Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

@Ltay2 I couldn’t say it better myself. I too started opk today for ‘something to do’ haha. Starting to DTD tomorrow every other day. I’m currently cd9 x

LittleRa · 14/05/2020 15:16

Fingers crossed @Amy00 and @Spinningthewheel that we’re back on our cycles 🚲 ha ha. I used to get a bleed on my pill (Cerelle) even though it wasn’t the type of pill you have a break on. I tracked that bleed since Jan and it has my cycle down as 35 days, with ovulation on CD 21! But I don’t know if that’s my actual cycle or just my “on pill” cycle. As I said, DTD every other day at the moment just to see. Not like there’s much else to do at the moment Grin

Ltay2 · 14/05/2020 15:30

@Clairey844 Sorry to hear about your MMC, hopefully your cycles are now back on track, seems like they are getting there! I have found these threads very helpful, I've learnt more in the last few weeks on MN than I have in my 28 years of life regarding fertility and TTC 😂

Ltay2 · 14/05/2020 15:31

@Runnergirl1 Oh I know! I hated the TWW but now looking forward to it again. No doubt hate it again once it comes around 🤣

Clairey844 · 14/05/2020 16:08

@Ltay2 thank you. Will sit and read the thread from the start once little one is in bed tonight!

KRK05 · 14/05/2020 17:46

@lucyrp Here u go lovely, hopefully somebody can help 🤞🏻

Hi Everyone I am in need of some help if possible please. Came off the contraceptive injection in august last year so my last shot was beginning of June. My periods started back up again in December and we have been TTC ever since I came off it but wasn't holding out any hope until my periods returned. My AF was due on 22nd of April and I did a CB test on 21st and 22nd and got two faint positives on both. Left it until 27th and did another co op test this time which was pink dye and stated on the box any line was a positive no matter how faint and I got a line. I must add I was still getting negatives in between these so was rather hesistant. Rang the midwife etc got ball rolling was getting excited as I had shown her my test and she had said yes that is a positive congratulations you are 7 weeks and Had my booking appointment on 8th given all the notes etc only to wake up on Sunday 10th bleeding. Rang midwife and explained and I went in for bloods and produced w negative urine test and negative blood test. Midwife was very rude and just said my period had come 18 days late etc but that something had happened to cause the delay she thinks an embryo was formed as such but wasn't strong enough to attach and was told to go have a pint!

Anyway I have purchased CB ovulation tests and was going to start testing on CD8 but as I'm unsure as to when thag will be because of the delay in my period I started today and got a blank low fertility this morning but did another 4 hours later as I read thag the first is normally always blank as a baseline. My second test today came up with the peak fertility smiley face! I am so confused as I am only CD5! Any advice please as I am so desperate to get things right this month. I am going to be BD every day after AF has disappeared. Help!

Decided to try for no 2 just come off the pill been on it for just under 2 years hopefully it will get out of my system quickly!

lucyrp · 14/05/2020 18:11

Sorry didn't start my comment how I wanted...

Yes I am in for June also! Thought may was going to be by month but it wasn't to be ☹️☹️

helia · 14/05/2020 18:30

Hello. Thinking about TTC #2 in June too. We were going to give it a go in June but then COVID19 happened so now I'm not sure. My Clue app has me down as ovulating during the first week of June. I haven't finished this cycle yet but we've missed the fertile window and used contraception so it won't be this month. I'm still not sure if we will go for it next month yet but I thought I'd say hello in case we do.

PirateWeasel · 14/05/2020 19:34

Hi everyone! Jumping aboard. AF is here at the moment so cycle 2 starting. Crossing everything that it doesn't take too long to strike lucky 🙏

Excitablemuch · 14/05/2020 20:18

Hi everyone! I'm jumping on the bus... cd9 today and second month tying SMEP. Last month my LP was only 10 days but was my first proper cycle after coming off pill in January.

TTC #2. My LO is 20 months. I'm 37 so feeling a bit worried about age. Fell first cycle with my first so expectations are unrealistic for my age I reckon!

Am being serious about it from the get go as I feel time ticking on at 37!

Good luck all! Fingers crossed 🤞

Minster2012 · 14/05/2020 22:18

Evening! Wow lots to catch up on!

@Runnergirl1 & @Ltay2 & @Spinningthewheel I totally get you on the OPKs I was like that too & because I’m doing both CB & the ICs I’m only doing one IC until I get a high

@Clairey844 I’m fairly similar, 36, have DS 21 months (but I didn’t carry him, my best friend did, our embryo) I had a Medicated miscarriage of our IVF embryo in March but TTC naturally now as why not! (was on chemo before so couldn’t) So🤞🏻For our 🌈babies

@Cocoblue22 there’s a few ladies here come off the pill similar to you

@lucyrp hey! That sounds awful, sending virtual hugs your way. Maybe it was a chemical I don’t know but the smiley could be right as we don’t really know what our bodies do after a traumatic event like that & after miscarriages cycles are all over the place so it could be right, you could be then having a really short cycle but the good thing is that your body is producing LH so it can be licked up so If I were you I wouldn’t worry too much & take it as a good thing, DTD every other day & see what your body does over the next 2 weeks lovely xxx

@helia & @pirateweasel welcome! We are all learning here so if it’s this month or next We are around for support x

@Excitablemuch again similar to me DS 21 months & TTC Cycle 2 we think 🤞🏻I’m turning 36 in July so know what you mean

& there was someone else as well who finished the injection last year again similar to me I stopped depo may & had one period nov before doing IVF so I’m hoping my body is kickstarted now

KRK05 · 14/05/2020 22:55

I've just checked Flo tonight girls & it's just changed my AF due date 🤔 it had it as the 9th now it's the 7th for some strange reason, the only thing I've done is add my 2 temps in, yesterday morning then this morning. Surely it cant be based off 2 temps 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Ltay2 that ever happened to u cause I know u temp?

