Absolutely, fingers crossed! And it's perhaps reassuring that no cause has been found. Every reason to keep trying and hope it happens naturally.

Ripleysfirst · 29/04/2020 16:39

@Juno231have you considered testing more than once a day on your higher days? I sometimes get a high test in the morning and then a peak later that day...

@Skyla01 Yes id much rather just do IUI than IVF, and avoid the whole hormones injection and egg collection, but if that’s where I end up, I’ll do it.

Skyla01 · 29/04/2020 16:41

@Juno231 ok well maybe you will be a day or two later this cycle. I would keep DTD every other day or more just in case though. It's frustrating though.

Juno231 · 30/04/2020 09:54

@skyla01 on CD12 for OD on CD13. I had a cycle in early March though where I never caught a peak and in hindsight I think I ovulated on CD16. Might be that I'm having such a cycle again so I'll carry on testing for a bit.

@Ripleysfirst fingers crossed you don't have to proceed with the IUI's and get a sticky bean before then! If not then IUIs seem to have pretty decent success rates so it's good you can try that too as there's nothing technically wrong with you.

@Sammyclaire22 thanks for the pic, I'll be looking into getting the works if this cycle doesn't pan out I think!

By way of an update. Currently CD13, will be OPK testing this afternoon but am not hopeful. Giving OH a break yday/today and picking back up the DTD from tomorrow with the expectation of a late ovulation.

Skyla01 · 30/04/2020 11:12

@Juno231 I would defo keep going with the opks. And if you dtd every other day you'll be fine either way. Do you track cm at all? I find that can be quite a useful sign too.

@Ripleysfirst I hope none of us end up there! But yes I'm semi-prepares for that road too. Feeling a bit negative today, I feel like it's never going to happen for us. But no point in feeling down about it. I find I'm dwelling on it more atm with less distractions in life.

Juno231 · 30/04/2020 11:23

@Skyla01 no I don't track cm as I rarely have any and when I do it's at random times throughout the cycle.

How many cycles has it been again for you? I forget.

Ripleysfirst · 30/04/2020 12:26

@Skyla01yes I’m dwelling much more too. It feels like it’s such an impossible task sometimes. Like for some people it just magically happens and for others it’s such a controlled and almost ritualistic event haha. “If I go out for a walk on the 3rd day, eat a pineapple before noon and massage my feet then spin 3 times counterclockwise maybe it will work?”
Lol. At least we’re in this together 😂

Skyla01 · 30/04/2020 13:41

@Juno231 I've lost count of cycles thankfully- it was getting too depressing. Trying to lose count of months too but that's harder to do. 13 months or so.

@Ripleysfirst I know for some people it happens so easily, barely trying. For others it's a much longer & trying journey. We will all get there in the end. Frustrating as it is to see others have such an easy time, at least there are plenty of others in the same boat as us. We just have to keep plodding on and we'll get there. Although sometimes I genuinely can't imagine ever seeing a bfp- my AF is so annoyingly regular!

On the plus side I've had lots of time to grow vegetable seeds and my little plants and seedlings are doing great! Just need to channel that energy in to my uterus!

Ripleysfirst · 30/04/2020 13:57

@skyla01 Yes! I’m growing chillies and basil and cherry tomatoes are they’re doing very well:)
And same here with the annoyingly regular cycle. At least somethings working well;)

Skyla01 · 30/04/2020 16:21

@Ripleysfirst I know we're actually very lucky to be so regular. I shouldn't moan. But AF just won't disappear! At least it saves me money on pregnancy tests- I never bother taking one early because AF will be here before i know it to let me know.

