Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

@watermelonwizard I'm also CD5 and am predicted to ovulate on the 29th. The app is assuming ovulation on cd14 for me and I'm not sure why as I ovulated on CD16 last month and CD13 the month before! So I'll be using OPKs to try and pinpoint it again :)

@KRK05 I'm really sorry to hear about DS, I hope he's okay!

@TheGirlWhoLived welcome! So sorry to hear about your loss last year, is it why you held off a year to try again?

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/05/2020 20:23

Ooh a fellow 24 day cycle buddy! @watermelonwizard I'm trying to lengthen mine so that I ovulate later as hovering around cd10 most months! I'm taking agnus castus this month so will start using opk's from the weekend as period due to end tomorrow. It's lightened my flow this month too, I was light from day 3 and barely had anything today. Perhaps it'll actually finish within 4 days now!?

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/05/2020 20:27

Sorry to hear about your son @KRK05 hope you're both ok!
Welcome @TheGirlWhoLived sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Hopefully this is the month for you!

Mich2020 · 20/05/2020 20:29

Hey. Ok to join you ladies?? Had a few faint positives but came on today so into month 16 😩😩 xx

watermelonwizard · 20/05/2020 20:34

@Juno231 yes also going to try to pinpoint mine with opk! Have never tracked it before but interested to see if my app is correct. Keep me updated :)

@notyetamumbuttrying yes, same!! Ooh let me know how that goes. A friend of mine has started that for PMT. My AF usually lasts 4-5 days! Hope it works for you!

watermelonwizard · 20/05/2020 20:36

Welcome @Mich2020 so sorry to hear that. Positive vibes and everything crossed for you. We are here for you xx

Mich2020 · 20/05/2020 20:43

Thank you 😊 looking forward to having some support this month coming xx

KateColx · 20/05/2020 20:43

@KRK05 oh no so sorry to hear about DS!! Sending lots of hugs to you both 💛💛

KateColx · 20/05/2020 20:52

Hi girls,

Have any of you had experience of your actual ovulation date being wayyy out from where apps have predicted it is? Or maybe short periods of flashing before static smiley on CB tests?

I've never tracked properly before this month, and I'm now using CB tests. Apps predict I should ovulate on Friday but I'm still showing ⭕️ on the tests. As it's my first month of testing I'm not sure how many days of flashing smileys would be normal? And is it anything to worry about if ovulation is later than predicted? I always have 28 day cycles :)

Minster2012 · 20/05/2020 20:56

Does anyone know if constipation is a thing around ovulation?? I know it’s probably wayyyyy TMI but this is really weird for me as a couple of ladies here will know @Juno231 & @Skip86 from convos on here I’ve had major bowel surgery (illeostomy & reversal) which means I have no large bowel left which, saved my life, but means I don’t have “stools” like everyone else. I basically have diarrhoea forever managed by medication so I can go about my day. Anyways. Not today. I’ve just sat on the loo for 30mins trying to pass a bowel movement. It’s unheard of for nearly 10 years.

Is that a thing??? Still 0 on OPKs, but as a result of my surgeries I also have to drink over 3 litres of fluid a day as your large bowel takes water into your system so I have to overcompensate for that. Day 4 of flashing smile. OH even came to ask if I was ok!!

Sorry for over sharing but over the years I’ve come to terms with many things like embarrassing 💩noises going to the loo in places or with ppl in cubicles next door so you kinda have to get on with life 🤷‍♀️

lucyrp · 20/05/2020 21:02

@Mich2020 hello welcome. I also had 3 faint positives last month and then AF arrived I so know how you're feeling xx

TheGirlWhoLived · 20/05/2020 21:06

@Juno231 it was sort of why I left it so long, we were debating maybe if it was a ‘sign’ not to have any more (we have 2 dd’s already) and the age gap was getting bigger and I’m getting older- but the urge to just have one more go was too much Grin

It was getting past the 12 week ‘safe stage’ and then losing it that was a bit extra rubbish because I’d told the kids and close friends/family by then!

SmileyT · 20/05/2020 21:08

@watermelonwizard I'm the exact same as @Juno231 apps are thinking I'll ovulate CD14/ CD15 and then AF due weekend of the 12th June 😬 I had a MC in March after an accidental pregnancy and we were so ready for it we decided to ttc now so this is the 2nd full cycle. I'm feeling really positive this cycle and throwing everything at it would be the 1st for me and DP and I already have an amazon list of newborn essentials ready to go 😂

@Mich2020 so sorry about what you've been through... sending you lots of positive vibes and baby dust. X

