Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

@mm26 have you tried putting the lantern of your phone right behind the test? If it's an evaporation line you won't see anything, but if it's pink you'll be able to see it even if it is very faint. Good luck!

Mockingbird0805 · 08/06/2020 10:00

@Juno231 I'm approximately 12 dpo and been trying for 18 months.

Juno231 · 08/06/2020 10:02

@Teamom1605 that's wonderful! I'm on cycle 5 so you're giving me hope :) I mean I know it can take up to 2 years but when all my friends seem to succeed on their first try it's nice to see there are other people out there in my boat!

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 10:02

@MrsLully so exciting for you :) are you going to tell your husband, or hold off until you get a stronger line? Remind me how many DPO you are now? I'm only 9DPO so holding off on testing for now...

Juno231 · 08/06/2020 10:03

@Mockingbird0805 holy cow extra congrats to you! I'm happy for your sticky bean :)

mm26 · 08/06/2020 10:04

@MrsLully I hadn't tried that! Good tip! I did the test well over 30 mins ago. I went back to the rest there to try but all evidence of anything at all has gone even with the torch behind it 😂 I can't even see the faint line any more, maybe just wishful thinking. I'll try again in another few days and keep your torch tip in mind!

MrsLully · 08/06/2020 10:15

@MintGreenLife I think I'll tell him, but as a very cautious "this could well not mean anything" and to get him off my back for not taking ibuprofen.
I'm 11 or 12 DPO, and I'm pretty sure I had a chemical last month, so I refuse to get too excited.
Are you testing any time soon? x

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 10:18

@TTCgee such a good show right! Think s3 is out in August, yippee lol!
@MrsLully yeah I think it's there too, very faint tho! Eek, how you feeling?
@Juno231 you must watch s2 this week, it's better than the 1st imo!
@Mockingbird0805 so many congratulations hun, what a journey you've been on!!

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 10:20

That makes sense, will keep my fingers crossed for you :) I keep going between testing tomorrow (10DPO) or holding out until Thursday (12DPO) or just waiting to see if AF arrives on Saturday...can't make my mind up! This will be my first time testing so I'm not sure what will be best for me in terms of what will make me go the least crazy. Worry if I test early and I get a negative there will still be hope even if there isn't actually anything there...but also not sure I can hold on too much longer.

I've also told myself I won't tell OH until I've got a 'pregnant' result on a CB, but that's easier said than done...

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 10:20

@MrsLully x

MrsLully · 08/06/2020 10:40

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks! I feel fine, had sore boobs a couple of days ago but not now, which could be a bad sign I know...
@MintGreenLife I don't actually have a ton of experience myself, as my DD wasn't planned and this is our second cycle trying. I only tested early because one of my wisdom teeth is inflected and I didn't want to take ibuprofen just in case. I got negatives at th weekend

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 10:42

That makes sense :) I think I'll just see how I go. I have four tests in the bathroom already and haven't caved yet, although came very close yesterday!

TTCgee · 08/06/2020 10:45

@notyetamumbuttrying fab news! I've still got series 2 to watch too so that can be tonight's distraction after work 😂😂

@MintGreenLife sometimes I wish I didn't know my BBT as I'm the same I literally get excited then sad day by day if it doesn't do exactly what I think it should. 🙈

TTCgee · 08/06/2020 10:46

@MrsLully I couldn't see it but the more I stare I think I can see a vvvvv faint one! It's so hard sometimes isn't it you really do think you can see something! I hope it is for you xxx

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 10:49

@TTCgee urgh it's possibly more of a hinderance than a help to me at the moment, as I have no idea if my temp even rose after ovulation because of only starting mid cycle. It pretty much means nothing at the moment, but that still doesn't stop me worrying when I see it drop when I don't think it should argh. Not a good start to the day is it. Starting to feel like I might cave and end up testing tomorrow urgh

ForeverHopeful67 · 08/06/2020 10:51

Hi ladies Smile
I hope you don't mind but I feel like I need to join this thread as it seems to be very lucky and full of BFPs!! Grin congrats everyone!
I think I'm around 7/8 dpo, I was wondering what everyone's symptoms are? X

MrsLully · 08/06/2020 10:51

I like to think that I would have waited until a missed period, but there is no need to lie. As I said, I am NOT getting excited. I'll test again tomorrow. Or later today. Mmm

Sussexbysea · 08/06/2020 11:00

Hey everyone!

Well, I had a negative test on Saturday (clear as day as I used a clearblue digital) but I’m now late with no signs of it being here.

I’m waiting for some tests to be delivered to me from boots so I’ll test again when they arrive.

How’s everyone doing? Have I missed any positive tests?

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:00

Hi @ForeverHopeful67 welcome :)

We are around the same stage as think I'm 9/10DPO. This is my first cycle so trying not to get my hopes up too much. Around 6/7DPO I had sharp twinges in my middle, which coincided with a drop in temp on those days too. I had mild nausea on those days also, and a few periods of nausea here and there since, also lower back ache. I'm trying my absolute best not to read too much into this, as a book I read said it's highly unlikely to get any symptoms before a missed period, but impossible not to let my imagination run away with itself! How are you feeling? x

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:01

Hi @Sussexbysea :) how late are you now? Hope your tests don't take too long to arrive :)

Sussexbysea · 08/06/2020 11:03

@MintGreenLife I’m 2 days late now. Unless I ovulated later than I thought I did? Who knows!

OP posts:
Sussexbysea · 08/06/2020 11:05

@MintGreenLife apparently tests are arriving today

OP posts:
MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:08

Well as you tested two days ago and tested early you never know, may not have had enough hCG levels at that point, but I would have thought being late was a fairly positive sign. Will you wait until tomorrow to test with FMU?

MintGreenLife · 08/06/2020 11:08

@Sussexbysea

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 11:16

I don't think that's a bad sign @MrsLully! Will you carry on testing for line progression?
Sounds perfect to me @TTCgee!
Welcome @ForeverHopeful67 I don't symptom spot anymore as I get quite bad pms and they're exactly the same as pre pregnancy symptoms so no point for me. When are you testing?
Let us know how you get on @Sussexbysea, good luck!
And good luck @MintGreenLife are you testing before af?