Skip86 · 15/05/2020 06:38

Morning everyone, and welcome to all the newcomers!

A few people talking about CM and cervix earlier, I'll only add that I find it really fascinating how it changes through the cycle (having never been told about it from mum or in sex ed classes etc, so as a teenager just thinking I was weird because I got wet knickers sometimes. If I have a girl I will teach her all about the workings of her body from a young age!), purely to get to know my own body and appreciate how amazing women are. In terms of TTC though I think I'll just keep an eye out for EWCM and not stress too much about the rest!

@Clairey844 hi! I'm quite similar to you with a just turned 2yo (and a 4.5yo), MMC at 11wks in Feb, and am 34. I have a few friends who have successfully breastfed older children through TTC and then pregnancy, and even tandem fed after birth of their second. Good luck to you this month!

@Excitablemuch I can understand feeling nervous about being a bit older, but if you fell so quickly only 29 months ago you I'm sure you're in with a good chance again!

@KRK05 I don't temp so not sure on that, but that's confusing, what a pain 😏 I know you're on the opks though so I'm sure once you log ovulation it will give the most accurate AF estimate? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm CD12 here and got my flashing smiley after 4 days of 'O' 🎉 bit of a shame when OH and I had a massive argument last night, and now he's going out after work today and I won't even see him till tomorrow. Humf. He is an awesome guy but has moments of being a right twat.

Skip86 · 15/05/2020 06:51

Oh and @lucyrp wow that sounds like a totally rubbish experience, poor thing. I'm not really sure what to make of your current opk situation though, as it does seem quite early to get peak. As @Minster2012 said, after your chemical/MMC it wouldn't be completely out of the question as your body is a bit confused and trying to get back on track.
However, the CB digitals really should only be used with the first urine of the day while you have the 'O' symbol, so I'm not sure that I would trust that the smiley face is correct. Once you have a flashing smiley with your FMU you can test again later in the day if you choose to.
CB tests for both oestrogen and LH, whereas most others just test for LH. You are best to test later in the day with the LH only tests as that is when you will get a higher concentration in your urine. Your CB may have detected 'high' LH but only when compared to your morning urine, but not when compared to the rest of your cycle and true ovulation. Those tests are clever little things.

I would wait until the morning, test again, and hopefully it's actually gone back to 'O'. However if the test holder is a bit confused by the whole thing and has a tantrum, it might be worth getting some cheap LH only strip and using them as well for this month.

Skip86 · 15/05/2020 06:53

Aargh sorry for my essays! 🙈🙈 I am sleeping when you're all on here so catch up with looong response once a day 😜

lucyrp · 15/05/2020 07:06

@Minster2012 it was awful was starting to think I wasn't ever going to be able to conceive again and then it happened and was so excited but wasn't long before that came crashing down. I think the only thing I can do this month whilst waiting for things to settle down and work themselves out is to DTD as much as is possible. TMI but OH and I often DTD every day so am going to try and keep that up as much as possible until I meet AF again whenever that will be xxx

lucyrp · 15/05/2020 07:14

@Skip86 it's quite confusing as I've just had to put this bleed down to AF but I'm not even sure if it is that but no way of knowing! I know I read thag it has to be your urine after your longest sleep but I did also read on the leaflet you can test 4 hours later without urinating so I did that after seeing thag the first is sometimes a baseline. It's so hard not to get carried away or feel like you're going crazy with this kind of thing! Especially when with my PFB it just happened with hardly any thought into it!

Yeah the test holder is now confused and will leave the smiley on until tomorrow dinner time by the looks so if I pop out today to the shop going to see if I can grab some cheap strips to use alongside it. Xx

Skip86 · 15/05/2020 07:23

@lucyrp sorry lovely but I think you may have interpreted the instructions incorrectly - yep you can test more than once a day, but only after you see high fertility symbol (so flashing smiley) 😊 until then it's important to test only once a day with FMU so the holder can obtain your baseline LH level.
Hope that helps x

lucyrp · 15/05/2020 07:27

@Skip86 I was reading them as I wrote that I did read it properly but thought I would give it a whirl anyway. I'm sure when TTC the instructions can say whatever you like but you still don't listen I know I don't in regards to pregnancy tests and what time of the day to do them and only to do one etc 😂 I just feel you get consumed by it all and do whatever you feel or believe in the end x

Attybae · 15/05/2020 07:42

Hello! I’m new here. I’m 29 and I turn 30 this year. My DH and I have been TTC for a year with no luck. 3/4 of that year was spent with him working offshore but he now is home for good. I have no bio children and no known fertility issues. It gets frustrating when I feel like I’m doing everything as far as opks to make sure we have sex before during and after ovulation. I got a strong positive ovulation test on May 8th so according to my app today is 6dpo. I’m really praying and hoping this is my month.

Skip86 · 15/05/2020 07:45

@lucyrp haha yes so true! And the urge to keep testing always trumps instructions 😂😂 As the CB works on algorithms though I'd say try your best to stick to the instructions or you'll be throwing money down the drain!

Skip86 · 15/05/2020 07:47

@Attybae welcome and good luck ✨

lucyrp · 15/05/2020 07:48

@Skip86 as long as I have a test in the house I will always do it I'm terrible so now I don't stock up until I think I need one otherwise I just waste money doing it. If it's sat in the bathroom cupboard I feel like there's a burning hole in there 😂

Yes definitely yesterday was a first day so am going to get the cheap strips because at least then I can satisfy my need of daily testing 😂 and only use the CB as per instructed x
