the boys. Silly really as some people on here are in there 30's and trying. I'm 26, hubby 28. I guess all sorts go through your mind when TTC.

@Sussexbysea
Thankyou! Sorry to hear about your BFN, hoping as your AF hasn't arrived you may still be in with a chance. Fingers crossed for you!

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 12:32

@BbyBx2 I totally get that, it's so easy to go down all sorts of routes wondering if there could be something wrong etc, but at 26 age shouldn't be a factor I don't think ☺️ I'm 31 and I can't say I've ever worried that my age might cause issues x

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 12:34

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying ☺️ We are hoping to still get legally married this year with just our parents and siblings at the ceremony, and then throw the proper 'wedding' September next year. I realised that technically Thursday is two days away, as just got to wake up and resist testing for two more mornings! I only had CB tests in and my FRERs have just arrived from Amazon...must resist 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 12:37

Resist!! Lol 😆 @MintGreenLife
Ah I see! Hope all goes as planned then! You're gonna have a great 2020 and 2021 then! 🤞

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 12:41

Haha I'll stay strong @notyetamumbuttrying my motivation will be waiting to test with everyone else. Yes here's hoping ☺️🤞🏼

BbyBx2 · 08/06/2020 12:52

@MintGreenLife

I do I'm terrible. I know it's ridiculous for me to think it could be that.

I'm excited for Thursday for you!!

Love hearing of people testing in the next few days.

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 12:55

@BbyBx2 it's so easy to do though, I'm constantly overanalysing 🙈

It's so lovely seeing other people get their BFP isn't it 😀 Fingers crossed for all of us x

TTCgee · 08/06/2020 12:56

Resist @MintGreenLife 😂😂 sooo hard! I've got mine literally sat waiting on the side! I keep having to force myself to wait! Part of me wants to just cos I've not done one since feb now (as I promised myself after feb I'd just wait for AF instead of spending a fortune on loads of tests for no reason!) the temptation is REAL!

Hi @BbyBx2 nice to have you here!! I'm 27 and trying for my first too! been off the pill since November but tracking for 3 months - so I guess technically 6/7 months in total!

It's sooo hard having friends and family who seem to get pregnant just looking at their other half! It's reassuring to see that so many people worry (then get BFPs anyway!) I genuinely thought I was just broken and was always so worried before I joined MumsNet and it defo helps knowing we're all in it together 🥰🥰

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 13:03

Haha @TTCgee I've got this, tests will be staying firmly in their box until Thursday, hopefully 😂 That makes a lot of sense, I'm sure if I don't get my BFP in the first few months I'll give up on testing!

33Carr · 08/06/2020 13:34

I have a lot to catch up on and will read everything when I get home after work but I just bought my FRERs 😱🙈😱🙈

ForeverHopeful67 · 08/06/2020 13:46

@MintGreenLife everyone seems so lovely! Can't wait to log on Thursday morning to hopefully see everyone's BFP pictures!! Would be amazing if you caught your first month too how magical!

@notyetamumbuttrying that's very true,
Knowing me I'll use that as my reassurance if I do get a BFN!haha x
