Testing around 11th June

Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

Thanks @TTCgee ☺️ Well we will have covered all basis with DTD if we go for it tomorrow also, so will wait and see from there. So glad I finally caught the surge though - 20 odd ovulation sticks later! Think I'll be testing on the 13th now as I ovulated 3 days later than my app said xx

Hi everyone, looking for advice. I am on month 4 of TTC and I have a daughter of 8 so been a while since going through the motions lol
I am 9 days post ovulation and due my TTM around 7th of June and today I have had some dark red/brown spotting which is unusual and was wondering if anyone has had this experience and been pregnant? Also unsure of when to take a test as very trying to hold up as o don't want to get my hopes up.

@notyetamumbuttrying I believe there's a window of 12-24 hours for the egg to be fertilised, so think that must essentially be the length of ovulation

Hey @CxSmith ☺️ This is my first month TTC, but have read that around 25% of women experience spotting from implantation, so could be a good sign? I'm going to try my best to wait to test until AF is due, but that's easier said than done!

Thanks for replying! Fingers crossed as I have had some slight cramping as well so will try to hold off until next weekend before I test if I can! Was so young with our first we never had the stress of TTC so it has been a totally new experience for us this time. Fingers crossed you get a home round on the first round!

Hello ladies, hope everyone’s had a good day and thank you for all the nice comments. I am slightly freaking out now though because I’ve just taken another test (I know I shouldn’t at night time etc cos of the hormone levels) but it’s a BFN now. Can you get false positives?! I’m just worrying now we’ve just had a bbq so I have been drinking a lot (of fake wine) xxxx

I would do another one in the morning @Freddie15VES with fmu. Hcg increases every 48 hours so test every two days rather than one and always do it in the morning. Keep us posted and good luck!

@TTCgee I'm glad you've had a good walk and time to clear your head! Sometimes we get so caught up in it all, it's nice to have a bit of time out!

@mintgreenlife Glad the OPKs have been given a clearer indication of what's going on! Sounds like you have/will be DTD the at the right times to cover all basis! Shame we won't be testing the same day anymore but I'll still be rooting for you! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Freddie15VES As not yetamum said, I'd hold off trying for a couple of days and see what your line progression is like then, I'm sure you'll see the difference then xx

Hiya, I feel good this morning. I had a good sleep and kind of woke up and thought, why on earth would I test after I’d drank nearly a whole bottle of fake wine. I’m not testing today, I am going to wait until tomorrow. I feel really sick this morning and my boobs are killing so that’s giving me enough support that the positive was there haha will keep you updated tomorrow though xxxx

@Freddie15VES so glad you're feeling better this morn ☺️ Also remember that 8DPO when you first tested is so early - implantation only takes place between 6-10 days after fertilisation, and HCG doesn't start to develop in the body until implantation occurs, so while you might have been able to detect low levels with your first test, your second test might not have been as sensitive, and like you say you drank a lot before you did it - totally possible to get a negative when you are in fact pregnant ☺️ Sure you'll get a positive again in a few days when your HCG levels have had time to build up 😀

@Freddie15VES 👋 did you test on CB again last night or a different brand? If it was a different brand maybe they are different sensitivities, hope you get some good news tomorrow 🤞

How's everyone feeling? I'm almost chilled because I'm 99% sure I haven't ovulated anyway so I'm not actually symptom spotting for once! Xxx

@TTCgee I feel slightly anxious today as is ovulation day according to my OPK results from yesterday and my Premom app. I guess it's just the idea that an egg could possibly be fertilised today! Can you tell this is my first cycle TTC 😂 Just did another OPK and line is darker than usual but not as dark as yesterday so seems to be consistent with today being OV day. Glad to hear you're feeling pretty chilled. I've had a few women on here tell me they didn't think they were ovulating and then out of the blue they got their BFP so you never know! Was meant to be OH's stag do today (obviously cancelled) so hopefully can cheer him up with DTD!

@MintGreenLife Yeah still on the 10th, decided I'm going to order my FRER on the 8th, they'll arrive on the 9th but I won't be home untill 7ish so then I'll test with FMU on the 10th. That's the plan anyway 😂😂 How are you feeling? I think this next week is going to DRAG!

@33Carr very sensible to hold off on ordering so that they're not here until you're ready to test! I already have four tests in the bathroom ready and waiting 😂 Yeah OK I think, although until yesterday I thought I possibly ovulated about 6 days earlier, and now I'm back to square one on the TWW 🙈 The 13th seems such a long way off! Will be my first TWW and I think I'll manage ok, but sure I'll have days where i feel anxious and just want to get testing already! How about you? You must be a few days into the TWW now? Out of interest, do you get any ovulation pains at all? Xx

I'm testing next weekend. Ovulation was some time last weekend but I'm not 100% sure when. I was waiting for the EWCM to test as that's when I peaked last month but didn't see any so missed it 🤦‍♀️ just high opks and then back to low.
