Ok, girls, our last thread did get crazy long so I am starting this one. If you don't like the name - well... too bad You'll get used to it over time .

ILTC, hi there sista! I feel like we're SO alike. Can you believe that my bleeding started again today? I was quite . And out of all places it started in a zoo when we were watching little sheep at the "petting zoo" section with DS and DH. Grrreat!~ Hope you're feeling better and this mess if over soon for all of us .

Rosybelle, hi there~ [sends a wave] Com'on over - sorry you're here but it's easier to get through things together. If you read my previous posts you know what I have to say - ERPC (or D&C) all the way. Good luck!

Scully, hi... you sound like me... actually my DH who is very much doubting TCC'ing again. And that's just after one MC! Well... we did have a stillborn DD1 but went on to have a beautiful DS. What would have happened if we got scared back then and didn't do it. Ooops, promised not to talk about it until mid-Oct. That's when my MC blood/ tissue results are back from the lab to tell us what was wrong with the baby. We agreed we wouldn't make any decisions until we find out.

Cricri, I know you won't be chechking this thread until later but hope your weekend in Holland is fab!

Hugs and smooches to all!

wheelybug · 17/09/2007 13:54

Oh he'd get used to it I'm sure .

sweetkitty · 17/09/2007 13:57

G43 - I was the same when I was G43 as well but now I wouldn't care if I had 2 and I bet neither would you just a good pregnancy with 2 healthy babies at the end, buy one get one free are you having an early scan?

wheelybug - my DD1 is the same, after nursery has to lie on the sofa for about half and hour to recover glad she had a ball but it's sad isn't it your baby growing up

nh101 · 17/09/2007 14:22

Goingfor3 - does a dip in temp sometimes mean PG? I have rread that a further rise in temp can sometimes mean PG but not a dip... I am 8DPO now - what am I looking for???

mcchesers · 17/09/2007 14:30

Woo Hoo G43! Very exciting news. I had a dream about fish on Sunday night, so someone had to be PG I'm doing a little happy dance just now.

This gives me hope. I have no idea where my period is but DH assures me it's in there somewhere because I bit his head off yesterday. oops...Next month though, back in the BD game.

Hello everyone!

goingfor3 · 17/09/2007 14:47

nh101 - sometimes you can have an implantation dip which I assume is what I had and the next day my temp was higher than it was pre implantation. It does happen to everyone so don't lose hope if you don't see it on your chart.

mcchesers - What does fish have to do with pregnancy

sweetkitty - I'm not sure if I will get an early scan, maybe 10 weeks if I'm lucky. I saw the consultant only a month ago and he told me to use contraception for the next three months, I feel like a naughty school girl. I will need to see him fairly soon as we need to discuss whether I had a stich put in at 12 weeks or go for weekly/fortninghly scans to asses my cervix. I think I should go and ring for a gp's appointment now as I will have to wait about 2 weeks for that!

goingfor3 · 17/09/2007 14:58

I can't get a gp's appointment for three weeks and that will be with a crappy dr so I have booked on with a good dr for the week after that but I will make myself an emergency appointment at the start of next week when I will be just over four weeks.

mcchesers · 17/09/2007 14:58

Oh right, um dreams about fish are meant to represent fertility. It's an old southern American superstition that dreaming about swimming fish means that you or someone you know is meant to be pregnant. I should have said, sorry I forget where I live sometimes. As I have yet to be "exposed" so to speak..I knew it wasn't me with the BFP. So hooray for you!

BTW...we haven't updated stats since forever.

I have a question for you ladies. If you do use a fertility monitor, and you start your AF in the afternoon, do you take your first pee test on the next morning? We were talking about getting one but I've never used one before so I don't know much about counting CD's and temping or any of that stuff.

Yay Goingfor3 - congratulations Fab news.

Wheely - glad your dd liked nursery. It's so funny how they get so knackered isn't it. Makes me think how on earth do we cope with work when they can't manage a day at nursery Had to apply for a school place for ds last week. Hope he gets in to the one at the top of our road. The intake is only 30 so we can't be guaranteed a place even though it is a two minute walk. It's such a sweet little school and it reminds me of the one I went to.

