Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

@skip86 happy to hear that you made up and BD before ov. Have not been in an argument with DP during FW. Just the thought of missing a month sounds scary, but don't think I can BD if upset. Would feel wrong. Any advice for if that happens?

lucyrp · 17/05/2020 06:23

@jaxs23 I had a CP last cycle too. Sucks doesn't it☹️ hopefully fingers crossed for us this time!

lucyrp · 17/05/2020 06:25

@Skip86 I've been BBTing for the last few days and it has been around 36.5, this morning however it was 36.19 so not promising! About to CB so expecting a big fat ⭕️

jaxs23 · 17/05/2020 07:07

@lucyrp sorry about your CP. Was told I should wait to try again, but I heard that you are more fertile after a MC.

33Carr · 17/05/2020 07:25

Hi all! Hopping on the June bus as AF arrived yesterday! Starting cycle # after MMC! Fingers crossed for everyone!

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 07:49

@lucyrp you often get a temp drop the day before your temp rise for ovulation so it could be just around the corner 🤞 how did you get on with CB?

@jaxs23 me and DP had a little argument during FW last month but we are doing SMEP so just carried on following the plan, we just had to get on with it and deal with the argument afterwards. I think ttc can be stressful so it's not crazy for emotions to be heightened at some point over this journey. After my MC he really wanted me to wait before having sex but I was having none of that 🙈

Welcome @33Carr there are a few of us on CD2 so hopefully we can help eachother through, how long are your cycles normally? How are you tracking? Xx

33Carr · 17/05/2020 07:57

Hi @SmileyT It's hard to tell how long my cycles are as I got pregnant without a period after having my implant removed. However in April I had a 26 day cycle and in May it's down to 21!

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 08:08

@33Carr oh that makes sense, I also had a MMC in March, my first cycle was 31 days and then down to 27, I wasn't on hormonal contraception before that and cycles ranged from 25-33 but generally 28 days so hoping they settle back around there. Did you ovulate pretty early last month? I'm not expecting to ovulate until around the 29th May x

33Carr · 17/05/2020 08:21

@SmileyT Yeah I used to be 28 days before going on the pill yearrrrrrs who so hoping I get back to that. But that was when I was in my late teens so a lot could have changed since then 😂 I think inoculated around the 3/4th this month, which was earlier than I expected. Going to try be more consistent woth my OPKs this month and make sure we get our timings right! I'm due to ovulate similar times to you!!

lucyrp · 17/05/2020 08:41

@jaxs23 it's very hard to be told to wait when TTC when you just desperately want to get on with it and not waste any time

lucyrp · 17/05/2020 08:43

@SmileyT it was a ⭕️ as expected but time will tell. I have no idea what is going to happen this month as technically AF could very likely come again yet!

CMM20 · 17/05/2020 08:54

Day 5 of ⭕️- So disheartening!

Hope you're all doing ok

jaxs23 · 17/05/2020 09:01

@SmileyT Thanks for the advice. Was it awkward DTD when you were not in the mood? In the end I will probably choose ttc rather than miss a month. So many emotions on this journey.

Minster2012 · 17/05/2020 09:29

Morning ladies & hi to newcomers welcome aboard!

@33Carr there are a few of us in a similar position to you so we can keep each other going!

@CMM20 keep going girl, you are what day 13? I got 4 days of big fat O (but I started later than day 8) & this morning I have a flashing smile 😀on CD14 so stick with it, some ppl don’t ovulate until day 16/18 so you will get there

@Skip86 boo for arguments. We had a massive row yesterday too after DH was very insensitive & I supporting of the potty training I’ve been doing (enduring massive toddler tantrums all week but it’s working) & he just dismissed it & said he’s too young “from what his colleagues have said”, not paying attention to the fact DS is getting it I literally was in tears for 4 hours, so was good we had already DTD in the morning but we made up later on. You are on day 4 of flashing 😀? I’m hoping my flashy today doesn’t stay around to long!!

And @Skip86 yeah the nurse consultant at our IVF we nicknamed her “the angel of death” she has such a cheery manner even when giving good news she sounds like she’s telling us our dog needs to be put down so I was prepared! Trying to see it as a challenge!!

SS123456 · 17/05/2020 10:19

@Minster2012 thanks for the welcome! They seem to be fairly regular (between 27 and 33 days so far). I've been TTC for 7 months now (I have an 8 year old from a previous relationship) and at 36 I feel like my time is running out. We are giving pre-seed and conceive plus (his and hers) a go for the first time this month 🤞🏻

Skip86 · 17/05/2020 10:38

@Minster2012 yay for flashing 😊! People who are not TTC will never understand the excitement of that little face 😂😂 now for both of us to get the static! I've had 3 days flashing, have been testing in the arvo/evening with IC but have literally not a whisper of a line on them. Hopefully tomorrow.
Your nurse sounds like hard work. With people like that I like to play a game to be as sickly sweet and smiley as possible, to try and get a smile back from them!