Ripleysfirst · 30/04/2020 16:23

@skyla01 hahaha same! Although I do have some internet cheapies I take just to keep sane. I’ve promised myself that unless I get a real line on one of those I’m not allowed to take a proper test😂

Skyla01 · 30/04/2020 16:23

How is your basil doing? My seedlings are through but they are tiny, barely growing at all. I grew basil last year and I got small plants but they never got very strong.

nlm82 · 30/04/2020 16:29

Hi I'm new to this month 1 and into my tww I can't test for 10 days and it driving me mad, symptom spotting all the time and not sure if ovia ovulation app of right, suppose I'll just have to keep going x

lavenderlilaclily · 30/04/2020 18:02

hi @nlm82 and welcome! the tww is madness inducing indeed...soo hard not to symptom spot and test early. how many dpo are you?

@Ripleysfirst I've made the same deal with myself about the cheapies - I've got a stash of them and one proper test, and have told myself there has to be something on the cheapies before doing the proper one!

I am absolutely EXHAUSTED today, had to have a little snooze in the afternoon and too lazy to go on my daily walk....part of me wants to take it as a sign, but realistically I usually feel this tired at this point in my cycle so don't think it means anything.

Ripleysfirst · 30/04/2020 18:12

@Skyla01 my basil isn’t doing amazing, but I’ve got some plant food for it...and it helped!

@nlm82 welcome!

@lavenderlilaclily how many dpo are you? I was exhausted and nauseous most of last cycle and convinced myself it was a symptom...but AF still turned up. I’m wondering if maybe an eggs was fertilised but didn’t implant? Literally have no idea! I’m terrible for symptom spotting...

nlm82 · 30/04/2020 18:16

If the app is correct (who knows as I haven't tried the strips yet) then I would be 5dpo x

Sammyclaire22 · 30/04/2020 20:46

Welcome @nlm82... The app might be right but it might take a few cycles to see if it is getting your cycles average right. Keep tracking signs and symptoms and you will hopefully see a pattern.

Ia passion is hopefully on the cards for tonight! Hopefully get a few extra sessions in than normal before ov if we can keep it up hehe

nlm82 · 30/04/2020 21:40

Thank you x

Adrianoska · 30/04/2020 22:10

Heyah...

I am 7dpo today and seriously symptoms spotting for no reason. I wish I wasn't. And I wish I was pregnant 😔

How are you doing?

I am so done with corona now.

❤️

Ripleysfirst · 30/04/2020 22:20

@Adrianoska hey there! I can totally relate to that. No idea why but this whole situation is hitting me harder today too. Big hugs everyone. And here’s looking forward to next year and babies in our arms and the world being safe again ❤️

Adrianoska · 30/04/2020 22:51

😘😘😘🌸

Adrianoska · 30/04/2020 23:00

I just had a flip and a big cry because my husband didn't want to watch a film with me! Ffs. I feel so emotional and tired of this all.
I have been working really hard all day (lecturing from my kitchen table), looking after the house and all that... I haven't seen anyone for weeks and my parents are just about to divorce.. ..
Sorry. Ranting now. I know.
So sorry.
I wish I was pregnant 🌸

Ripleysfirst · 01/05/2020 08:49

@Adrianoska rant away! It’s totally understandable.
I’m a lecturer too btw! It’s been pretty intense moving all teaching online...

Juno231 · 01/05/2020 09:58

@Adrianoska all fully understandable! These are tough times to begin with, nevermind throwing TTC into the mix! Lots of hugs sent your way and make sure to focus on some self TLC this weekend x

CD14 today and still no positive OPK. Haven't DTD since Tuesday now as OH declined last night due to being too tired... I hope we haven't messed up our chances!

Skyla01 · 01/05/2020 10:46

@Adrianoska sorry your are stressed out, it's weird times just now. Hopefully not too much longer before we can get out and about. Hormones don't help either.

@Juno231 odd you haven't had a positive yet- I hope it appears soon. Sperm can live for 3 days so I wouldn't worry about skipping a night. It only takes 1 sperm. There's been plenty of months we've DTD loads and I didn't fall pregnant so now I'm s bit more chilled out, if we miss a night I don't stress. It'll happen when it's meant too.