I have an appointment for a re-scan but am a bit worried it will coincide with my period again. Will have to work out dates.

ILTS - tampons = increased risk of infection. That's why they say don't use them after m/c but fine otherwise.

sweetkitty · 17/09/2007 15:42

G43 - when I had my last scan at the EPAS they told me next pregnancy to phone them direct at 7 weeks and they will scan me, they said 7 weeks as it's not an internal but if I wanted to go earlier I could have an internal scan. I thought this was really good I think if were up to me I would be scanned every week with the next one. One of the ladies on my last ante/post natal group had a stitch from early on, she was told not to have sex either and she got married and had her honeymoon whilst pregnant, her poor DH.

Abroller - pmsl at the "BFP"

mcchesers - I don't really know sorry but I would assume you would count the day you hvae to use pads/tampons for AF as CD1 and take your first pee test the day after. Although I believe for Persona you start testing a good few days after CD1 as you only get 10 sticks a cycle IYSWIM.

Oh that reminds me I bought a Persona off another mumsnetter and some sticks from Boots, if anyone wants it I would accept £20 + p&p absolute bargain tests sticks are brand new and cost £10 themselves. I'm not going to use it and it's just gathering dust would rather someone else got some use from it. Sorry blatant ad there

goingfor3 · 17/09/2007 15:47

mcchesers - that makes sense. I shall look out for fishes in my dreams!

sweetkitty - the stitch is usually put in at 12 weeks, I had it then with dd's and it was fine. Going to the epu won't really give me any reassurance as both my mc's were mid trimester.

katendmom · 17/09/2007 16:27

Goingfor3 I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I had goose bumps all over me when I was reading your post. See, this IS turning out to be a lucky post!

Like the rest of the ladies here, my advice to you is to sit back, close your eyes and think happy thoughts. Oh, and shouldn't you now be "GONEfor3"

Lcy nope, haven't been to Hockessin but it would have been fun to meet up in r/l

Scully I am too very sorry about your mom passing away... I am sure it does change a lot of perspectives... but if we live being afraid... I just wonder how much wonderful things we would be passing on? Good luck to you, my friend, and much strength to you~

Mcchesers I do too know about a "fish dream" LOL It's wild but it was true for me with my DS.

Question to you all - my doc asked to come back for a re-check after 2 weeks after my D&C. But he said that blood/ chromo analysis results won't be back until 4 weeks later... Do you think I should wait or should I still go in after 2 weeks? What do they look for then? Any danger in waiting and going in 4 weeks later? (I had a D&C so I HOPE everything is gone).

Oh, and yesterday was an interesting change of events. We were all watching TV, DH, DS and I. DH looked at DS and goes: "Wow, what a big boy you're. You would have been such a GREAT big brother." Don't know what has gotten in to me (cuz I swear, I promised myself not to make any decisions until the results of the test are back) but I immediately came back with: "Not WOULD have, WILL be!" and got all teary eyed. DH looked at me and under his breath just said: "You know I'll support you in whatever decision you make."

Sweet... but I'd prefer for it to be OUR decision... but even if it has to be MINE at first, it's ok I think Hmm... does it sound like I am still neutral or like a decision has been made in my head?! LOL

OP posts:
goingfor3 · 17/09/2007 16:32

katendmom - I would be a good idea to keep the appointment incase you have any question to ask. After both my m/c's I was seen about 5 weeks after one was natural and the other I had to have an erpc to take out the placenta.

Lcy · 17/09/2007 17:06

XXXX YIPEE CONGRATULATIONS GOINGFOR3 XXXX

Triggles · 17/09/2007 17:20

ILTS - I was told also that tampons were not to be used during m/c as they increased the risk of infection.

GF3 - Congratulations!!! What wonderful news!! Have a happy & healthy 9 months!!

Katendmom - Thanks for starting the new thread. The other one was getting sooo long! As far as your question, why don't you just give him a call and ask? You can maybe just say "I'm feeling fine, everything seems to be going ok. Can I just wait to see you at 4 weeks?" I honestly wouldn't think it would be a big problem, as long as you're not still bleeding or showing any signs of infection.