@KateColx some people have a quick oestrogen and then lh surge so get less flashing Smily faces, last month I had a 27 day cycle and had 5 blank circles and straight to static. On the CB pack it says that 66% of women have between 0 and 4 so I guess the majority are somewhere in that bracket. The apps are notoriously bad for predicting ovulation if they have no previous ovulation data to use, they will generally assume a 14 day LP when in reality it could be 9-17 days so on a 28day cycle it could be CD11-CD19 but they'll just guess it'll be CD14 so don't worry about that. Last month I was panicking on CD12 with a circle but it sorted itself out x

KRK05 · 20/05/2020 23:08

Thankyou to everyone messaging back about my DS, means alot 💕 amazingly he is fine, well as fine as can be kids just have a way of getting on with things. I'm more traumatized than him, so is dad & the dog 🙈 repeatedly hes had to be told to sit still today as hes trying to jump around (obviously advised not to for a few days) sorry if TMI but was such a bad one, was able to see his skull 😭 but nothing damaged thankfully (theres a wall before skull which is intact) hes young enough that his scar will eventually fade too, but he is wrapped in cotton wool for foreseeable future now, I've not even let him walk to the toilet himself today I'm sure he will be fed up of me soon as already hes like 'I'm ok mummy dont worry' & hes only 5 🙄🙈

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/05/2020 23:18

Bless him @KRK05 glad he's ok! Hopefully you can start to relax now too.

Mococo1 · 20/05/2020 23:24

Hey guys can I join this bus?

Just got AF 6 weeks after miscarriage on the 15th May so hoping to start ttc this month onwards c

OnNaturesCourse · 21/05/2020 00:16

Hi Mococo 😊 sorry to hear about your MC Flowers hoping this next cycle brings you all the baby dust. xxx

My Femometer app has changed my ovulation day from 22nd to the 21st since my CM changed tonight and my LH came in at a 13. Wasnt going to DTD tonight as we're late to bed already, ie not even there yet... But we'll have no chance in the morning 😭 We did DTD last night so fingers crossed that covers us if we don't manage tonight.

Skip86 · 21/05/2020 03:41

@watermelonwizard @TheGirlWhoLived @TheGirlWhoLived and anyone else I've missed, welcome!! Sorry to those who have had MC, CP, long time trying.. you're in a good place here for support 💗

@Katao @KRK05 @Ltay2 on no there must be something in the water this month! Medical probs delaying TTC for all of you, but know what? The baby you do end up with will be the one that was meant to be! I hope you're all ok, and will still hang out with us 😃

@KateColx I used to have very regular 28 day cycles and would've sworn I ov'd on CD14 every month going by CM and pains etc, but first time I used CB digi discovered (for that month anyway) I actually ov'd on CD17! I conceived my DS that month 😍 so definitely a chance you could ov later, don't stress about the ⭕️s just yet xx

Skip86 · 21/05/2020 03:46

@Minster2012 so funny you should ask that about constipation and ovulation. Last night I was having a whinge about being constipated. I always blame my crohns for fluctuations between diarrhoea/healthy stool/constipation, but then I had a lightbulb moment - maybe it's not bowel disease but my lady cycles that are the cause! I was constipated on ov day, and for the day after, and finally thank god had a BM today.
However if you haven't had an issue like this for 10 years (and I assume you've been ovulating during those years), perhaps ask your specialist or gp for advice?

Skip86 · 21/05/2020 03:48

(PS, definitely no such thing as TMI with me - I have bowel disease and talk shit (literally) daily 🤣🤣)

jaxs23 · 21/05/2020 05:59

@minster2012 no constipation for me. The exact opposite. I get diarrhea around ov and before/during AF.

lucyrp · 21/05/2020 06:38

Morning Ladies, I have just got my first flashing smiley this morning 😁 got so excited to see it on the screen!
Currently waiting to hear off my friend who had to go into hospital last night to speed up her labour after waters being broken for 24 hours and she was very upset as this is her first DC and no one was allowed in with her! This covid is actually heartbreaking when it comes to things like that ☹️

Cocoblue22 · 21/05/2020 06:53

What does flashing smiley etc mean on your tests? Mine just says low or high oestrogen and then LH peak on the square CB computer one xx

Cocoblue22 · 21/05/2020 07:08

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum I have the CB machine (recommended by a friend) and I like it it worked well with DC1 so I’m hoping it will help this time too! CD10 today and it’s just said high! Exciting! Although last time (almost 3 years ago) I remember not getting the high until quite late I remember getting do day 13 ish and it still being low and feeling fed up and then it went high and peak within a few days! And later that month I got BFP! In my experience it works well and it records everything for you so don’t need other apps or to enter anything. It stores six months of data xx

lucyrp · 21/05/2020 07:10

@Cocoblue22 the flashing smiley on the digital CB test sticks means that its high so il probably have a few days of this before my static smiley which means peak x