@CMM20 frustrating! With such regular cycles I'm sure it'll change soon.

@jaxs23 ooh sorry I don't think I can give advice on DTD when dark at DH! Except to remember that your fertile window is really quite long so if you miss one session it's not the end of the world. Personally I'd prefer not have sex when we're hating on each other as it just doesn't feel right, so I try to make up then do it, or just wait 😊

Minster2012 · 17/05/2020 11:49

@SS123456 we really like preseed, I’ve only been tracking /trying to for a cycle so kinda cycle 1 for us after a miscarriage from IVF but TTC for 8 months prior to that but I think my injection was still in my system, hopefully on track now, I’m also 36 in July 🥰

@Skip86 when I saw the flashing 😀I literally wanted to jump him, totally irrational as like you it could be for longer but it’s progress isn’t it! & could be the right time so why not use it 😀

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2020 11:57

Morning all, just firmly confirming my seat now as AF arrived for me this morning. This is cycle 9 now! I'm ringing docs this week to start blood tests as I'm 34 and getting worried! Also gonna start new supplements of vita dhd and coq10. Need to read through all the msgs to catch up still! Hope everyone is well.

SS123456 · 17/05/2020 12:09

@Minster2012 I'm really sorry to hear about your MC 😔. Hopefully you will be back on track after that now 🤞🏻. I'm considering going private for treatment if we don't have any luck this month but it is so expensive. What was your experience of the whole process? I asked my doctor about some fertility medication but she said I won't even get that on the NHS due to having a child already. I knew they wouldn't fund IVF but I did think they would at least prescribe drugs if needed 🤔

Katao · 17/05/2020 12:20

Hi all. @Minster2012 and @Skip86 congrats on the flashing smilies Smile still non for me but only cd10
Im getting totally lost on this thread! 😂I'm new to MN.

Minster2012 · 17/05/2020 13:01

@SS123456 we’ve had really good experience in general of IVF. I’m a strange case as this is really our first time TTC as I’ve been on chemo for malignant melanoma for 10 years so all the time I’ve known DH for my NHS immunotherapy to continue I had to be on 2 types of contraception & couldn’t stop it til last year so our DS is a product of our first IVF which was our embryos made on NHS for medical reasons (as a female having chemo you are offered embryo creation because it usually kills your fertility which is why my nurse is realistic for our chances of natural. DS was an embryo transferred to my best friend as a surrogate. So half was NHS but the drugs for her & transfer was private. Then last year when I could stop my treatment we spent 8 months TTC whilst getting all my medical permissions in place to get a frozen embryo transferred to me. So that was all private but only half of it as we have embryos already.

So we’ve done a successful transfer to my friend, & a transfer to me which ended in a missed miscarriage in March. Overall our experience has been very good, though our nurse consultant is the angel of death 😂very much “setting ppl up to fail/being very realistic!” She has said my fertility is screwed really. So I haven’t had all the NHS testing that goes before private but our last transfer /drugs cost around £2000, the surrogacy cost us many many many more multiples of that but we have a miracle child!

I thought if going for private you can ask for a referral from GP even without testing but would be worth doing the tests. Do you mean getting the IVF drugs from the doctor? Ours won’t do that.

Skip86 · 17/05/2020 13:18

Jaysus @Minster2012 what a journey! You sure deserve this after everything you've been through🤞🏼🤞🏼

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 13:29

@33Carr well here is hoping for a successful fertile period x

@lucyrp oh just read back and realised this was your first CB test so will always come up with blank ⭕️ so that's all good, why are you expecting AF again?

@jaxs23 tbh I'm always in the mood for sex, scheduling it is a bit rubbish sometimes but once I get into it I always love it 😂 me and DP don't full on argue so I guess if we weren't talking that would be different I'm talking more about general bickering which is easy to put aside for the greater good x

@notyetamumbuttrying ahh sorry AF got you but here's to starting a new cycle 🥂

@Minster2012 such a journey you've been on, so amazing you seem to stay so positive ❤️

Minster2012 · 17/05/2020 13:30

Ha ha! Thank you but no more than a lot of ppl @Skip86 but it would be nice to conceive naturally & a hella cheaper 😂 but even if we do the IVF again (2 embryos left) then I need to track cycles so 🤞🏻There’s no need

lucyrp · 17/05/2020 13:34

@SmileyT its not my first CB I took my first CB in the morning on Friday and it was ⭕️ then I took another 4 hours later and it was the static smiley. If you read my first message on this thread further down it explains it all. Basically I believe I had a CP last Sunday and am unsure whether that's why I bled or if it was AF. So technically AF could come again at some point this cycle if that wasn't what it was last week. I would explain it all but it would be an essay 😂