I'm expecting AF early. I'm 7dpo right now, and have had some off and on spotting since yesterday and a little cramping. I don't normally spot before AF, but I imagine the m/c is messing up my cycle to some degree. Getting ready for next cycle, and trying to decide if I want to make another attempt at temping, if I can remember to do it.

Lcy · 17/09/2007 17:26

Have you been trying this month triggles? 7 dpo spotting could be implantation bleeding? Dont want to get your hopes up xx

Triggles · 17/09/2007 17:33

Lcy - yes, we were kinda trying. According to OPK, I may have O'd on cd12 (not verified by temps, as I'm rubbish at remembering them), and we bd'd on cd11 and cd12. So I suppose technically there's a chance. But I've never had implantation bleeding EVER when I've been pregnant, so I just figured it's AF coming early due to being off from the m/c.

Lcy · 17/09/2007 17:41

i will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I am at 7 dpo tommorow and feeling really crampy - i was also wondering if it is mc stuff because i never get cramps before AF.

The wait is killing me!!!

kensgirl · 17/09/2007 18:24

Congratulations, Goingfor3!!! What a lovely way to open this new thread, I hope the luck continues!

But, not for me at the moment, as its CD1 . I really thought this could have been our month, but not to be again. So, its 9months since mc /ttc, and this will be the start of my 12th cycle. I'm finding today very, very hard.

ladylush, ask your gp for more than 1 weeks supply on ps, my lovely gp put 3 months supply on one prescription.

WMMC, hello honey. Sorry to be a pain, but would you ming giving me your email agin, for your sister, as I can't find the post with it on . Something tells me I might just need the extra help this month.

Hi to all, and I'm loving the new thread name. xx

cricri · 17/09/2007 18:53

Hello everybody and congratulations to Goingfor3! What wonderful news!! Thinking of all of you who are having an anxious wait at the moment too...
I've just spent half an hour catching up on all your posts and I also managed to find the new thread too. Love the name and thanks to Katenmom for creating it.
Well, Holland was great and it was good to see our friends again. The mc held off until this morning so I was able to enjoy the weekend which was good. As soon as we got back I went straight to the EPU at the hospital and got myself checked out. The doctor confirmed I was indeed miscarrying (!) and has asked me to come in for a scan in the morning to check if everything has gone. Anything below 2cm they won't worry about, she said so fingers crossed!
Rosybelle - your description of bleeding/spotting was exactly how it started for me so fingers crossed things start moving for you. I think it was the cycling that did it for me... As others on the thread have described, it's been like a very heavy period, with some painful cramping at times. I also hate sanitary towels!
At the moment I just feel relieved it's going to be over soon, but I still can't believe that just over a week ago I thought I was pg. I guess it takes the mind longer to get over it than the body.
I'll let you know how the scan went and in the meantime hope you all have a good evening. I totally agree with wine helping after mc by the way - I had rather a lot of it over in Holland! xx

cricri · 17/09/2007 18:55

kensgirl - sorry, my display didn't refresh until I posted my message so I hadn't seen yours. So sorry it didn't work for you this month...

goingfor3 · 17/09/2007 18:56

cricri - glad to haear that you had a great time in Holland. It's so sad that you are m/cing but at this point I'm sure you are relieved it has started, it sounds as if you are getting great care with the scans. Look after yourself.

goingfor3 · 17/09/2007 18:57

kensgirl - really sorry to hear about af, fingers crossed for you for next month.

Triggles - it could be implantation!

mcchesers · 17/09/2007 19:03

Kensgirl - thinking of you x My friend at work conceived after MC on her 12th cycle.

My friend sent me this link today:

www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6995387

aww it's a happy uterus. Maybe I should get one of those and hang it next to my prenatal vitamins in the cupboard.

Sweetkitty - I'm close by and would be interested in your Persona monitor if you are still selling it at the bargain price on your ad is that the one where the red light means green light for BDing?

Lcy · 17/09/2007 19:19

Kensgirl i am sending you a massive hug xx

Cricri - fingers crossed it is all over tommorow. Glad you had a good break
